Les fig. 1 à 7 correspondent à une pre- inière forme d'exécution ; La fig. 1 est une coupe transversale sui vant A-A de la fig. 2 qui est une coupe longitudinale de la serrure dont les pièces sont dans la position d'arrêt; Les fig. 3 et 4 montrent la position des pièces après introduction de la clé représen tée en vue extérieure à la fig. 5 et en coupe transversale à la fig. 6; La fig. 7 est titre vue par dessus du tarir- bour fixe a, qui peut être recouvert d'une enveloppe b (fig. 1 et 2);
Safety device for locks. The subject of the invention is a safety device for locks, comprising, like other known safety devices, a rotary cylinder immobilized by stop elements which can be moved by a key free bridge the cylinder and allow its rotation, but the imagined device is characterized by the fact that the stop elements are constituted by small rods which, arranged on each side of the housing of the key, pass through the rotating cylinder, immobilizing it by penetrating under the action of springs, in two opposite regions in a fixed envelope,
and are each provided with a lateral projection actuated by the introduction of the key releasing the stop elements by bringing them back inside the rotary cylinder.
The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Figs. 1 to 7 correspond to a first embodiment; Fig. 1 is a cross section along A-A in FIG. 2 which is a longitudinal section of the lock whose parts are in the stop position; Figs. 3 and 4 show the position of the parts after insertion of the key shown in exterior view in FIG. 5 and in cross section in FIG. 6; Fig. 7 is a top view of the fixed dryer a, which can be covered with an envelope b (fig. 1 and 2);
Figs. 8 ît 14 s: have the corresponding figures of a second embodiment of which figs. 15 and 16 indicate a change.
In the first embodiment, the drum a supports the internal rotating cylinder c, crossed by housings giving passage to the small stop cylinders d. Bound from the ends of each of these cylinders d, under the action of a spring e, enters a housing f, of the fixed drum a, as this is seen in fig. 1. The other end g, of each of these cylinders is of smaller diameter, so as to leave bare the bridge support shoulder spring pressed on the other hand against the bottom of the housing crossed by a hole extending and) m, in the drum ci., and able to give passage to the end q.
b The key (fig. 5 and 6) of flat shape has its shank provided with longitudinal grooves i corresponding to the projections of its housing k, < / B> in the lock and which direct the introduction of this key which, on each of these side faces, carries a corrugated groove.
Each stop cylinder d is provided with a projection n, located at the desired height so that, after introduction to bottom of the key, the projections engaged in the splines are brought into a position such that the cylinders d, compressing the springs e, are completely inside the rotary cylinder c, as shown in fig. 4, and consequently free this cylinder, allowing it to be driven by a rotational movement given to the key to actuate the appendix o, itself actuating the bolts, bolts or other components closing.
In the second embodiment, the shank of the key (fig. 12 and 13), also flat, comprises, between two rectilinear wings, a wavy core h. When this key is inserted into the corresponding lock, the ends of the bevel-shaped wings push back the cylinders d, by acting on the parts of the projections j, perpendicular to the cylinders, then Corrugated paste h, is introduced between the two groups of curved projections, compressing the springs and in such a way that after complete insertion of the key, the stop cylinders are completely inside the rotating cylinder c, as shown in fig. 11, and consequently free this cylinder.
In these two embodiments, it is essential that the splines of the key in one case, and the corrugated core in the other case, correspond exactly to the projections, because if one of the stop elements undergoes a displacement too large, the end g in turn enters the fixed drum.
It will be noted that the very narrow keyhole represents a minimum of opening, because it suffices that it gives passage to the key rod.
As for fig. 15 and 16, they show a simple modification of the second embodiment. The stop is made by flat strips p, with springs q, each resting, on the one hand, against a projection of the strip, on the other hand, against a projection of a flat part also, r. Each part r and the corresponding strip p are housed in one of the grooves suitably arranged in the rotary cylinder.
