Abstract

本发明涉及一种人工晶状体,具体而言涉及一种被设计用作位于晶状体囊内的已有晶状体的补充的晶状体。
技术背景
人工晶状体通常包括一个光学部件(optic)和一个或多个支撑襻(haptics),且通常被置于晶状体囊内,用于取代天然晶状体。很多类型的这种人工晶状体及配置都是已知的。晶状体放置不合要求或老化,或者眼睛衰老以致晶状体不再特别有效,这就不能容易地通过替换晶状体来改善。
发明内容
根据本发明,人工晶状体包括一个光学部件和两个或更多个支撑襻,其中光学部件为凹凸形,即两面都相对于由光学部件的边缘所定义的平面以相同的方向弯曲,其中支撑襻与所述平面成一个角度并位于所述平面的、光学部件面向的相同侧,其中每一个支撑襻有一个光滑的波状径向外边缘。
根据本发明的晶状体的使用,包括将其插入一个在晶状体囊内已有一个人工晶状体的患者的睫状沟中。已有晶状体的光学部件的外表面和补充的晶状体的光学部件的内表面可具有基本相同的曲率。
支撑襻的角度用来最小化或防止眼色素层与晶状体接触,支撑襻的形状应当防止旋转,并且他们的长度应当确保在沟内良好定位,同时使支撑襻施加于沟的压力最小化。波状弯曲可沿支撑襻的长度沿续至支撑襻/光学部件接合处,以便将具有大支撑襻直径的晶状体施于所述沟上的力减小。
优选实施方案说明
本发明晶状体的一个特征是,支撑襻与由光学部件边缘所定义的平面成一个角度。这个角度通常为至少5°或8°,且典型地不超过15°或20°。最优选为大约10°。
在本发明的晶状体中,各支撑襻的径向外边缘应当与沟接触。对于给定尺寸的沟,例如直径12.5-13.5mm,接触表面的长度,或至少接触点间的距离,可为至少1mm,例如最大到4mm或更大。
本发明的另一特征是,各支撑襻的径向外边缘是光滑的和波状的。这种形状的目的是既最小化了对沟壁的损害也最小化了晶状体旋转。旋转可能不良地影响光学部件的校正性能。
根据本发明的晶状体的最大尺寸可为至少10或12mm,例如最大到14或15mm,所述最大尺寸可以是相对的支撑襻的两个相对的径向外边缘之间的距离。当然,它典型地可考虑到患者的沟尺寸来确定。可提供不同尺寸的晶状体以供外科医生使用。
光学部件可能基本上是传统的类型。它的直径可能例如为5至8mm。

图1显示实施本发明的人工晶状体的相关平面图和侧视图;和
图2是眼睛的一部分的示意图,显示在适当位置的两个晶状体(其中一个实施了本发明)。
图1a显示一个晶状体,其包括光学部件1(直径6.5mm)和支撑襻2a和2b,该支撑襻的径向外边缘可被描述为限定以虚线轮廓线示出的圆3,该圆的直径为13.5mm。支撑襻的径向外边缘4a和4b各自为波状的。

除了本发明的具有光学部件1和支撑襻2a和2b的晶状体之外,图2显示了位于囊袋7中的传统人工晶状体。可以看出,内晶状体的外表面和外晶状体的内表面具有基本相同的曲率。虽然可以理想地最小化两者的间隙,但这不是必需的。补充的晶状体——即根据本发明的晶状体——被置于睫状沟中,如从图2明显可见该睫状沟的直径稍大于囊袋。在实际应用中,此晶状体通常不接触虹膜。
Claims (4)
1.一种人工晶状体,其包括一个光学部件和两个或更多个支撑襻,其中光学部件为凹凸形,即两面都相对于由光学部件的边缘所定义的平面以相同的方向弯曲,其中支撑襻与所述平面成一个角度并位于所述平面的、光学部件面向的相同侧,其中每一个支撑襻有一个光滑的波状径向外边缘。
2.根据权利要求1的晶状体,其中光学部件的直径为5至8mm。
3.根据权利要求1或2的晶状体,其最大尺寸为12至15mm。
4.根据权利要求1或2的晶状体,其中所述角度为5°至20°。
