Description

本发明涉及医疗保健床垫(healthcare mattress)，且更具体地说，本发明涉及一种减压医疗保健床垫系统(pressure reduction healthcare mattresssystem)。
相关技术的描述
用于制造当今的合成泡沫材料的新原材料、化工工艺和成分已经允许比以往使用更多种类的泡沫。在经过一段时间的使用后，所有泡沫都显示轻微的主体凹陷。甚至那些经化学改进的最昂贵且豪华的泡沫当在医疗保健环境中使用一天24小时时，随着时间的过去也会显示轻微的凹陷效果。热、湿气以及床的活动连接都会影响泡沫的孔，并因此影响医院的床垫。

优选实施方式的详细描述
参照图1至图4b描述了根据本发明实施方式的减压床垫。该减压床垫是具有凸起形状的中间支撑层的三层层压床垫，其在边缘处具有较低的轮廓，而整个床垫上从头延伸到脚的身体部分具有略微升高的轮廓。新研制的泡沫有利记忆，并使病人被环绕和支撑，而不是使病人陷入因一天24小时时间段的使用而产生的中空凹陷中。这种结构也允许将减压床垫制造成较小的高度，例如与通常所制造的高度为6英寸至7英寸的常规构造医疗保健床垫相比约为5英寸。当床为较低高度时，这种减压床垫的较低轮廓允许病人更容易上下床。减压床垫的较低轮廓也增加了床的边栏(siderail)的防护作用，并为床上的一些病人提供更多保护。同样，完整的未模切的内侧边栏防护装置(internal side rail protection)距边界约23/4英寸，从而在病人坐在床垫一侧时为其提供更安全的边界。
如图1-3c所示，床垫的泡沫芯具有三个泡沫层。上层1由两件单独的泡沫形成(优选粘弹性记忆保持泡沫(Visco Elastic memory retentionfoam))，即，躯干上层1a和足部/小腿部分1b。上层1设计成支撑病人的骨隆凸(bony promince)。它轻微地压缩，并被中间凸起形状的弹性泡沫层2支撑。两件泡沫1a和1b在距泡沫芯足部部分约24英寸处通过胶接接合。足部/小腿部分1b优选由低密度(更柔软的)粘弹性记忆保持泡沫制成，以便形成第一层足跟保护。泡沫上层1约1英寸厚。
中间层或第二支撑层2沿两个纵向边约2英寸高，并略微地逐渐凸起，且沿纵向中心线最高约2.25英寸。该中间支撑层2具有三种模成型图案(dieshaped pattern)。第一种图案在头部部分具有小的模成型的“+”(die shaped“+”)，而第二种图案在肩胛骨到大腿区域具有稍微更宽且更稀疏(open)的模切的“+”(die cut“+”)。第三种模成型图案是在中间支撑层2的足跟区域的足跟垫空腔(heel pillow cavity)2a。完整的未模切的内侧边栏防护装置2b距侧边边界约23/4英寸，从而在病人坐在床垫一侧时为其提供更安全的边界。
足跟垫21是泡沫填充的纤维垫，其装配在中间层2的足跟垫空腔2a中。它由四层合成原材料制成，并被装入缝合起来的无纺垫套内。如图3b所示，足跟垫21包括在冠状泡沫嵌入物21b之上的三层针刺聚酯纤维(needle-punched polyester fiber)21a。由于这一结构，足跟垫不会像常规设立的或家用型垫那样向下堆压。它结合衬在垫中的三个单独的聚酯纤维层的底部上的凸起的成形切削泡沫21b的楔(在中心约1/4英寸的高度)。因此，垫21与芯中泡沫的凸起的中间支撑层2的轮廓一致。足跟垫21是对影响病人医疗保健环境的关键的足跟压力问题的第二个解决方案。
减压医疗保健床垫泡沫芯中的泡沫基础层，即更低的支撑层3的高度约为2.25英寸。其配备有设置在芯的头部部分活动连接点和膝部部分活动连接点的活动连接切口3a。基础层3还具有渐缩的斜坡部分3b的特征，该斜坡部分3b从距泡沫基部末端约24英寸处开始向足跟部分逐渐减小。该斜坡部分3b开始约2.25英寸高，并在床垫足部部分降低到约1.25英寸高。这形成对病人的第三层足跟保护。由于斜坡部分3b，床垫的总高度在足跟部分具有向下倾斜的形状。
尽管以上实施方式描述了各种尺寸，但可采用其他适当的尺寸，且本发明不限于在此所描述的精确尺寸。
如从以上描述看到的，依据本发明实施方式实施的减压床垫在其设计中具备三个理想特征：(1)在足跟部分的低密度上层泡沫1b，(2)带有凸起楔的足跟垫21，以及(3)更低支撑层中的斜坡3b。这些特征实现了床垫的减压特性。在此图中显示出的另一特征是第三层底部表面上的横向切口，这些横向切口有利于此坚固层和整个床垫芯的活动连接。
如图4a和4b所示，泡沫芯被顶罩4、底罩5以及连接顶罩和底罩的拉链6(优选270度拉链)包裹，从而形成拉链式防水包裹系统。该床垫还包括用于保持被褥的亚麻锁固件(linen lock)51和在底罩5上的搬运把手52。优选地，所有泡沫都是抗菌的，且符合通常的易燃性标准(如加利福尼亚技术报告117号)。
实例
下表1显示了依据本发明实施方式的减压床垫的实例(“实施方案”)。它也将减压床垫与常规床垫(“对比物”)的结构进行了比较。床垫可制成不同的尺寸，如191×88.5×15.24cm、191×80.5×15.24cm、或191×75.5×15.24cm。

Claims (8)

1.一种用于减压医疗保健床垫的泡沫芯，其包括：
上层，其由记忆保持泡沫材料制成；
中间层，其由泡沫材料制成，并具有沿纵向中心线比沿两条纵向边高的凸起形状，
其中，所述中间层界定在所述泡沫芯的足跟部分中的足跟垫空腔以及装配入所述足跟垫空腔内的足跟垫，
其中，所述足跟垫包括一层或多层纤维材料和在所述纤维材料下的泡沫嵌入物，所述泡沫嵌入物具有沿纵向中心线比沿两条纵向边高的凸起形状，其中，所述足跟垫与所述中间层的凸起形状一致；以及
下部支撑层，其由泡沫材料制成。
