Description
Process for the production of heat insulating bodies. The subject of the invention is a process for the production of heat-insulating bodies, characterized in that wood flour and paper flour are mixed and combined to form a solid mass.
The use of finely ground softwood and finely ground printed waste paper has proven to be particularly advantageous. Softwood has fine fibers and waste paper contains oil, which factors in the insulating effect are beneficial. Softwood also binds well.
The mixture of wood flour and paper flour can be a binder, such as. B. carbon acid soda are added, whereupon the mass obtained in this way can be pressed in a press into plates or other bodies to be produced; the mass is expediently exposed to high pressures. After removing the bodies thus created from the press, they can advantageously be subjected to sharp drying in an artificial way at about 120 heat by maintaining a lively hot air circulation in the drying room concerned.
