技术领域
本发明涉及一种车辆安全系统,这种安全系统特别关注儿童座椅的误用情况。
背景技术
一篇注明日期为2003年5月且代表美国国家公路交通安全管理局(NHTSA)的报导测评了目前大众中误用儿童限制系统(CRS)的水平(Misuse of Child Restraints,NHTSA,DOT HS 809 671)。作者根据对覆盖美国几个洲的大范围区域的调查报导了72.6%的危险误用。危险误用包括儿童座椅的方位不适当、车辆安全带松散、年龄/配合不适当等情况。在一些独立的案件中,报导了多个彼此独立的危险误用情况。调查发现旅行时不用CRS的婴儿和儿童中,重量达20lb(9.1kg)的占2.9%、重量达20至39lb(9.1kg至17.7kg)的占13.6%、重量达40至59lb(17.7kg至26.8kg)的占58.3%。总的来说,最容易受伤的乘客中几乎17%未适当地受到CRS的限制,只有该系统在发生汽车事故或者紧急刹车时提供足够的保护。

信息获得可以基于视觉获得、热成像、压力传感、儿童座椅存在/方位检测、安全带带扣开关检测、安全带张力检测或者温度检测。因此,每个获取单元提供用于确定儿童座椅误用的一部分信息。
视觉信息可以通过诸如二维摄像机或者三维摄像机或者这两种摄像机的组合等任何成像系统获得。成像系统优选地布置在汽车内,以至其视域覆盖儿童座椅位于其上的车辆座椅的至少一部分。成像系统可以在红外光谱区内是敏感的并提供其视域的热图像。作为选择,成像系统可以配备有例如在红外光谱区内发光的LED等光源,以及可以检测反向散射的光。利用成像系统,可以检测儿童座椅的方位和类型,并且还可以识别儿童座椅是空的还是被占用了。如果已被占用,可以区分出物体和儿童。此外,可以估计儿童座椅中的儿童或婴儿的尺寸和/或重量。还可以确定安全带和/或CRS背带是否在正确的位置。
二维图像可以由二维摄像机提供,二维摄像机允许寻找图像内的特定形状。因此,控制器可以借助于适当的软件来识别不同的对象。除了可以利用二维摄像机之外,三维摄像机还可以提供与所检测的对象有关的距离信息。
包括二维摄像机和三维摄像机的双重成像系统的优势例如在于减少了用于三维摄像机所提供的图像的计算时间,这时由于可能减小了三维图像分辨率或者三维图像尺寸。二维摄像机提供可以确定重要性区域的图像,然后可以借助于三维摄像机对该区域进行进一步的分析。
此外,如果儿童座椅不存在,可以借助于成像系统对车辆座椅的占用者的尺寸和重量进行分类。利用十分精细的系统,可以检测出由视域覆盖的区域内的儿童和物体,并确定在发生事故或者紧急刹车的情形下它们是否有危险。

