Schlusssignal, -die ordnungsgemäss been dete Ladung wird-deutlich angezeigt.
Self-charging device for two collector batteries with the same number of cells. In operations with collector batteries, it is generally necessary to keep a reserve battery to ensure continuity of operation. The present invention aims at such 'operations with two collector batteries of the same number of cells each time one battery is discharged to automatically switch the other on to operation and at the same time to close the charging circuit for the discharged battery that has been taken out of operation.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that two multi-pole electromagnetic changeover switches are switched on in the line system and connected to one another in such a way that both switches are switched over each time the battery is changed, with one switch exchanging the without interruption for operation discharged operating battery against the charged reserve battery, while the other switch turns on the charging current for the previous operating battery made available for immediate charging.
To explain the invention in more detail, a current scheme for - the- to achieve the inven tion purposes to be provided connection of the two 'electromagnetic changeover switch is shown in the accompanying drawing, for example.
After the representation of the drawing is. the battery Bi switched on. while the fully charged battery Bii is assumed to be in reserve. The operating voltage of the low-voltage system is monitored by the control relay R, which can have the device of an ordinary contact voltmeter, the winding of which is connected to the distribution bars for the electricity consumers via a gate switching resistor V W. .
The armature of this relay activates the contacts r1 or r2. The switching process is controlled by the electro-magnetic changeover switch Xi, Xii be, of which, according to the representation of the drawing, each three-pole with contacts. ai a, bi b ,, ei c respectively. di d, ei e, fi f . is trained.
If the operating voltage dependent on the battery Bi now drops to its minimum, it closes. the relay armature the contact r1. As a result, the switch coils 81 and 8a receive power from the battery .Bii, namely Si via the contacts d and b . And Ss via the contacts d and b and f. In addition, the alarm clock Wi sounds as long as the coils S,
and 9s are energized via the # aforementioned contacts from Bji. This bell signal thus makes the initiation of the charging process noticeable with a conspicuous, audible signal, and the silence of the bell after the brief stop is a sign that the self-charging device has been switched over correctly.
The Ümsclialtang can be easily monitored through signs with appropriate inscriptions, The. -SOhilders are connected to the core of the X-switches, so they move with them. and generate a specific signal image through their inscriptions in windows provided for this purpose.
The contact change takes place as a result of the excitation of the switch coils S1 k93 mentioned above. sfatt, so that the contact levers of both switches XI. and X "now assume the dotted position. The batteries are changed over, and the discharged battery BI begins to be charged via contacts cai, bi and d1.
If the charging of the battery BI is now over, this is activated by the contacts ei, bi and.di. -the battery to be charged BI switched control relay R its contact r2. There is a current connection from the battery BI via the contacts di, bi through the coil $ 2, the alarm clock W2 and via the contact r2. As a result of excitation of the coil. 82 is - the switch XI switched and returns from the dotted - to the fully drawn position. The charging of BI stops.
At the same time that 82 is switched on, the alarm clock W2 emits .. a short bell signal. The final signal, the properly completed charge is - clearly displayed. An actuation of the switch Xii does not take place at the end of the charge. The battery BI now remains charged as a reserve until BI is empty. When the voltage of the battery BU has fallen to its lowest permissible limit, the -contact r1 of the control relay R is closed.
The coil Si and the alarm clock 1'Y1 are thereby received from the battery BI via the contacts di. and- b and the coil; 9i via the contacts d1 b.- .f i current. Which he mentioned. Coils are energized and the alarm clock W; gives a short bell that lasts so long. than the coils 81 and 84 are leading via the aforementioned bi-directional contacts.
This bell signal to indicate the beginning of charging sounds every time the battery is changed.
The change of contact - takes place as a result of the excitation of the above-mentioned switch 'coils, so that the contacts of the switch XI take the dotted position, that of gu the fully drawn position. The change of the battery is completed, the charging of the discharged * battery Bii. Begins via the contacts a1 and bi and d.
If the charging of the battery Bü is now over, the control relay R connected to the charging battery BI by the contacts ei .bi and d actuates its contact r2. There is a current connection from the battery Brr, the contacts d, bi: through. the coil 82 the alarm clock Tf2 and via the contact, r2. As a result of the excitation of the coil S2, the scarf ter X, - switched and returns from the punk-oriented to the fully drawn position.
Brr's charge stops. At the same time that .S2 is switched on, the alarm clock gives W2 with a short. Bell sign the 'final signal, the properly. Completed charging is clearly displayed. The switch X ". does not take place when charging is completed; the switch contacts are now all in the fully drawn position, the initial position of the device is reached again: .
So that neither when changing the battery nor when charging is finished, the weak current system is not affected, it is assumed according to the illustration in the drawing that the contacts c, ei of the changeover switch XI and e, ei switch to XII without interruption, which is indicated on the drawing by this; that the relevant contact levers are shown connected with a longer arc of a circle, while the remaining contact levers of the changeover switch are connected with a short arc of a circle.
As shown in the drawing, the negative poles of both batteries BI, BI, are permanently connected directly to the negative pole of the low-power system. In the case of grounded low-voltage systems, this is only permissible - if the charging current comes from a grounded direct current network or from a rectifier system: In the case of an ungrounded high-voltage network, in a grounded low-voltage system, the two negative poles of the batteries would have to be connected via contacts in such a way that the respective battery to be charged can be charged can be carried out soil-free.
