这种穿孔的金属结构(后面称之为微筛)特别是用于区分和筛出几微米大小的物体。一种这类的被称为“细胞托架”的微筛,于1983年11月16日在EP-94193中公开。它的公开内容这里引作参考,可以区分生物细胞的大小。细胞托架的制备是使用一种改良的照像化学腐蚀制造技术,就是那种用于制造电子显微镜栅极的。细胞托架只有几微米厚,有许多靠近的小孔。即使十分小心,细胞托架的极为脆弱的特性也使得它难以操作,例如,把它插到上述专利所公开的支架中去,而不使它损伤,这种损伤的形式通常是结构挠曲或变形,这就使它报废。
激光焊接是一种已知的用来选择地焊接热塑材料各邻近的表面。关于这方面可参见美国专利第3,974,016;4,029,535;4,069,080;4,224,096;4,461,947号的公开内容。
本发明的目的是提供把金属微筛固装在可熔的支撑物上的方法。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种激光手段把金属微筛固装在可熔的支撑物上。
本发明的种种目的是用把金属微筛固装在支撑件中达到的,这个方法包括:
a)把金属微筛插入框形支撑件的槽中,至少槽的上部边缘的一部分是用可熔材料制成,槽的高度大于微筛的厚度;
b)把激光束引向槽的上部边缘上的一点,使接触激光束的可熔材料熔化;
c)使激光所熔化的可熔材料流下槽壁,接触微筛的边缘;
d)使激光所熔化的可熔材料接触着微筛的边缘在此固化而形成保持件,把微筛固装在支撑件上。(也可在本步骤后把容纳微筛的支撑件重新放在不同的位置上)
使用上述方法,可以把非常脆弱的金属微筛牢固地装在它的支撑件中而不破坏微筛的平面布局,也不会使微筛受到任何显著干扰或甚至破坏其功用的损伤。
图1(a)和1(b)分别为微筛的轴测图和侧视图,用大比例画出并将某些细节夸大以便清楚表示的微筛的代表部份,该微筛可按本发明固装在支撑件上;
图2(a),(b)和(c)都是侧视图,都用大比例画出并在某些部分夸大,显示按照本发明的把微筛固装在支撑件上的方法和装置以及所获得的受支撑的微筛。
如图1(a)和1(b)所示的是现有微筛的典型部分1,这种微筛是用作生物细胞托架,有许多靠近布置的孔2,这些孔2沿着X轴和Y轴排成矩阵。这种布置使它可以明显地决定任何一个孔在托架平面中X和Y轴的座标位置。孔的数目按要载的生物细胞的数目来定。例如,每行每列是100孔时,将有10,000个孔,可载10,000个细胞。微筛1可以是圆形,方形,矩形等等,微筛可以用适当的材料制造,例如,铜,金,镍,银等或合金。孔2的形状要能让予定大小的生物细胞被所用的措施有效地持于微筛,该措施如托架上下两侧的压力差,或电磁力。首先从其他组细胞中分离出特定的一组细胞,微筛1被选择具有不同尺寸的孔,使得例如筛血时,含有各种细胞的被选细胞置于微筛上时,大部分的孔被所希望的那组细胞所占,每个孔容纳一个细胞。这样,孔能被做成一定尺寸来容纳例如淋巴细胞,它有两种主要的尺寸,一种是7微米的,一种是10-15微米的,前一种尺寸的细胞是特定所需的。为了俘获和保持小尺寸的淋巴细胞于微筛1的上表面或面1t,孔2的断面直径大约是6微米。这样,所需的淋巴细胞就能容易地进入孔中,但它一进入孔后就不能从微筛的底部1b穿出来了。
微筛1的各尺寸都要求很小,孔2的宽度和深度都只有几个微米。因此,微筛在用传统的工具/设备来装入并固定于它的相配支撑物中时特别容易损坏。
本发明用图2(a),(b)和(c)所示的侧视图来显示本方法的不同步骤。
