Machine with pistons of plain and angular cross-section rolling in a housing. The invention relates to a Ma machine with rolling in a housing with the piston of non-circular and angular cross-section.
In the Z'ig. 1-11 several exemplary embodiments of the subject invention are shown.
In your exemplary embodiment FIGS. 1 and 2, the cross section of the piston a is a two-cornered shape formed from two circular arcs. The outline of the housing b is a triangle with rounded corners, c, d and e are those through the 'piston a and the housing b formed mutually sealed workspaces. The piston u moves clockwise.
The working space e has reached its largest volume, and the outflow of the propellant begins through the recess f of the piston a and the exhaust opening g that is released. In the working space d, the flow is terminated by the recess k of the piston a has slid all the way over the exhaust port h, and the grain pression of the propellant begins.
The compression continues until point 1 of piston a touches the housing wall; then the compressed propellant flows out of the working space d, which has now become very small, into the now larger working space c, in which the fresh propellant has already flowed in at opening g. The volume of the working space c is increasing and there is an inflow. The propellant enters the housing at? Ra, passes through the inflow opening n into the recess o of the piston a and from there into the working chamber c.
The inflow continues until the recess o of the piston a has slid over the inflow opening n . The propellant expands in the working space c until it has reached its largest volume. The outflow now begins in that the 'working space c' communicates with the exhaust port i through the recess 7c of the piston a. Even before the recess o has slid over the inflow opening n, the recess p of the piston has also come into contact with the inflow opening n; and the flow into the working space begins d.
When a piston revolves, three, equal to six, force pulses take place twice.
The drive from the piston a to the shaft v takes place through the gears x and zu, which represent an epicyclic gear. Here at the internal gear x moves around the pinion tv. The revolutions of the shaft v are a multiple of the piston revolutions.
As a result of the changing distance between the piston center point and the shaft center point when running the machine, no correct Zahnein reached when using normal gears by engaging the teeth once more and then less deeply. The disadvantages caused by this are malfunctions due to gear breakage and high noise from the running gears. In order to eliminate these deficiencies, either the internal gear is made out of round, namely the rounding depends on the number of piston corners, or normal round wheels are used and the pinion seated on the shaft is eccentrically applied to the shaft.
In this case, however, the number of teeth on the two wheels must be in a certain ratio to one another.
In Fig. 3, the piston a is drawn in the dead point position. The working space e has reached its largest volume. The rotation of the piston takes place in the direction of the arrow when the propellant is admitted into the working space c. Only after the piston has reached the position shown in FIG. 4, the outflow for the working space e is opened. If the outflow from the working space e were opened earlier, the piston a would be forced off the housing wall at u by the propellant flowing in c, by rotating the piston around point t and pushing it upwards, i.e. being clamped between the corners.
By pushing the piston, there will be a strong pressure drop in space c or an approximate pressure equalization in both spaces c and d, whereby the torque produced in c will be so low that it will affect the piston, which also has the two corners is pressed firmly against the housing wall, can no longer move. Even if there is no overflow of the drive medium from c to d, the piston does not move because the torque produced in c will always be too low to overcome the friction resistances arising at the corners of the piston.
For this reason it is necessary to open the outflow at e only after the piston has reached the position shown in FIG. 4, that is to say the working space e has already reduced its volume again. This rotation of the piston is caused by the pressure acting in e, through which the pivot point of the piston is simultaneously moved to zc.
In Fig. 5 of the drawing the invention is shown in a further embodiment is.
The shaft v is coupled to the piston a through the joint r. The end of the shaft lies in the bearing housing q, which is attached to the cover r.
6, 7 and 8, a machine is shown in which the piston is designed only as a control member for the outflow of the drive means. The inflow of the drive medium is influenced by a special control slide that is moved by the drive shaft. This allows the drive shaft to be shifted on both sides of the piston and, on the other hand, the duration of the inflow by changing or installing another control slide, which is relatively much cheaper than a piston, without changing or removing the piston can be easily increased or decreased in size.
The piston a rotates respectively. rolls in cylinder b. The shaft v, which is designed as an eccentric, is driven by the piston with double the number of revolutions and in the opposite sense; how the piston movement is driven. Slide y is attached to one end of the shaft, driven by the shaft and housed in a valve housing. By means of the slide y, control channels 1, 2 and 3 are released at the appropriate moment, so that the drive fluid enters the corresponding working spaces 4 , 5 and 6 can occur ..
The outlet of the propellant occurs through the exhaust openings 7, 8 and 9, which communicate with one another through the two recesses 10 and 11 in the piston a with the working spaces 4, 5 and 6.
9, 10 and 11: a Ma machine is shown in which the drive shaft is designed as a crankshaft, wherein the crank pin is displaced in the piston a. In addition, the drive shaft is designed so that the piston is completely or partially supported on the drive shaft at or near dead center and that a radial displacement can also take place between the drive shaft and piston, for example by providing a correspondingly designed bearing, which means Sufficiently large sliding surfaces created and also a jamming of the piston between the drive shaft and Ge housing wall is avoided.
The center of the piston a performs a movement in the opposite direction to that of the piston when the piston rolls over in the cylinder v, and this movement is twice as fast as the corners of the piston. The movement of the piston center point does not take place in a circular line, but the distance of the piston in the center point from the housing center point changes constantly.
In Fig. 10 the piston is drawn in one of the dead center positions. It is assumed that there is an inflow in the working space c and the outflow of the propellant has already occurred in the working spaces e and d. Due to the pressure prevailing in e, the two corners t and t 'of the piston are pressed firmly against the housing wall. The piston tries to turn around point t. The large amount of friction occurring at point t does not permit movement of point t, and the torque produced in c is not sufficient to cause the piston to rotate.
So that the piston can now rotate, however, the arrangement is such that the piston can be supported on the crankshaft in or near the dead center positions. This shifts the point of rotation from t to 12, the friction at t is eliminated and the piston can rotate. If the piston is beyond the dead center position, it is no longer necessary to support the piston on the drive shaft. Uni to prevent the piston from jamming between the drive shaft and the housing, the drive shaft, which is designed as a crankshaft, is shifted in the bearing 13 housed in the piston so that the crank pin can move radially in the bearing, but cannot rotate.
The bearing 13 rotates in the piston a.
It is readily understandable that the machine can be used not only as a prime mover, but also as a working machine both for compressing and for moving gaseous and liquid bodies.