在除了车内婴儿床和辅助装置之外的所有CRS中,儿童需要用CRS背带系上。这种背带(4点安全带)可以容易地被二维摄像机检测出(轮廓或者边缘检测)。在几种“现实”的情形中,儿童可能从左臂或右臂挂环滑下而未解开带扣:这可以借助于二维摄像机检测出。可能一些非常特殊的CRS模式要求借助于车辆安全带而不是借助于特定的背带将儿童系住——在这种情形下,应该编入“无背带CRS”标志位。
获取单元还可以包括压力传感器。这种压力传感器具有多个独立的压力检测器,这些检测器成排互连,从而提供作用在椅座表面的至少相关部分上的压力模式。因此,压力传感器可以检测由儿童座椅产生的压力分布。为了检测车辆座椅的椅座表面上的压力分布,压力传感器优选地布置在车辆座椅的椅座部分的适当位置。控制器可以利用压力传感器提供的数据来估计座椅中的占用者或儿童的重量。
然而,不同类型的压力传感器可以用于本发明。例如可以将单个或者多个压力传感器集成在儿童座椅中,以便将关于儿童座椅中存在儿童的信息提供给控制器。此外,这种压力传感器可以测量放在儿童座椅中的儿童的重量。因此,控制器可以确定儿童座椅对于儿童的尺寸或者儿童的重量是否适当。
存在特殊的传感器,其将儿童座椅存在/方位检测功能和压力传感功能集成在单个装置中,这对于本发明可能特别适宜。
另一种类型的获取单元是确定是否正确地系好安全带的安全带带扣开关传感器,或者是检测安全带张力的安全带张力传感器。
还可以通过温度传感器获得汽车内部或者外部的温度。温度传感器可以用于检测儿童座椅中儿童的存在。
为了检测儿童座椅的误用情况,第一获取单元优选地选自:儿童座椅存在/方位检测器、压力传感器、儿童座椅存在/方位检测器与压力传感器的组合,而第二获取单元包括安全带带扣传感器和/或安全带张力传感器。
在可选实施方式中,第一获取单元包括成像系统,而第二获取单元选自:儿童座椅存在/方位检测器、压力传感器、儿童座椅存在/方位检测器与压力传感器的组合、安全带带扣传感器、安全带张力传感器。
根据两种获取单元提供的信息来检测儿童座椅的误用情况,其中,第一获取单元可以包括二维摄像机、三维摄像机或者这两种摄像机的组合。
在存在作为第一获取单元的成像系统以及作为第二获取单元的儿童座椅存在/方位检测器之后,控制器可以确定误用情况,诸如根据儿童座椅类型的儿童座椅的方位不适当、年龄/配合不适当、儿童座椅背带松散、座椅背带路径不适当、儿童座椅的位置错误等。
成像系统与压力传感器的组合允许例如确定年龄/配合不适当、儿童座椅的位置不正确以及儿童座椅未对齐。
可以通过利用成像系统以及压力传感器和儿童座椅存在/方位检测器的组合来改进误用的检测。
与安全带张力传感器组合的成像系统允许检测安全带松散、安全带的路径不适当等。
根据本发明的另一实施方式,安全系统包括至少一个附加获取单元,该获取单元可以是例如成像系统、儿童座椅存在/方位检测器、压力传感器、安全带带扣传感器、安全带张力传感器以及温度传感器。于是,优选的是,控制器可以单独评估所述至少一个附加获取单元提供的信息,以及评估该信息与第一、第二信息组合的信息,从而增加用于评估儿童座椅的安全状况所需考虑的信息量。
通过两个以上获取单元获得补充或者冗余信息,控制器可以更准确地处理情况。几种其它的传感器(例如门锁传感器或者发动机打开/关闭传感器)也可以与控制器相连以便于改变控制器的作为车辆状况的函数的响应。
为了通知驾驶员关于儿童座椅误用的情况,安全系统还可以包括警告装置,该警告装置可以通过控制器触发。警告装置可以在汽车内部或者外部发出任何种类的警告信号,例如声音信号、视觉信号或者触觉信号。
本领域的技术人员将理解,在可能的实施方式中,安全带卷收器可以与控制器相连,安全带卷收器被构造成基于控制器发出的误用信号来施加一定量级的安全带张力。根据儿童座椅,可以借助于卷收器将最佳大小的张力施加给安全带,以便于确保在发生事故或者紧急刹车的情形下适当地限制儿童座椅。
根据优选实施方式,安全系统包括温度传感器和与控制器相连的车窗升降器:车窗升降器被构造成对误用信号作出响应而打开车窗。如果控制器检测到儿童在车内且温度非常高,一个或者多个车窗可以自动地打开,以便于气流流动以及汽车停放时可以进入车内。布置在客室外部的警告装置可以使汽车外部的人注意到车内的儿童。

