Description

Method for the preparation of a device. The present process for the preparation of a tanning agent is based on first condensing napltol monosulfonic acid 2: 6 together with naphthylamine disulfonic acid 2: 6: 8 with formaldehyde in sufficient dilution in the presence of a little sulfuric acid at 60 to 70 ° C and then condensing the solution obtained, which contains the condensation product, which is a high-quality tanning agent, in a dissolved state, together with free sulfuric acid, neutralized, at least partially with a hydroxide of a metal, the salts of which have a self-tanning effect. As such metal hydroxides come into consideration: the hydroxide of the chronicle of aluminum, of iron etc.
The tanning agent obtained by the process in a strength of 24 to 28 Be is completely ready to use, in commercially available form and does not require any cleaning or other treatment. In addition to its very high tanning effect, it also asked for the property of giving leather tanned with it a yellow color, so that further coloring of the leather can either be omitted or only weakly colored to a desired color shade. The yellow color of the leather obtained during the tanning process also gives off a good basic tone in order to achieve a deep, rich black.
Example: 20 kg of beta-naphthol are sulfonated at 105 C with 30 kg of concentrated sulfuric acid of 66 Be. The sulfonic acid is dissolved in 100 liters of water, then 42 kg of 2: 6: 8 sodium naphthylamine disulfonic acid are added. 15 kg of 30% formaldehyde, which is diluted with 45 kg of water and then heated to 70 ° C., is allowed to run into the mixture at 70 ° C., while stirring.
After the condensation, after two hours at the earliest, 71 kg of alumina hydrate containing 7.758 kg of dry Al2 (OH) 6 are added and then 8 kg of 98% soda are gradually introduced. A tannin analysis according to the skin powder filter inet @ iodc yields the following additional factors:
