Device for preheating the feed water in steam engine systems with intermediate steam extraction. The invention relates to a device for preheating the feed water in steam engine systems with intermediate steam extraction and consists in the fact that the feed water supplied to the steam boiler is brought to the temperature of the intermediate steam in a cleaner with the aid of the intermediate steam removed from the steam engine, for the purpose of that contained in the feed water To precipitate impurities from the same if possible.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
a is a steam boiler, b is the high-pressure cylinder, c the low-pressure cylinder of a two-stage steam engine, d is the steam line leading from the steam boiler to the high-pressure cylinder and e is the intermediate receiver that transfers the steam from the high-pressure cylinder to the low-pressure cylinder. f is the feed water purifier with the feed water supply line g, the sludge collector h and the sehlamm @ drain i. The feed water is pumped from the feed- -v,% cup cleaner into the boiler with the help of the pump k and the line l .
While the feed water has so far been cleaned in such a way that the exhaust steam taken from the machine was passed through the water contained in the cleaner, according to the present invention, the cleaning takes place in that intermediate steam taken from the intermediate receiver passes through the feed water is fed through to the point of consumption. The intermediate steam is introduced through the line m and the nozzle n into the feed water contained in the cleaner, from there it rises in bubbles into the steam space of the cleaner and then flows through the line o to the point of consumption.
The feed water contained in the cleaner is brought to the temperature of the latter with condensation of part of the intermediate steam, with a far greater part of its impurities being precipitated than was possible with the previous method. The impurities collect as sludge in the sludge collector h, from where they are drained from time to time through the drain i connected to it. The foam that forms on the feed water is removed by the foaming device consisting of the funnel p, the line q and the closing element r by temporarily opening the closing element r.
In order to make the cleaning as complete as possible, depending on the quality of the feed water, one or more partition walls with a filter insert can be built into the cleaner f, through which any impurities still suspended in the feed water are held back. Instead of directing the entire amount of intermediate steam withdrawn through the cleaner, only part of it can of course be used for cleaning the feed water.
The feedwater purifier can also be provided with an automatic control device which, on the one hand, by influencing the feedwater inflow, keeps the water level in the purifier within certain limits and, on the other hand, allows the sludge to flow out of the purifier by periodically opening and closing the sludge outlet, if necessary also the peeling device perio actuated.