具体实施方式
图1大致示出了用于对布置在乘客座椅14上的儿童座椅12(见图2)的误用进行检测的安全系统10的方框图。安全系统10包括电子控制单元20,该电子控制单元用于评估由相连的传感器提供的数据以便检测儿童座椅的误用。电子控制单元20包括数据库21,数据库21具体地含有关于儿童座椅的类型、识别标签、规格等制造信息。从而,由传感器提供的数据可以与储存于存储器中的制造详细情况相比较。在检测儿童座椅的误用时,电子控制单元20通过触发警告装置22来通知驾驶员。
成像系统30将图像信息提供给电子控制单元20。安全系统10还包括儿童座椅存在/方位检测器40以及压力传感器42。安全带带扣传感器50将关于安全带16系束的状态的二进制信息提供给电子控制单元20。安全带16的张力由安全带张力传感器52测量。其它数据可以由温度传感器60、门锁传感器62、车顶传感器64(其检测车顶是打开还是关闭)以及发动机传感器66(其检测发动机是否运行)来收集。
图2示出放在乘客座椅14上的儿童座椅12的示意图。成像系统30包括二维CMOS或者CCD摄像(照相)机32以及三维摄像(照相)机34,这些摄像机布置成其各自的视域33、35覆盖乘客座椅14。基于二维摄像机32提供的图像,电子控制单元20确定将要用三维摄像机34分析的重要性区域。因此,在含有例如儿童座椅12的区域内,测量距离并获得关于儿童座椅位置的准确信息。
借助于成像系统30,可以检测儿童座椅12是空的还是被占用了。如果存在与车内婴儿床中的儿童和婴儿不同的物体的话,也可以将其检测出。基于成像系统30提供的图像信息,电子控制单元还可以确定儿童座椅背带或者安全带16是否在适当的位置。还可以确定是否正确地将儿童系在儿童座椅上。
此外,基于成像系统30提供的图像信息,电子控制单元20可以确定儿童座椅12中的儿童或者乘客座椅14的占用者的尺寸和胖瘦。还可以检测二维摄像机32的视域33以及三维摄像机34的视域35中的儿童。
优选地集成在压力传感器42中的儿童座椅存在/方位检测器40布置在乘客座椅14的位于儿童座椅12下方的椅座部分15中。儿童座椅存在/方位检测器40可以确定儿童座椅12的存在、方位和类型。还可以检测是否关于乘客座椅14准确地设置了儿童座椅的位置。
压力传感器42记录压力分布,该压力分布可以与所储存的当前儿童座椅类型的压力分布相比较,以便于以独立的方式识别儿童座椅类型。
儿童座椅12的后部通过安全带16紧固到乘客座椅14上,安全带16通过安全带带扣18固定。安全带带扣18包括安全带带扣传感器50,该传感器50将关于安全带带扣状态的二进制信息提供给电子控制单元20。安全带的张力由安全带张力传感器测量。如果电子控制单元20检测到安全带16未系好或者松了,则警告装置22可以产生警告信号。
温度传感器60测量车内的温度,如果高温或低温对车内的婴儿或儿童构成危险,那么该温度传感器60可以发出警告。
因此,本发明的该实施方式可以处理几种误用情形,诸如CRS类型/方位安装不相容、儿童座椅位置移位或者转动、安全带未系好、安全带的张力太小、CRS规格/儿童重量不适当、背带位置错误等。如果婴儿或者儿童被留在封闭的或者活顶篷汽车中以及温度在危险的范围内,那么所述安全系统会发出警告信号。

Claims (9)

1、一种车辆安全系统,包括:
第一获取单元,其用于获取关于放在车辆座椅上的儿童座椅的第一信息;
第二获取单元,其用于获取关于所述儿童座椅的第二信息,所述第一获取单元和所述第二获取单元的类型不同;
控制器,其适于单独地评估所述第一信息和所述第二信息,以及组合评估所述第一信息和所述第二信息,以检测所述儿童座椅的误用以及产生表示所述误用的误用信号。
2、根据权利要求1所述的车辆安全系统,其特征在于,所述第一获取单元选自:儿童座椅存在/方位检测器、压力传感器、儿童座椅存在/方位检测器与压力传感器的组合,而所述第二获取单元包括安全带带扣传感器和/或安全带张力传感器。
3、根据权利要求1所述的车辆安全系统,其特征在于,所述第一获取单元包括成像系统,而所述第二获取单元选自:儿童座椅存在/方位检测器、压力传感器、儿童座椅存在/方位检测器与压力传感器的组合、安全带带扣传感器、安全带张力传感器。
4、根据权利要求3所述的车辆安全系统,其特征在于,所述成像系统包括三维摄像机。
5、根据权利要求3所述的车辆安全系统,其特征在于,所述成像系统包括二维/三维组合摄像机。
6、根据上述权利要求中的任一权利要求所述的车辆安全系统,其特征在于,所述安全系统还包括至少一个附加获取单元,其选自:成像系统、儿童座椅存在/方位检测器、压力传感器、安全带带扣传感器、安全带张力传感器、温度传感器,所述控制器适于单独评估所述至少一个附加获取单元提供的信息,以及将该信息与所述第一和第二信息相组合进行评估。
7、根据上述权利要求中的任一权利要求所述的车辆安全系统,其特征在于,所述安全系统还包括警告装置,所述警告装置可以由所述控制器触发。
8、根据上述权利要求中的任一权利要求所述的车辆安全系统,其特征在于,一安全带卷收器与所述控制器相连,所述安全带卷收器被构造成基于所述误用信号来施加一定量级的安全带张力。
9、根据权利要求5所述的车辆安全系统,其特征在于,所述安全系统还包括温度传感器,并且一车窗升降器与所述控制器相连,所述车窗升降器被构造成对所述误用信号作出响应而打开车窗。