在图2(a)中所示,微筛10被插入框形支撑件30的槽20中,件30整体用热塑材料制成如聚乙烯,聚丙烯,聚苯乙烯,聚碳酸酯,聚丙烯酸酯等。槽20由带有台肩50和侧壁60的中心孔40组成。微筛10的宽度或高度小于壁60的高度。在图2(b)中,激光束被导向支撑件30的壁60的上部边缘70,使得该支撑件的一部分熔化而由重力作用流下到微筛10的周缘80,形成凸筋状的保持件90,当冷却到该聚合物的固化温度时,它就把微筛10固装在支撑件30上如图2(c)所示。
虽然支撑件30能用可被激光束熔化的材料整体制成,当然,在本发明的范围内也可将部分可熔性材料涂在支撑件30上。
同样属于本发明范围内的是可以连续地旋转激光束,或者最好是连续转动支撑件,以获得熔化材料的连续的筋流在微筛的上部周缘而形成相应的连续的保持件。在本发明的这个实施例中能采用两个或多个彼此等距分布的激光束射向槽60的上部边缘70。当用多个激光束时,这些激光束或者是支撑件能被顺次地沿着上部边缘70旋转到不同的地点以造成多个等距的单个保持件。
在本发明的优先实施例中,微筛10通过操作装置被插入支撑件30的槽20中,该操作装置使用真空来吸住一个微筛10,直至进入该槽的上方位置,在此断去真空而让微筛慢慢地落进其位置中。
Claims (20)
1、一种把金属微筛固装于支撑件的方法特征为它包括:
a)把金属微筛插入框形支撑件的槽中,至少槽的上部边缘的一部分用可熔化的材料制成,而槽壁高度比微筛的厚度大;
b)把激光束射向槽的上部边缘的一点以熔化和激光束接触的可熔材料;
c)让被激光熔化了可熔材料淌下槽壁而接触筛;
d)让被激光熔化了的可熔材料接触到微筛的边缘在该处固化形成保持件,该保持件把微筛固装在支撑件上。
2、如权利要求1中的方法,其特征为使用单个激光束。
3、如权利要求2中的方法,其特征为在步骤d中,支撑物被连续地转动,把槽的边缘的新的部分暴露在激光束下以形成可熔其材料的连续的筋,该筋固化成相应的连续的微筛保持件。
4、如权利要求2中的方法,其特征为在步骤d中,激光束被沿着槽的上部边缘顺次地转到不同的地点,以造成多个等距的单个保持件。
5、如权利要求2中的方法,其特征为在步骤d中,支撑件被沿着槽的上部边缘顺次地转动到不同的地点,以造成多个等距的单个保持件。
6、如权利要求1中的方法,其特征为至少采用两个激光束沿着支撑件的槽的边缘来同时熔化不同的地点。
7、如权利要求6中的方法,其特征为支撑件被连续地转动着使槽的边缘的新的部分暴露在激光束下而形成可熔材料的连续筋,它固化成相应的连续的微筛保持件。
8、如权利要求6中的方法,其特征为在步骤d中,激光束都被沿着槽的上部边缘顺次地转到不同的地点,以造成多个等距的单个保持件。
9、如权利要求6中的方法,其特征为在步骤d中,支撑件被沿着槽的上部边缘顺次地转到不同的地点,以造成多个等距的单个保持件。
10、如权利要求1中的方法,其特征为金属微筛通过真空操作作的定位装置被插入槽中。
11、如权利要求1中的方法,其特征为支撑件中的槽的上部边缘的一部分或全部是用可熔材料制成,支撑件的其余部份是用在本方法的条件下不熔的材料制成。
12、如权利要求11中的方法,其特征为该可熔材料是一种热塑材料。
13、如权利要求12中的方法,其特征为该热塑材料是聚乙烯,聚乙烯,聚苯乙烯,聚碳酸酯或聚丙烯酸酯。
14、如权利要求1中的方法,其特征为该支撑件整体用可熔材料制成。
15、如权利要求14中的方法,其特征为该可熔材料为热塑材料。
16、如权利要求15中的方法,其特征为该热塑材料是聚乙烯,聚丙烯,聚苯乙烯,聚碳酸酯或聚丙烯酸酯。
