Trolley pour prise aérienne de courant électrique. La présente invention a pour objet un trolley pour prise aérienne de courant électrique pour la traction électrique en géné ral et en particulier pour les tramways élec triques sans rails marchant sur les routes ordinaires, caractérisé par un support en matière isolante en forme de<B>H</B> dans chaque bras vertical duquel sont insérées sur les côtés opposés deux gaines tubulaires isolées entre elles à l'intérieur desquelles sont montés, susceptibles de glisser axialement en sens opposés, les moyens de support de deux paires de galets destinés à s'engager, sous l'action de moyens élastiques, avec les deux fils de la ligne;
Une forme d'exécution dudit trolley est montrée, à titre d'exemple, dans le dessin annexé dans lequel la fig. 1 représente l'en semble du trolley en coupe verticale longi tudinale; la fig.2 représente le même ensemble en élévation latérale ou de profil au mondent du passage sur l'un des supports des fils de ligne; la fig. 3 en est une vue en plan par tiellement en coupe; la fig. 4 représente le trolley suspendu à une ligne disposée horizon talement; la fig. 5 montre l'équipement de la ligne se rapportant à un support avec le trolley pendant son passage sur ledit support;
Trolley for overhead power supply. The object of the present invention is a trolley for an overhead electric current socket for electric traction in general and in particular for electric trams without rails walking on ordinary roads, characterized by a support made of insulating material in the shape of a <B> H </B> in each vertical arm of which are inserted on the opposite sides two tubular sheaths insulated from each other inside which are mounted, capable of sliding axially in opposite directions, the means of support of two pairs of rollers intended for s 'engage, under the action of elastic means, with the two threads of the line;
the opposite rollers of one of these pairs of rollers are supported by pressure from the outside against the two wires of the line, while the opposite rollers of the other pair are supported by pressure from the inside against the two wires of the line; the rollers resting on opposite sides of the same line wire are electrically connected to each other and to one of the two wires of the flexible cable intended to bring current to the vehicle.
One embodiment of said trolley is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing in which FIG. 1 shows the whole of the trolley in a longitudinal vertical section; FIG. 2 represents the same assembly in side elevation or in profile in the world of the passage on one of the supports of the line wires; fig. 3 is a plan view partially in section; fig. 4 shows the trolley suspended from a line arranged horizontally; fig. 5 shows the equipment of the line relating to a support with the trolley during its passage on said support;
fig. 6 shows the arrangement of the line and of the trolley in the case where the trolley is intended to advance at relatively high speeds.
The device comprises the support 0 in insulating material, forming a <B> H. </B> In each vertical arm of the support 0 are inserted, on each opposite side, the two pairs of tubular sheaths 1, 1 and 1 ', 1 ', the two sheaths of each pair being isolated from each other. Inside the two sheaths of each pair are mounted, axially sliding, the tubes 2, 2 and 2 ', 2' provided at their end with pivots 3, 3 and 3 ', 3' respectively, which come out freely. through guide slots 5, 5 'of the ducts 1, 1' and serve to support the grooved rollers 4, 4 and 4 ', 4'.
The sides of the rollers, instead of being straight, as usual, are substantially concave ((5. 2) in order to aid in the retention of the line wires. .By means of a coil spring 6 bearing against a washer 7, integral with a rod 8 fixed to the bottom of the corresponding sheath 1, and reacting against P <nneau 9 fixed to the base of each tube 2, these tubes "are recalled inside their sheath 1 so that the rollers 4 by the tension of the springs, are pressed inside against the two line wires 10.
On the other hand, by means of a spring 6 'bearing on a fixed washer 7', disposed at the bottom of the sheath 1 'and reacting against another washer 8' placed at the bottom of the corresponding tube 2 ', these tubes 2'- are pushed towards the outside of their sheath, so that the rollers 4 'are supported by the tension of the springs from the inside against the two line wires 10. The sheaths 1 and 1' are closed at their ends by covers 11 and <B> Il '</B> so that the internal tubes and their spring which control them are protected from the external elements.
