Pneumatikreifenschutz.
Pneumatic tire protection. The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire protection for bicycle and automobile rudders. It has an elastic metal armor that covers the upper surface of the pneumatic jacket and is detachably connected to the pneumatic tire. The armor can be formed from sheet metal strips bent like hooks at both ends, which can either be hung individually in the edge of the wheel rim or held together by two wire rings attached to the rim and placed as a whole over the pneumatic tire. A second, intended as a coherent tank; Embodiment consists of a wire placed over the pneumatic tire.
In the former case organs can be arranged on the tank, which serve to strengthen the tread and as anti-skid.
In the drawing, three example embodiments of the subject invention are shown. Figs. 1 and 2 show two of them in view. 3 and 4 the associated elements in a perspective view; 5 is a top view of FIG. 1 with the representation of a slide protection, FIG. 6 is a section along the line I-7 of FIG. 5, which simultaneously shows a first type of fastening, for example. A second such is shown by the section taken along the line II-II of FIG. 2 in FIG. 7; 8 and 9, a non-slip protection serving as reinforcement is shown in plan view and section; 10, 11 and 12 show a third embodiment form in views and in section.
With a the rim, with b the tube and with c the jacket of a two-wheeled pneumatic tire. Strip of sheet steel are bent as shown in FIG. 3 and formed into hooks at their ends, with which they are placed across the jacket c, conveniently with partially vented hoses b, and lined up tightly together (FIGS. 1 and 5) on both sides in the edges of the Rim a. can be hung, as shown in FIG. 7.
According to FIG. 4, the sheet steel strips can consist of three parts, e, f, g, of which the former, e, has longitudinal slots la close to its ends, which can be slipped over buttons i of the hook-shaped bent pieces f and g and through later turning around. 90 form an element that is used like d ztt (FIGS. 2 and 7). Alternately according to different sides offset rivets n (Fig. 5 and 0) are intended to prevent sliding when driving ver. Also as anti-skid can on the sheet metal strip d, respectively. e riveted strips k (Fig. 8 and 9) are used.
In Fig. 6 are also l and l 'two wire tires, wel che fed can be inserted into the angle formed between rim a and man tel r, so that you can hang the sheet metal strips described in them and attach to the tire. In Fig. 10, 11 and 12, a third, the tire covering Pan is shown. It consists of a piece of wire in, which is formed by twisting back and forth as shown in FIG. 11 over two wire rings o and o 'to form a cohesive protective cover, which as springs of the whole ge slips over the pneumatic tire and can be loosely attached to it, provided that the distance between the rings o and ö is chosen so that these rings come to lie fully in the angle formed by a and c.
For the ailments of the first embodiment, it is advisable to use sheet metal strips made of spring steel by punching and pressing by means of dies.
The described and drawn embodiments of the subject invention are primarily intended to protect and therefore reduce wear and tear on the individual pneumatic parts by preventing direct contact of the rubber jacket with the track and possible injury from sharp-edged or pointed objects. Without adversely affecting the elasticity and adhesion of the tires, they make driving easier by narrowing the tread and, as a result of reduced friction, the heating of the tires and the generation of dust are reduced. In the event of a defect, the parts making up the armor can be replaced quickly and easily.
This applies nament Lich with respect to the embodiment according to Fig.?, 4 and. 7, which also has the advantage of being as elastic as possible and having a certain degree of flexibility.
