Machine rotative.
La fig. 1 est une coupe verticale trans versale à l'arbre d'une première forme d'exé cution; La fig. 2 en est une coupe verticale axiale; La fig. 3 en est une coupe horizontale axiale; La fig. 4 est une vue de détail du rotor et de l'anneau mobile avec les palettes en position de fonctionnement; La fig. 5 est une coupe de l'anneau mon trant le rotor et les palettes vus de côté; La fig. 6 est une coupe de détail d'une variante montrant l'anneau mobile guidé dans un palier à rouleaux;
Rotary machine. The present invention relates to a rotary machine which can serve as a pump or as a motor.
This machine comprises a casing with a cylindrical inner wall, a rotating shaft eccentric with respect to this casing and a rotor mounted on this shaft and provided with several pallets arranged to engage with a movable ring, fitting inside the shaft. the envelope and which is arranged to be able to rotate therein, with these pallets, without moving sideways, in order to eliminate the wear of the pallets at their free edge.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, several embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a transverse vertical section through the shaft of a first embodiment; Fig. 2 is an axial vertical section thereof; Fig. 3 is an axial horizontal section; Fig. 4 is a detailed view of the rotor and of the movable ring with the vanes in the operating position; Fig. 5 is a section through the ring showing the rotor and the vanes seen from the side; Fig. 6 is a detailed sectional view of a variant showing the movable ring guided in a roller bearing;
Fig. 7 is a side elevation, partially in section, of another form of exercise; .
Fig. .8 is a plan, -with partial section, thereof; Fig. 9 is a front view, with partial section of this embodiment.
In the various figures, the same reference numbers designate the same parts. The first embodiment is supposed to function as a pump, that of FIGS. 7 to 9 will serve as a motor.
The envelope 10 of the embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 5 comprises an annular ring 12, with a cylindrical inner wall, integral with the base 11, and two circular cheeks or bases <B> 13 </B> bolted thereto. In each of the two funds 18 are formed an inlet opening 14 and an outlet opening 15 communicating respectively with the inlet 16 and outlet 17 pipes to which pipes must be connected which are not indicated in the figures.
In funds 13 are; still made, in an eccentric location, the openings 18 through which the rotary shaft 19 of the machine passes, extending outside the casing and rotating in bearings 20, the supports 21 of which are bolted to the casing , as seen in 22 (fig. 2).
On the shaft 19 is wedged a cylindrical rotor 23 which is cut at its periphery at 24; in the cutouts or recesses 24 of this rotor are mounted on a pivot four pallets 25. The length of the pallets 25 is greater than the maximum distance between the pivots of the pallets and the internal cylindrical wall of the ring 12; the outer wall of the vanes is curved or convex, so as to complete the peripheral surface of the rotor in the retracted position of the vanes.
Between the pallets 25 and the: crown 12 is interposed a movable ring 27 fitting inside the latter, able to rotate with the pallets and which is intended, by rotating with them, to. remove any seizing between the pallets and the crown 12, which would cause wear to the free edge of the pallets, as well as to the. inner wall of this crown. The ring 27 is prevented from moving laterally by the fact that it engages with the internal walls of the funds 13.
On the shaft 19 is fixed a pulley 28, which can also be replaced by a toothed wheel and with the aid of which the shaft is controlled by any transmission or motor. The rotor 23 rotates in the. direction indicated by the arrow in fig. 1; it sucks, for example, water through the inlet openings 14 and discharges it through the outlet openings 15. In FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, there is shown two suction openings and two discharge openings, but we can, if we want. adopt only one instead of two.
Obviously the vanes 25 cause the ring 27 in their rotational movement with the rotor, which avoids any excessive friction and any wear of the vanes at their free edge and of the internal surface of the crown 12.
If deemed useful, the movable ring 27 may be fitted with a peripheral collar 29 (fig. G) which engages the rollers of a roller bearing 30, the rollers of which are journaled in a flange. the crown of]. 'in vellum and in a ring 32 which holds the rollers in place. This construction ensures a smoother rotation of the ring 27 and a subsequent decrease in friction.
Turning now to fig. 7, 8 and 9, which represent a machine to function as a motor, a single inlet opening 33 has been adopted for the motor fluid and a single outlet opening 34.
The other arrangements are similar to those of the previous construction, except that the internal faces of the vanes 25 are hollow bent, at 34 ', so that the working fluid entering through 33 collides against these internal bent faces and forces the rotor to turn in the direction of. arrow bringing with it the shaft 19 -which can transmit its driving force to a transmission or machine whatever shell.
The shaft 19 is provided with a clutch and release coupling 35.
27 is again the movable ring fits inside the crown 12 of the casing and rotates with the vanes 25 in the rotational movement of the rotor.
