Vegetable slicer.- The subject of the invention is a C-vegetable slicer with a slicer knife lying on an elongated board. According to the invention, the part of the board carrying the planer knife is adjustable across the plane of the same, for the purpose of being able to chop vegetables into chips of different thicknesses.
In the drawing, an execution example of the subject invention is provided.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the same, and Fig. 1-) is a longitudinal section.
An elongated board 3 provided with a handle 2 is firmly inserted between two parallel wooden strips 1 on the upper part of the same. The same is cut at its lower end obliquely to the longitudinal direction. Subsequent to the board 3, the strips 1 are each provided on the back with a cutout 4, in which a cross-sectioned square rod 5 is inserted removable.
The same can be kept in the cutouts 4 with the help of sash fasteners 6 and is provided on one side with protruding, small knife blades 7 which run in the same direction as the longitudinal direction of the wood 1. The cutting edge 8 of the IlIesse-r blades 7 is bent on the side of the handle 2 and downwards. If the knife blades 7 are not to be used, the rod 5, after being removed from the cutouts 4, is rotated so that the knife blades 7 protrude downward, as indicated in FIG. 2 by dashed lines.
Between the wooden strips 1 is on the un tern part of the same, that is, below the rod 5, with space between the same, a continuation of the board 3 bil Dendes board 3 'inserted transversely to its plane movable Lich. The board 3 'is obliquely cut parallel to the rod 5 at the top end and carries the also inclined planer knife 9. In the board 3' engage in the inclined position of the planer knife to each other offset pins 10, so that the board 3 around a to the cutting edge of the Planer knife's parallel axis can be swiveled within small limits.
The mobility of the board 3 'transversely to its plane allows the planer knife 9 to be adjusted more or less over the upper surface of the board 3, over wel che when using the vegetable slicer, the cut is pushed. As a result, more or less thick chips are formed. Are the A knife blades 7 in use position, the material to be cut, for. B. potatoes, cut into thin sticks who the. The knife blades 7 are of course only used when a certain thickness of the cuts is to be achieved.
With the help of the two wooden strips 1 and the board 3 'over its entire width, namely the latter with play, penetrating wing nut screw 11, the board 3' with the planer knife 9 in the desired position by tightening _ the Screw 11 is clamped between the wooden strips.
The vegetable slicer described and shown allows the cutting of the Ge must, both in slices, as in sticks, in different thicknesses.
