Description

  

  Appareil destiné à maintenir une composition     dans    une forme     d'imprimerie.       La présente invention se rapporte à un  appareil destiné â. maintenir une composi  tion dans une forme d'imprimerie.  



  Le dessin annexé en représente, à titre  d'exemple, une forme d'exécution.  



  La     fig.    1 montre en élévation une vue  de l'appareil en supposant une (les parties  enlevée;  La     fig.    2 en est une vue en plan,  La     fig.    3, une coupe suivant la ligne       A-D    de la     fig.    2, l'appareil étant en posi  tion d'action,  La     fig.    4, une coupe suivant la ligne       C-D,    l'appareil étant complètement res  serré;  La     fig.    5 montre plusieurs de ces appa  reils maintenant une composition dans une  forme d'imprimerie.  



  L'appareil     représenté    comporte deux  pièces c et     d,    maintenues parallèles entre  elles par deux goujons b placés aux extré  mités. Ces deux pièces c et     d    présentent à  leur partie inférieure un biseau suivant leur  longueur (le façon à constituer un logement  longitudinal de section en forme de trapèze,    clans lequel vient se placer une cale de ser  rage     e.    Dans cette cale se     vissent    deux vis  a dont les tètes sont noyées dans les loge  ments pratiqués clans les pièces c et d.

   Ces  vis a sont     commandées    au moyen d'une clé,  permettant, en engageant plus     ott    moins la  cale de     serrage    e entre les pièces<I>c et</I>     d.   <I>un</I>       écartement    progressif des deux parties supé  rieures c et     d,    ce qui a pour effet de main  tenir clans une forme     d'imprimerie    f, une  composition     ff,    constituée de caractères d'im  primerie     el;    (le clichés typographiques.

  The apparatus shown comprises two parts c and d, kept parallel to each other by two studs b placed at the ends. These two parts c and d have at their lower part a bevel along their length (so as to constitute a longitudinal housing of trapezoidal section, in which is placed a clamping wedge e. In this wedge are screwed two screws a whose heads are embedded in the housings provided in rooms c and d.

   These screws a are controlled by means of a wrench, allowing, by engaging more ott less the clamping wedge e between the parts <I> c and </I> d. <I> a </I> progressive spacing of the two upper parts c and d, which has the effect of keeping clans a form of printing f, a composition ff, consisting of primery characters el; (the typographical clichés.
