Abstract
Un aparato para la cría de ganado incluye uno o más corrales de confinamiento junto con callejones para el traslado de los animales de un lugar a otro. El aparato incluye una o más cámaras para obtener imágenes de todos los animales en el área de confinamiento. Se proporciona un procesador para analizar las imágenes, el procesador estando dispuesto para asignar una identificación arbitraria para cada animal y para dar seguimiento todos los animales continuamente para mantener la asignación. A partir de este seguimiento se pueden obtener diversos datos relacionados con los animales individuales o con los animales como grupo para evaluar sus características y proporcionar una indicación al trabajador del animal que debe extraerse. El procesador puede estar dispuesto para detectar, mediante el análisis de la imagen, una cantidad de alimento y/o agua en un comedero y para obtener imágenes del corral de partos, incluyendo el área de confinamiento de las cerdas y al menos un área de confinamiento de los lechones.
