技术领域
本发明总体涉及一种便携式通信终端,例如,蜂窝电话、个人通信服务(PCS)终端、个人数字助理(PDA)或者手持电话(HHP),更具体地说,涉及一种具有柔性显示单元的折叠式便携式通信终端。
背景技术
考虑到便携性,便携式通信装置不仅强调紧凑性、纤小性、良好的抓握属性以及轻巧性,还强调多媒体可应用性,从而提供更广泛的多种功能,例如,包括游戏或运动图像观看服务的娱乐功能。
尤其是,期望未来的便携式通信装置除语音通信功能之外还涵盖包括视频通信、游戏、互联网和摄像功能的更多的多媒体功能和多用途使用。
考虑到便携性和方便性,传统的便携式通信装置可根据它们的外观分类,例如,被分为直板式通信装置和折叠式通信装置。直板式通信装置具有形似直板的单一壳体,在该单一壳体上安装了数据输入/输出装置和发送/接收装置。折叠式便携式通信装置具有通过铰链装置结合到单一的直板状壳体上的折叠体,其结合方式是,折叠体可朝着壳体折叠或者从壳体展开。
例如,在折叠式便携式通信装置中,折叠体可以通过铰链单元可旋转地结合到主体,键可被设置在主体上,显示单元可被设置在折叠体中,其有利于小型化和便携性。
在共同转让给本申请的受让人的美国专利第6,865,406号中公开了一种折叠式便携式通信装置。
但是,安装在传统便携式通信装置中的显示单元可被固定到主体壳体中,并且在显示单元的固定区域内显示各种数据,这导致当在数字多媒体广播(DMB)模式、TV模式或视频点播(VOD)模式下观看运动画面时,视觉上不方便。换句话说,由于在显示单元中显示的屏幕小,当用户观看显示的数据时不方便。
当然,上述问题可通过增大便携式通信装置的大小、安装宽显示单元以及设置更多的键来解决。但是,这些方案的每一种都与小型化的趋势背道而驰,因此,会给用户带来不方便。
发明内容
本发明提供一种具有可被安装在小空间中的柔性显示单元的折叠式便携式通信装置。
本发明还提供一种能够提供大于小的主体壳体的宽显示屏的折叠式便携式通信装置。
本发明还提供一种可提高多媒体环境中的视觉界面环境的折叠式便携式通信装置。
本发明还提供一种通过在与运动画面观看相关的模式下提供宽显示屏而可变得更加方便的折叠式便携式通信装置。
本发明的其它特征将在以下描述中被阐述,并且一部分通过以下描述将变得清楚,或者可通过实施本发明而学习到。
本发明公开一种便携式通信装置,其包括:主体壳体;折叠壳体,通过铰链单元结合到主体壳体,以绕铰链轴旋转;柔性显示单元,当折叠壳体展开时,柔性显示单元从主体壳体中被拉出,以打开其显示屏。
本发明还公开一种便携式通信装置,其包括:主体壳体;突起单元,沿着主体壳体的侧端延伸;折叠壳体,通过铰链单元结合到主体壳体,以围绕铰链轴旋转;柔性显示单元,当折叠壳体展开时,柔性显示单元从突起单元中被拉出,以打开其显示屏。
本发明还公开一种便携式通信装置,其包括:主体壳体,包括总是被暴露的多个第一键;折叠壳体,通过铰链单元结合到主体壳体,以围绕铰链轴旋转;柔性显示单元,当折叠壳体展开时,柔性显示单元从主体壳体中被拉出,以打开其显示屏。

具体实施方式
以下,通过参照附图更加全面地描述本发明,图中显示了本发明的实施例。但是,本发明可按照许多不同的形式来实现并且不应该被理解为限于在此描述的实施例。此外,这些实施例被提供以使得本公开更加彻底,并且将把本发明的范围完全传递给本领域技术人员。附图中相同的标号指代相同的元件。
如图1至图4所示,根据本发明示例性实施例的便携式通信装置包括:主体壳体100;折叠壳体200,通过铰链单元300可旋转地结合到主体壳体100,从而围绕第一铰链轴A1和第二铰链轴A2旋转;柔性显示单元400,从主体壳体100被拉出以打开其显示屏。主体壳体100的纵向和折叠壳体200的纵向可平行于第一铰链轴A1和第二铰链轴A2。柔性显示单元400可用柔性液晶显示(LCD)装置来实现,可按照卷起的状态安装并且可通过从卷起的状态展开而被打开。铰链单元300可以是双轴铰链并且可提供第一铰链轴A1和第二铰链轴A2。第一铰链轴A1和第二铰链轴A2可互相平行。
主体壳体100包括沿着侧端延伸的突起单元110。突起单元110从主体壳体100的顶表面突出预定高度,以容纳卷起的柔性显示单元400。柔性显示单元400的安装状态如图8所示。
