Description

Additional patent to main patent no. 86026. Process for the production of an azo dye particularly suitable for building wool printing. It has been found that by coupling diazotized 4-chloro-2-amino-1-oxybenzene-6-carboxylic acid with 1-oxyiiaphthalene-3-sulfo-6-carboxylic acid, an azo dye is obtained which turns purple in water , dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue-violet color and on cotton,

Printed using the chrome printing process, gives soap, chlorine and lightfast violet tones.

Example: The known way from 18.7 parts 4 -Chlor- 2 -amino- 1 -oxybenzene- 6 </ The diazo compound represented by the B> -carboxylic acid is added, with stirring, to a solution as concentrated as possible of 29 parts of the monosodium salt of 1-oxynaphthalene-3-stilfo-6-carboxylic acid, 40 parts of soda and 26 parts / B> Parts of sodium hydroxide solution a 30%. The crystalline precipitating dye is filtered cold,

       pressed and dried.
