Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及具有多个打印头的打印装置领域,特别是用于在滚筒纸(web)上连续打印的打印装置。
本发明的目的涉及一种在带油墨的打印色带上进行打印的方法,该打印色带将油墨转移到卷筒纸或基片上。本发明包括获取优化的移动次序以使打印色带同打印装置的打印头协调移动,从而在使用色带的打印中获得更快的速度并减少停歇时间。
背景技术
通常公知有各种打印装置,其中待打印的基片或卷筒纸从步进电机驱动的卷轴供应并具有打印头,该打印头借助于带油墨的打印色带、在卷筒纸停止时将譬如图形或符号打印于其上。
打印头开始在打印色带上进行打印以将油墨转移给横向移动的卷筒纸。
打印色带通常向前移动打印下一空白区段所需的长度,以防止在连续的两段内发生重复打印。
由于每次色带停止时,打印发生在与在先打印相连续的区段(contiguoussectors)上,以致在色带上所有区段的打印中上述情形出现的次数最终将非常多,因此单打印头的使用在很大程度上限制了色带的性能。
为了加速打印过程,统一、等距排布的数个打印头被用在色带行进的上方,其中所有的打印头同时工作,并在色带的不同区段实施打印。打印头在色带上向下且平动移动(translational movement)进行打印,然后收回以便允许色带前进。
由于打印头是间隔排开的,所以刚开始打印时所获得的标记也是间隔开的,因而色带必须移动以保证下次打印会发生在这些标记中间尚未打印的区段上。
不少解决办法已为打印动力学领域所公知,它们取决于打印发生的区域、装置本身以及通过各打印头进行打印的设计。
其中最常见的一种用于具有多个打印头的打印装置的打印次序包括:逐步移动色带使之在每一步骤都等于打印区段的长度。这样,色带只有在其所有位于已打印标记之间的中间区段都已经被覆盖时才停止打印,然后色带被移动一个等于打印头的间距加一次打印的距离,以便在上述次序之后在色带上的未打印区段再次进行打印。
由于色带最后一次移动所需的时间通常特别长并会延迟连续打印过程,上述打印方法可以被优化。
发明内容
本发明所提出的打印方法允许通过n个打印头在带油墨的打印色带的多个区段S上进行打印,油墨从该色带转移到待打印的卷筒纸上,这样可以最优化利用色带的整个表面并减少操作时间,由此赋予打印过程更高的效率。
上述打印方法应用于具有n个打印头、各打印头的中心具有相等间距d的打印装置,所述打印头在每个打印行程下降并在色带上移动,从而确定一个打印长度a,其小于或者等于打印色带上所划分的区段S的长度l。
该打印方法包括如下步骤:
a)使用n个打印头在色带上执行打印,从而确定长度为a的打印区段,
b)将卷筒纸移动d+1的距离,
c)连续执行操作a)和b)
设定[*]n≤d/l+1
其中N≥2,
通过这一打印方法,避免了如以往出现的、有些导致持续时间过长的行进距离不等现象;由于在每一步骤中行进距离都是d+1,最终可以很大程度上减少打印装置的操作时间。

具体实施方式
参见上述附图,描述了一种用于配备有两个以上打印头(A,B,C,D等)的打印装置的打印方法,所述打印装置在位于其打印头下方的带油墨打印色带X上执行打印,所述打印色带X在打印头(A,B,C,D等)停止时沿纵向移动,并在打印头(A,B,C,D等)在其上执行打印时停止,由此将油墨转移到沿横向移动的滚筒纸或基片上。
图1显示了具有三个打印头(A,B,C)的打印装置,其中可以看到打印头中心之间的间距被定义为d。打印色带X被分隔成长度为l的多个区段S,标记通过打印头(A,B,C)打印其上并具有小于或等于区段S的长度l的打印长度a。在此情况下,对于三个打印头,按照公式[*]证明n≤d/l+1其中d≥2l。
图1显示了在时刻t1,打印头(A,B,C)下降,并在色带上移动,打印具有长度a的标记(A1,B1,C1),而后打印头(A,B,C)上升以允许色带的后续移动,直到打印头(A,B,C)在打印色带X上再次打印标记(A2,B2,C2)的时刻t2,色带才停止移动,在此期间色带前进了距离d+1。
如同图1中所示,按照该打印方法以及选定的打印头数目,打印带上的所有空间都得以标记,从而在打印头离开色带时可以获得一个充满连续标记的打印后色带。
图2显示了具有5个打印头的打印装置的上述打印过程,其中按照公式[*]证明当n=5时,相应地d≥4l。
在此情况下,打印操作通过打印头(A,B,C,D,E)在以长度l为单位被划分成多个区段S的打印色带X上执行。在时刻t1,随着打印色带X停止,标记(A1,B1,C1,D1,E1)被打印其上,接着色带前进距离d+1然后停止,以允许打印头(A,B,C,D)在另一时刻t2再次打印并产生标记(A2,B2,C2,D2,E2),类似过程继续进行直到时刻t4,此时所有相邻的区段S都被标记在色带X上并离开打印装置。这种过程将循环持续,色带输出的同时确保其所有的区段S都被打印。
在上述所有的例子中,每次打印的长度a都会小于或等于色带X上每个区段S的长度l。
Claims (1)
1.一种适用于具有n个打印头(A,B,C,D等)的打印装置的打印方法,所述打印头(A,B,C,D等)在其中心之间以间距d被等间距排列,并在带油墨的打印色带(X)上执行打印,所述打印色带(X)被划分成长度为1的连续区段(S)且被置于所述打印头下方,并在打印头(A,B,C,D等)静止时沿纵向移动而在打印头(A,B,C,D等)执行打印时停止,从而将墨水转移到沿着横向移动的卷筒纸或基片上,其特征在于包括以下步骤:
a)通过打印头(A,B,C,D等)在色带(X)上执行打印,并确定长度为a的已打印区段(A1,B1,C1,D1...),
b)将色带(X)移动d+1的距离,
c)在色带(X)上连续执行操作a)和b),
设定n≤d/l+1,其中n≥2。
