Nach Fig. 1 weist der Zentralheizungs- kessel den nach unten hin durch den Rost 1 abgegrenzten Feuerraum 2 auf, in welchem sich der feste Brennstoff befindet, und zwar bei normalem Brand in der Regel in der un tersten Schicht 3 als glühende Asche oder Schlacke, in der da.rüberliegenden Schicht 4 in brennendem oder glühendem Zustande, in der Schicht 5 in der Nähe der Schicht 4 in erhitztem, nach oben hin leicht erwärm tem Zustande, die Schichten nach und nach ineinander übergehend;
Wird dagegen die Klappe 12 mehr geöffnet, so entsteht ein stärkerer Luft zug auch durch den Hohlkörper 13, und es -wird das Gas-Luftgemisch ausserhalb des Hohlkörpers zur Verbrennung gelangen, sei es, dass es direkt nach Austritt aus dem Hohl- ;
Method and device for achieving an advantageous combustion of solid fuels in central heating boilers. When operating central heating boilers, a large percentage of solid fuels are lost, for example when unburned gases escape through the chimney after they have been gasified.
This evil was to be remedied by the present invention, with the aid of a shaft placed on the grate, air is passed from below through the grate and this shaft above the fuel, with the resulting air flow in said shaft through openings arranged in the wall Gases developed in the fuel are sucked in, carried away and mixed with the air in the shaft and this mixture is brought to combustion in the boiler.
An example embodiment of a device for exercising the process in central heating boilers is shown in the drawing, and it shows: Fig. 1 a device in a central heating boiler with a device arranged in it in a schematic representation, Fig. 2 shows a device, partly in longitudinal cut. and FIG. 3 shows a section along the line _A-A of FIG.
According to Fig. 1, the central heating boiler has the firebox 2, which is delimited towards the bottom by the grate 1 and in which the solid fuel is located, and in the case of a normal fire usually in the lower layer 3 as glowing ash or slag, in the overlying layer 4 in a burning or glowing state, in layer 5 in the vicinity of layer 4 in a heated state that is slightly warmed upwards, the layers gradually merging into one another;
6 is the filler opening closed by a cover, 7 the access to the ash frame 8 closed by a cover, 9 the closed air supply connected to the ash chamber 8, 10 the circulation chamber for the exhaust gases, by means of a regulatable cover in the vicinity of the grate on the side walls of the combustion chamber angeord designated, not shown passages with the combustion chamber 2 in connection, and 11 is the flap 12 is provided with an exhaust duct for the exhaust gases.
On the grate 1 of the advantageously cylindrical ausgebil finished hollow body 13 means in the Lap pen 15 (Fig. 2 and 3) screwed Bol zen 16 and wing nut 17 attached. The water is open at the bottom, completed by the cover 18 at the top. In the upper most part of the side wall Durchbohrun gene 19 are provided and in rows towards un th the openings 20 over which the tabs 21 protrude, this for the purpose of preventing solid fuel parts from falling into the hollow body.
When the centralized boiler is in operation, some of the air that gets under the grate enters the fuel. However, a wesent Licher part is torn through the hollow body 13. The air coming after layer 4 is used for the combustion process taking place there. Gases that are forming in the fuel are sucked in by the air pulling through the hollow body 13, whereby they mix with air in the hollow body.
When the flap 12 is closed, as shown in the drawing, only a weak draft is possible in the firebox; In the same way also through the hollow body 13; in this case, the gas-air mixture ignites and burns in the hollow body 13 in this itself.
If, on the other hand, the flap 12 is opened more, there is a stronger draft of air through the hollow body 13, and the gas-air mixture will come to combustion outside the hollow body, be it that it is directly after exiting the hollow;
Izörpeir above rles solid fuel for combustion. Arrived and ignited the other gases that have come into this room. be it that the glass mixture as a result of the draft of air reaches the burning or glowing fuel layer and burns there, whereby the gases that collect above the fuel are also carried away.
In any case, the hollow body achieves such an air supply above the solid fuel that in addition to the air required for combustion of the gases generated from the solid fuel in the hollow body or above the solid fuel, there is an excess of air and a draft arises of the excess. Air after the combustion point of the solid fuel is supplied from above, from where the withdrawal of the: gaseous combustion products through the space 10 and channel 11 takes place.
The arrangement in front of it prevents the accumulation and unused escape of flammable gases.