The rollers 4, 4 'which rest on the same line wire 10 are electrically connected by small cables 12, 12' fixed against the support 0 and whose ends are electrically connected to the corresponding sheaths 1, 1 ', or can lead to suitable brushes for collecting the current of the rollers, the brushes being fixed, for example, on the support pivot of these rollers.
The cables 12, 12 'are connected separately to the corresponding wires of the flexible cable 13 transmitting the current to the vehicle and serving at the same time to drag the trolley; this cable 13 is connected to the vehicle by means of a suspension di.tpositif, counterweight so as to automatically ensure its lengthening and shortening.
The trolley described above can move forward in a vertical position, as shown in fig. 1 and 2, on two line wires 10 arranged parallel and in a vertical plane so that this line does not differ substantially, with the exception of the supports to the posts, from a usual two-wire line for the transport of electrical energy and can be supported by a series of customary poles planted along the road or outside its edge.
Each line wire 10, near the support post 14 (fig. 5), is split into two slightly divergent branches 10 'which are fixed to the corresponding clamp 15 (fig. 2) connected in turn by a rod 15 'and after prior insertion of the insulation 16, through the support 17 of wood or other insulating material intended to be fixed using the solid bolts 18 to the post 14.
The above described trolley can also move well on a horizontally arranged line as shown in fig. 4, this provision may be necessary, for example for crossing inhabited places and in general in all cases where the application of supports is impossible at the edge of the road.
Thanks to the special conformation described above, the trolley, resting with its rollers at four distinct points, two internal and two external of the wires 10 of the line, is effectively supported in a perfectly balanced manner by the fact that the pressures exerted by the pair of rollers 4, 4 are constantly balanced by the pressures exerted in the opposite direction by the pair of rollers 4 ', 4'. In addition, contact with each line wire is effected efficiently because each line wire is engaged from opposite sides on a small portion by two rollers 4, 4 'clamped by pressure against this same wire.
Finally, since the rollers 4, 4 and 4 ', 4' of each pair are able to move by pressure in the opposite direction for a considerable amplitude, it follows that this trolley always fits exactly on the two wires. whatever the arrangement, even irregular or presenting obstacles, and whatever the distance between the two wires of the line. In particular, the passage of this trolley on the supports (fig. 2 and 6) is accomplished gradually without effort and without jerks being facilitated by the two slightly divergent threads 10 'relating to the supports. For these reasons and also thanks to the special shape described above of the groove of the rollers, the said trolley can absolutely not derail.
To prevent the fall of the trolley in the event of a possible breakage of the springs 6, 6 ', to the support pivot of each roller is connected a hook 19, 19 and 19', 19 '(fig. 2) which s' presses on the corresponding line wire as soon as the spring which controls the opposite roller ceases to exert its action.
To obviate that, during. rain, a short-circuit is established between the line wires following contact between the jets of water launched in the form of a fan by the rollers <the various polarity, in particular by the internal rollers 4 ', 4 ', the horizontal arm of the support 0 is provided with two longitudinal projections 20 of insulating material against which stop and break said water jets.
In general, the trolley is mounted on the overhead line as shown in fig. 2 so that the tensile force of the target 13 which drives it causes the wires of the line to rest against the shorter side of each roller, that is to say that adjacent to the edge of the roller having expressly a smaller diameter in order to ensure the passage of the trolley on the supports of the line. It is obvious, however, that, in order to achieve greater restraint safety even at high speeds, it is possible to reverse the assembly of the trolley on the line as shown in fig. 6 in which case the line son, under the traction of the cable 13 disposed on the opposite side, rest against the longer side of the groove of each roller.
The protective projections 20 must in this case be suitably divergent and elongated in order to prevent any kind of contact of the cable 13 with the rollers.
In the application shown in fig. 6 the fixing of the supports 15 of the line wires must also be reversed, which is achieved for example by fixing. these supports inside a bracket 21 then connected to the support cross member 17 fixed to the post 14.