如图8所示,柔性显示单元400可安装在主体壳体100中,更具体地说,柔性显示单元400可在突起单元110中卷起并且当折叠壳体200旋转时可从突起单元110中被拉出。柔性显示单元400的端部可被固定到折叠壳体200上。换句话说,柔性显示单元400的端部可固定到当折叠壳体200旋转时运动得最多的端部。当折叠壳体200关闭时,柔性显示单元400可通过安装在柔性显示单元400的旋转轴中的弹性体的力而自动地重新卷绕到突起单元110中。
图5是显示根据折叠壳体200的打开/关闭操作,柔性显示单元400被拉出的过程的透视图。如图5所示,柔性显示单元400被拉出的量可与折叠壳体200旋转的量成正比。换句话说,当折叠壳体200折叠在主体壳100上时,柔性显示单元400不被拉出,而当折叠壳体200从主体壳100完全旋转时,柔性显示单元400被完全拉出。在图4中,柔性显示单元400被完全拉出,可提供宽显示单元。随着折叠壳体200旋转的量逐渐增大,柔性显示单元400被拉出的量也逐渐增大。
如图1所示,多个第一键120可沿着纵向布置在突起单元110的顶表面上。第一键120始终被暴露。固定显示单元210和与其相邻的多个第二键220可布置在折叠壳体200的外表面201上。第二键220可用触摸键来实现。光学操纵杆传感器(optical joystick sensor)222可被设置在第二键220中。
如图6所示,第三键122可被设置在主体壳体100的两个侧端。如图7所示,摄像透镜130可被设置在主体壳体100的底面上。
如图2和图3所示,当折叠壳体200旋转大约90°时,柔性显示单元400的显示屏保持在倾斜状态。如图4所示,当折叠壳体200旋转大约180°时,柔性显示单元400的显示屏被最大程度地打开,从而面对主体壳体100和折叠壳体200。图1显示的是在电话模式下使用的状态,图2至图4显示的是可便于运动图像观看的状态。
如上所述,根据本发明的示例性实施例,通过柔性显示单元,可在小的安装空间中设置宽显示屏,并且主体壳体支撑柔性显示单元的结构可为用户提供视觉稳定性。因此,本发明的示例性实施例在未来的多媒体时代可提高视觉界面环境并且可提供包括电子书或导航功能的各种应用。
本领域技术人员应该理解,在不脱离在权利要求及其等同物的范围内的本发明的精神和范围的情况下,可做出各种修改和改变。
Claims (12)
1.一种便携式通信装置,包括:
主体壳体;
折叠壳体,通过铰链单元结合到主体壳体,以绕铰链轴旋转;
柔性显示单元,当折叠壳体展开时,柔性显示单元从主体壳体中被拉出,以打开其显示屏。
2.如权利要求1所述的便携式通信装置,其中,主体壳体的纵向平行于所述铰链轴。
3.如权利要求1所述的便携式通信装置,其中,柔性显示单元以卷起的状态被存放在主体壳体中,并且当折叠壳体展开时其展开,柔性显示单元的端部结合到折叠壳体。
4.一种便携式通信装置,包括:
主体壳体;
突起单元,沿着主体壳体的侧端延伸;
折叠壳体,通过铰链单元结合到主体壳体,以围绕铰链轴旋转;
柔性显示单元,当折叠壳体展开时,柔性显示单元从突起单元中被拉出,以打开其显示屏。
5.如权利要求4所述的便携式通信装置,其中,柔性显示单元以卷起的状态被存放在突起单元中,并且当折叠壳体展开时,柔性显示单元从突起单元中被拉出。
6.如权利要求5所述的便携式通信装置,其中,柔性显示单元被拉出的量与折叠壳体展开的量成正比。
7.一种便携式通信装置,包括:
主体壳体,包括始终被暴露的多个第一键;
折叠壳体,通过铰链单元结合到主体壳体,以围绕铰链轴旋转;
柔性显示单元,当折叠壳体展开时,柔性显示单元从主体壳体中被拉出,以打开其显示屏。
8.如权利要求7所述的便携式通信装置,还包括:
突起单元,沿着主体壳体的侧端延伸,
其中,第一键被布置在突起单元的顶表面上。
9.如权利要求7所述的便携式通信装置,还包括:
固定显示单元,被安装在折叠壳体的外表面上,
其中,多个第二键被设置为与固定显示单元相邻。
10.如权利要求8所述的便携式通信装置,其中,柔性显示单元以卷起的状态被存放在突起单元中,并且当折叠壳体展开时,柔性显示单元从突起单元中被拉出。
11.如权利要求7所述的便携式通信装置,其中,柔性显示单元被拉出的量与折叠壳体展开的量成正比。
12.如权利要求7所述的便携式通信装置,其中,柔性显示单元是柔性液晶显示装置。
