1, on a supposé que les bouts d'arbre<I>f, g</I> étaient dissemblables.
I>f</I></B>, g' (fig. 3).
Rotary pump with volumetric variations. The invention relates to a rotary pump with volumetric variations, comprising an outer cylinder and at least two internal drums eccentric with respect to it and tangent to its internal surface, said drums and cylinder rotating at the same time around their respective axes. fixed, and each of the drums and the cylinder forming between them a pump chamber that a pallet carried by said cylinder separates into two cells of increasing and decreasing volume respectively, characterized by a passage channel for the drilled fluid, through a fixed shaft , eccentrically with respect to the main axis around which the outer cylinder rotates,
the bearings of the internal drums being concentric with said channel and having a small diameter, all with the aim of reducing the overall size, in diameter. of the pump.
The outer cylinder will journal, by its end flanges, around shaft ends aligned with the main axis of the machine. These shaft ends can be dissimilar (asymmetric arrangement); that located on the discharge side (or respectively. of the suction) being of large diameter, while the other can be provided full and of small diameter to serve only as a point of attachment to the crankcase and as a journal for the outer cylinder.
These shaft ends can, on the contrary, be provided symmetrical, both drilled and of large diameter, one of the channels serving for the discharge (or respectively for the suction) and the other can be closed by plug or receive any safety device (by-pass, etc.).
In both of the embodiments provided above, as well as in any other intermediary, the centered shaft ends may be in one piece with the eccentric middle part of the shaft or be reported on this middle part by fitting, keying, mortising or other means. The appended drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of a two-cell pump with an unsymmetrical shaft; Fig. 2 is a cross section taken along the line 2 to 2 of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view of a pump with a symmetrical shaft.
The casing is made up of two parts a, b with parting line (assumed vertical in the example shown), one of the parts carries the suction (or respectively delivery) pipe c. A. the central part of the machine, keyed in relation to the housing, is located a fixed shaft d whose bore e serves as a delivery channel (or respectively aspiration) without the addition of any sealing member (press- tow or other).
The channel d is eccentric with respect to the longitudinal axis xx of the machine, while the shaft ends <I> f, g </I> are aligned along the axis xx and are used for fixing to the housing (for keying).
The outer cylinder h has end flanges <I> h ', </I> h "rotating respectively around the shaft ends f, g and, consequently, centered with respect to the longitudinal axis xx of the machine.
In its middle part, the shaft d serves as bearings for the internal drums i, i '(with the interposition, where appropriate, of rings reducing friction), said drums thus rotating around the y-y axis of the channel e.
The drums i, i 'receive their rotational movement from the cylinder h, by means of pallets k, k' rigidly and radially fixed (fig. 2) in the cylinder h (by fitting on three sides for example) , and sliding through the drums <I> i, i '</I> by passages made in said drums, and provided with two half-ball joints l which allow the various relative positions of the drums i, i' with respect to the cylinder h.
The pump comprising ra cells delivering in parallel (for the regularity of the torque), the 7th vanes k will be angularly offset with respect to each other by
EMI0002.0023
(ie 180 in the case of two pump cells envisioned in the drawing).
The separating partition or partitions do not of the cylinder h limit and separate from each other the spaces o (or pump chamber), in the form of crescents, formed for each pump cell, between the cylinder and the envisaged drum.
In the example shown, it was assumed that, this partition <B> in </B> not extending up to the shaft d, communication could be established from one pump cell to the neighboring cell , inside the drums i, i '.
Lights t are drilled in the wall of the shaft <I> d </I> between the bearings of the drums <I> i, i ', </I> constantly putting the internal capacity of the drums in communication with the discharge (or suction respectively).
An orifice u drilled in each drum <I> i </I> establishes, on the other hand, the communication of the internal capacity of the drum with one of the faces of the pallet k, while the other face is put in communication with the suction (or respectively the discharge) by an orifice u drilled in the cylinder h.
On the cylinder h is fixed a ring gear q meshing with a drive pinion r and a stuffing box b 'ensures the sealing of the enclosure s between cylinder and housing, in which the ring gear and toothed pinion are immersed, said enclosure communicating directly with the suction (or respectively the discharge).
In the example of FIG. 1, it was assumed that the tree ends <I> f, g </I> were dissimilar. As normally only the end of the shaft g is used for the passage of the fluid, it has only been provided with a sufficiently large diameter to, on the one hand, keep the same section of passage to the channel e which extends through it and in order, on the other hand, to catch up with the eccentricity of this channel. The other end of the shaft f was designed to be solid and of small diameter to serve only as an attachment point (by keying) to the casing and as a journal for the flange h 'of the outer cylinder h.
In the example of FIG. 3, on the contrary, or has shown a symmetrical arrangement of the shaft, the two shaft ends f, g being similarly drilled and, therefore, of large diameter. One g is used for the delivery (and respectively for suction) of the fluid, while the other f can be closed by a plug or receive any appropriate safety device.
In either case, the shaft end (s) which are of large diameter lend themselves to the immediate increase in the section of the channel e by using the available location to directly conform to it various cones such as that <B> <I> f </I> </B>, g '(fig. 3).
The two cases represented respectively in fig. 1 and 3 are very different, but it is obvious that we can conceive of all intermediate embodiments as the respective proportion of the shaft ends, length, etc.
In all cases, the shaft ends f, g countered can be in one piece (fig. 1) with the central eccentric part of the shaft (the one which serves as bearings for the internal drums i, i 'or be attached (fig. 3) at the end of this middle part, the assembly being carried out by fitting, keying, mortar- ing or other means.
The operation of the pump of the invention is easy to understand: If we consider the fury of the pump cells and if we assume that the rotors (centered outer cylinder lt, on the one hand, and eccentric inner drums <I> i, i ', </I> on the other hand), turn in the direction of arrow z (fig. 2), the suction is done behind the pallet k on the face k1 through the orifice < I> v, </I> so that the <I> k </I> palette sucks continuously from its departure from the tangency generator (line? V) until its return to this same generator.
In the following turn, the pump chamber (crescent-shaped space) between the cylinder and the drum having been filled with the fluid sucked in the previous turn, this fluid is discharged through the orifice ac constantly moving in front of the vane k ( face k2), and it passes inside the drums <I> i, i '</I> hence, through the lights <I> t </I> of the tree <I> d, </ I> it finally enters the channel e of this tree to be driven back. It can be seen that for each pump cell, there is constantly suction on one side Ai of the vane and discharge on the other side k2 without ever changing the direction of operation of the fluid.
In the case of a two-cell pump, the flow rates overlap due to the offset of the vanes; so that the total flow is almost absolutely regular and the resistive force has a practically constant magnitude; the increase in the number of cells naturally leads to an improvement in regularity.
It is obvious that by reversing the direction of rotation of the pump, the liquid will flow in the opposite direction, sucked at the end of the hollow shaft and discharged through the orifice c of the housing. Likewise, by reversing the respective arrangements of the suction ports v and discharge ports on either side of the pallet k (fig. 2), that is to say by drilling the port u behind the pallet and no longer in front (if we consider the direction of rotation z) and in the same way by locating the orifice v in front of the pallet and no longer behind it.
The operation of the pump remains the same, but the part of volume in the shape of a crossant which expelled its fluid inside the pump will then expel it towards the exterior, hence reversing the direction of circulation of the fluid. .
Finally, any detailed modifications may be made to the pumps described depending, in particular, on the nature of the liquid conveyed, the mode of actuation and the characteristics of the pump itself.
