Abstract

本发明的涂料,用于防止含石墨耐火材料在烘烤和使用中的氧化,技术特征是以长石为主,添加稀土氧化物氧化铈,以水玻璃为结合剂。涂料在高温作用下,在较低温度下开始产生釉层,在较高温度下釉层依然铺展性好,不剥离,不产生釉滴,制品氧化损失率小,防氧化性能优良。

Description

本发明涉及的是石墨耐火材料,特别是连续铸钢用含石墨耐火材料,如长水口、整体塞棒和浸入式水口的防氧化涂料。
众所周知,连续铸钢用含石墨耐火材料制品,具有良好的抗热震性和耐侵蚀性。但在高温烘烤和使用中,因制品中的石墨发生氧化,导致制品耐侵蚀性能和使用寿命降低,有时还会导致制品穿孔或断裂,造成溢钢事故。
在已知文献中,日特开昭59-174587、昭58-4178公开了含石墨耐火材料的防氧化涂料。日特开昭58-02236公开了在硅酸盐玻璃中加入稀土氧化物可提高玻璃的耐腐蚀性和降低熔点。
本发明的目的在于制造一种生产成本低、配料简单,在高温下能与含石墨耐火材料制品亲和的防氧化涂料。
本发明的要点是:以长石为主,配入氧化铈作为涂料的粘度调节剂,以水玻璃作为结合剂制造涂料。
将100份(重量)长石和7-10份(重量)氧化铈及40-80份(重量)水玻璃,共同混合研磨,制成涂料,可采用喷涂、浸渍或手工涂刷到含石墨耐火材料表面,涂层厚0.5毫米左右,经80-120℃干燥2-4小时后即可使用。
长石是制造涂料的主体,本发明使用的长石为市售陶瓷工业用的钾钠长石类长石。长石中氧化钾和氧化钠总含量大于10%。长石粒度为小于0.088毫米。长石含有大量的碱金属和碱土金属氧化物,在较低温度下即能熔融,生成硅酸盐玻璃。
在本发明中,加入的工业纯氧化铈,其含量为98%,粒度小于0.088毫米。配料中加一定量的氧化铈,可以改善涂料在高温下形成釉层的铺展性,而不产生釉滴,从而起到很好的防氧化作用。
在本发明中,加入水玻璃可以使涂料能很好地粘附在含石墨耐火材料制品表面,干燥后可生成一层光亮的保护硬壳,水玻璃的模数为2.2-2.4。
本发明的涂料,在室温条件下,其粘度为270-320厘泊。
本发明涂料,主要用于连续铸钢用含石墨耐火材料制品。如长水口、整体塞棒和浸入式水口。上述制品石墨含量为15-35%。
本发明的涂料,在600℃以下形成硬壳,700℃后产生釉层,直到1200℃釉层仍然完好。釉层光亮,铺展性好,不产生釉滴,氧化损失率小,防氧化性能优良。
实施例:
涂料配比
100份(重量)    长石
7份(重量)氧化铈    (工业纯)
45份(重量)水玻璃    比重1.3~1.4
将上述物料共同混合研磨,制成涂料。用喷涂器具或浸渍或手工涂刷于连续铸钢用含石墨耐火材料制品表面,在80-120℃下干燥2-4小时即可使用。
在大气气氛下,加热处理涂有涂料的试样。试样含有30%的石墨,涂层厚0.3-0.5毫米,加热温度为1000℃和1200℃,处理时间为3小时,试样的氧化损失如下:
1000℃×3小时,氧化损失率0.45%
1200℃×3小时,氧化损失率0.68%

Claims (3)

1、一种以长石为主成份的防氧化涂料,其特征是:在组份中加入了稀土氧化物氧化铈,并以水玻璃作为结合剂。
2、根据权利要求1所述的防氧化涂料,其特征是:100份(重量)长石,7~10份(重量)氧化铈,40~80份(重量)水玻璃混合配制而成。
3、根据权利要求1所述的防氧化涂料,其特征是:可用于喷涂、浸渍、涂刷等施工方法。
