Abstract
Se proporcionan plantas de maíz que exhiben resistencia de amplio espectro frente a Exserohilum turcicum, junto con métodos para producir, identificar o seleccionar plantas o germoplasma con un fenotipo de resistencia frente a Exserohilum turcicum. Tales plantas incluyen plantas de maíz dulce como así también plantas de maíz dentado agronómicamente de elite que comprenden regiones genómicas introgresadas que confieren resistencia a enfermedades. Además se proporcionan composiciones, que incluyen novedosos marcadores polimórficos y métodos para producir, reproducir, identificar y seleccionar plantas o germoplasma con un fenotipo de resistencia a enfermedades.
