Envideuse automatique.

Automatic feeder. The present invention relates to a device for winding bobbins, of the kind generally known under the name of automatic bobbin winder or winder, because the actuating mechanism of the net is automatically disengaged when the thread winding on the bobbin has reaches a certain diameter, characterized by means for pinching, when the winding is stopped, the thread between the bobbin and the unwinder in two, distinct places, to keep the end of the thread existing between these two pinched places taut,
to cut this taut end of wire and to keep the two cut ends of the wire pinched.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention adapted to the upright of the arm of a sewing machine (not shown).

also an ordinary device of thread tension jet uli rnil of guide cl (, thread The action of the discs i. is regulated by a lever 1- pivoted at the console h and pressing on one side, against the end of the plunger it here, on the other side, against arm a.
The thread .x passes over the tension device j, then between the discs i and, from there, down on the bobbin. The members f q f l f1 are arranged such that they are behind and in front of the path of the wire, respectively.
When the console n is in the operating position, as shown, the arm n acts on the lever Ir (such that it prevents the spring of the disks i from acting, so that said disks are kept away from the wire. that passes between them.
When the emptying is. automatically stopped by the extension (the lever (It passes in front of the upper part (the stop e and the spring n = rotating the console a on its pivot towards the ba -, moving it away from the wheel of the machine, the members / 'and g are quickly moved towards the wire and push it against the fixed members f1' l,

(the nor, calf returned to the active position, the lever li is automatically brought to release the elastic pressure on the discs i.
In order to keep the thread on the ferrule of the bobbin at the beginning. envi- ronment, and remove or separate the end of the bobbin. of the wire used for this purpose, we have foreseen the devices which will now be described. A key slot is made in the re edge of the bobbin. This slot is in (-lin @, e with respect to a ravori of the can towards the periphery of the latter, in the direction of rotation.
The edge r \ (the this slot is the cutting edge and, the edge c = joins by a convex curve with the periphery. The cutting edge can be suitably produced by forming the key slot by a sawing operation under a angle, as will be understood in si, referring to Fig. 5a On one part (bati al bed at the back of the bobbin is pivoted an arm I having at its front end a small clamp II.
Said arm 1 describes a trajectory in a plane situated on one side of the can. This movement is limited in each direction by fixed stops 1 =.
Between the ferrule of the arm 1 and the part por as its pivot. is arranged a small, coil spring F tending to maintain the arm 1 in the position shown in solid lines (Fig. 1).
When 1 idace env must be started. the thread is passed: under the bobbin, in the direction of rotation, that is to say, in the position shown, from back to front, then to the wrong.
atitotir of the ferrule (the bobbin, then towards the back and- finally in the clamp 11. The thread thus starts slightly on the edge of the re edge of the spool or bobbin, towards the rear. The bobbin starts to turn, the thread reaches the thread, which slides down into this slot.
The wire is then driven forward, and as it is held in the clamp 1 ', a pull is exerted on it and brings the arm 1 to. be turned upward despite the action (the sound comes out. As the slit and the part of the wire held in it continue to move forward, and 1c arm 1 is prevented (turn it far away by the front stop l '', the thread is momentarily tight and is cut immediately afterwards.
The key rear edge (the key slot being sharp, this sectioning occurs on this edge, thus separating the end (the wire which extends (the the click face edge of the net ca until beyond the clamp II. The arm 1 is then immediately returned to the rear by its spring. By the time the thread is thus cut, more than one complete turn of thread is on the bobbin. This gives sufficient grip of the thread. on the ferrule of the bobbin to allow the winding to be continued without slipping, especially as the thread itself tends to sink into the bottom (the slot c '.
In cases where it is necessary for the maximum amount of thread to be fed onto the spool or bobbin before the thread is cut at the start of winding, or where the thread is especially susceptible to being stretched. 1 can be rotated to rotate in a plane which slopes forwardly of the bobbin, instead of being perpendicular to the axis of the bobbin.
enviclage spindle. By this means, when the arm 1 is pulled upward, its gripper end approaches the bobbin, thus allowing the slot c 'to reach a position practically forward (the twist spindle before the tension (the cut is given to the wire.
Plate lr. ' and the console h2 are fixed (the adjustable manner, as indicated above by means of screws and in? mobilizat.ion grooves shown, and this adjustment facility allows the position of the discs z and organs f1 r / 'to be adjusted in relation.
to the trajectory chi bras a ", because the elastic grip periphery (the la, feeder pulley varies in diameter from time to time as a result (the wear or some other cause, and the organs ff / must cooperate efficiently at all times with the f1 r / 'organs.
As shown in fig. 5, a slit key is preferably provided in each flange of the spool or bobbin, so that in placing the spool or bobbin on the envi- ronment pin it is immaterial whether the outer flange is one or the other. 'other.
\ In the envider bench shown in fig.6. the base a 'is fixed as usual, and the stop r. the components P!, 1, the lever k, the disks (the plug i and the tension device j are all mounted on. a component m which is pivoted on the pivot. of the console a, and fixed in position by a 72.1 screw housed in a groove rn @ curved radially from (the axis of said pivot.
By these means, the pressure (the winding pulley on the drive belt can be adjusted. As well as the relative position (the grippers and the chopper are kept fixed. There are two guide eyes for the wire n ; the arm 1 is carried by a bracket m. 'extending laterally with respect to. the organ m. and the res out a2 is represented as a compression spring between the arm a' and a part (the l ' organ m and is housed in suitable recesses thereof.
