Método y sistema para operar un motor de compresión con un combustible que contiene éter, que comprende presurizar el combustible primario que contiene alcohol a una presión final de inyección en el motor, distribuir el combustible dentro de tubos que conectan la cámara con los inyectores, introducirlo en un reactor de deshidratación catalítica, deshidratar el combustible primario al combustible que contiene éter e inyectarlo en el motor, y retirar, despresurizar y reciclar el combustible primario.
