By little movable body members operable Schaltvor direct for brakes on motor vehicles. The invention relates to a switching device intended for brakes on motor vehicles, which can be operated by little movable body members. and in which the carrier has an impact surface, e.g. B. a foot lever is hinged at one end to a shift lever and carries part of a locking mechanism.
A significant disadvantage of the known embodiments of this type of situation so far is that they have a large number of individual parts that are usually unfavorably movable with respect to one another and that increase manufacturing costs and reduce operational reliability.
The invention seeks to eliminate this disadvantage. The subject of the invention is a switching device of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the support of the abutment surface is angular and its leg closest to the pivot point coincides at least -approximately with the direction adjacent to the C th lever arm, while the abutment surface and the part of the locking mechanism supporting other legs connects approximately at right angles.
As a result of this design, the butt plate can never give the same direction as the actual shift lever without effort. When pressure is applied to this, however, the abutting part of the body, so z. B. the foot, a relatively large torque on the angular support of the cleat.
Because the moment arm is at least approximately equal to the angle of the angular lever falling in the direction of the lever arm.
A stop or a Fiibrungsstiiclz can expediently be provided, which ensures that the angular lever can execute a very small selective pivoting movement with respect to the shift lever.
In the drawing, some Ausfüh approximately examples of the subject matter of the invention are illustrated, namely show in schematic, partially sectioned representation: Fig. 1 and? two foot levers for the brake. sen of motor vehicles, and Fig. 3 shows a foot brake, as it can be used especially for trams and mine locomotives.
A transmission rod C leading to the brake is articulated on the shorter arm d of a shift lever <I> A </I> which can be rotated about an axis B, on which a force v1 constantly acts, which tries to release the brake.
The free end of the longer arm of the lever <I> A </I> carries the axis of rotation <I> D </I> for an angled lever E ', <I> E \, </I> its in <I> The articulated arm E1 extends from there a little way towards the axis B, that is to say coincides with the direction of the adjacent shift lever arm. The other leg, E \, which adjoins the leg El approximately at right angles, has a series of teeth e 'and merges at its free end into a thrust plate E ″.
With the teeth e3, the leg E2 is usually supported against a locking plate G fixedly arranged on the carriage frame F. The way in which the angle lever El, E \ is held in this position and how it is able to move freely with respect to the main axis of rotation, can now be different.
In the first embodiment, the leg E 'carries an extension piece e ", in which a tension spring II hinged on the other hand to an extension a.- of the shift lever A is hung. This seeks to turn the leg E' outwards and thus engage with the locking plate G to hold.
The locking plate G is guided around the leg E 'with a gefi-issen clearance and serves with an edge portion g' of the back of this leg as a guide, as well as to limit the pivoting movement of the angle lever to a small extent.
In the second exemplary embodiment, the locking plate G is only located on the toothed side of the leg E ″. A guide roller i @ rests on the opposite side, the guide pin of which is under the action of a compression spring J supported on the spring housing K on the other side .
By exerting a slight downward pressure on the butt plate E ', the guide bolt together with the guide roller i' can be effortlessly pushed down so far that the detent leg E \ comes free from the locking plate G.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 corresponds essentially to that according to FIG. In contrast to the two earlier examples, the angle lever E ', E \ is here designed precisely at right angles and the tooth pitch e <I>' </I> of the leg E \, which is essentially vertically directed upwards, is on the side facing the heel . A small, practically involuntary forward movement of the foot pressing down or giving in upwards therefore easily disengages the leg E \ from the locking plate G.
This exemplary embodiment also shows that a spring is not exactly necessary to transfer the angle lever El, E2 from one position to the other. The horizontal leg El falling in the direction of the shift lever A could just as well be extended beyond its pivot point D and carry a weight L at the free end thus created.
All three embodiments show. that after releasing the lock, the foot on the shift lever A is able to exert a large torque, since as a moment arm at least approximately the great length is available that the lever arm A between the axis of rotation B and the apex e of the angle lever Ei, E ' having.
The operation of the switching device is easily understandable after the above and therefore does not require any special explanation.
The entire switching device, however, comprises the smallest conceivable number of mutually movable members and can therefore be installed with great ease, completely reliably and quickly, and replaced if one or the other part is damaged, without laborious fitting work having to be carried out.
