Abstract

The invention relates to a container (11) having a container body (13), a container neck (15) adjoining the container body, an external thread (25) formed on the container neck (15), and a closure cap (17) for closing one inside the container neck (15) provided pouring opening (27). A first shrink film (29) in the form of a tube is shrunk onto the closure cap (17) with a first area (33) and at least onto a container neck area (37) with a second area (35). The container neck area (37) adjoins the open edge (39) of the closure cap (17) screwed onto the container neck (15), whereby the first shrink film (29) is held on the container neck (15) and on the closure cap (17). The first area (33) and the second area (35) of the first shrink film (29, 31) are connected with a retaining strap (47).

Description

Field of invention

The invention relates to a container according to the preamble of claim 1 and a shrink film according to the preamble of claims 18 and 19 and also a set of a first and second shrink film according to claim 21.

State of the art

Closing caps are known from the prior art in the field of plastic closure caps with a guarantee ring, which are held captive on the container and close its pouring opening. The holding function is also important because statutory provisions are to be expected which oblige the closures of beverage bottles to be permanently connected to the beverage bottle even when they are open.

Such a captive closure cap for closing a container is known from DE 93 18 243 U1. After unscrewing the threaded part of the cap, it is held on the guarantee ring with a tether. The tether is integrated in the guarantee ring when the closure cap is closed. However, this solution of a captive closure cap assumes that the closure cap has a guarantee ring which remains on the bottle neck after it has been unscrewed.

Object of the invention

From the disadvantages of the described prior art, the object of creating a closure cap which is held captive after unscrewing on the container, even if the closure cap does not have a guarantee ring.

A further object is to be able to retrofit the function that the closure cap is held captive on the container after unscrewing in existing containers with a closure cap.

Another object is to show a captive closure cap which is not a hindrance to any use of the container to be closed.

The solution to the problem posed is achieved in a container having a closure cap through the features cited in the characterizing section of claim 1. Developments and / or advantageous design variants are the subject of the dependent claims.

The holding function of the closure cap on the container neck after the closure cap has been unscrewed from the container neck is therefore taken over by the first shrink film. Such a shrink film is also referred to as a “sleeve”. The shrink film is mostly tubular and printable. The printability of the shrink film means that it can also be used as a label.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the retaining band is formed from the first shrink film or the first area, the second area and the retaining band are formed in one piece. As a result, all parts that are required to hold the closure cap captive on the container neck are formed from a commercially available shrink film. It would also be conceivable that the retaining strap is attached to the first and second area, for example is glued on.

It has proven expedient if the retaining strap has a first end which is inextricably connected to the first region of the first shrink film and has a second end which is inextricably connected to the second region of the first shrink film. This ensures the holding function by which the unscrewed closure cap is held on the container neck.

Conveniently, the retaining strap is sufficiently long so that the closure cap when transferring from a closure position in which the closure cap is screwed onto the container neck, can be transferred into an open position in which the closure cap releases the pouring opening and with the retaining strap on the second Area of the first shrink film is held. As a result, the retaining strap does not interfere with unscrewing the closure cap. The holding strap can, for example, be so long that the user can hold the container body and the closure cap with one hand at the same time. As a result, the cap does not interfere with the use of the container. In particular, the closure cap does not protrude into the product flow when product is poured out.

In a further particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the retaining strap is formed in that the first shrink film at the transition from the first area to the second area has first perforations arranged next to one another and first webs in between, which perforations run around the container neck area in the circumferential direction, with unscrewing the closure cap of the container neck break the first webs and the retaining strap is detached from the first shrink film. In this embodiment, the retaining strap is therefore created automatically by rotating the closure cap in the opening direction. The length of the retaining strap can be determined by the number and length of the perforations and webs. In addition, the breakage of at least one web indicates that the closure cap has been rotated in the opening direction and is no longer originally closed.

More expediently, the sum of the length of the first perforations arranged next to one another and the length of the first webs has a length which corresponds to twice the length of the holding band. Since the retaining strap can be detached from the first shrink film, it must have first perforations and webs on its upper and lower longitudinal edge. The distances between the first perforations and the first webs are preferably the same along the circumferential direction of the container neck.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the distance between the first perforations lying one above the other corresponds to the width of the retaining strap. Most of the time, the distance along the retaining strap will be constant. However, it is also conceivable that the spacings between perforations lying one above the other varies. This makes it possible to make the retaining strap more stable at particularly stressed points, for example at the first or second end.

In a further particularly preferred embodiment, the first perforations are arranged in a spiral shape on the first shrink film and the retaining strap thus has the shape of a spiral in the open position, which is formed from the first shrink film. In most cases, the retaining strap must be longer than a single circumference of the container neck so that the retaining strap does not prevent the closure cap from being unscrewed. The spiral arrangement of the first perforations makes it possible to give the retaining strap any length. It is expedient to give the retaining strap an optimized length which best permits user-friendly operation of the container.

The invention is also preferably characterized in that the first shrink film has the function of an opening indicator, in that the first webs break when the closure cap is opened for the first time. As already stated above, at least one web breaks when the closure cap is only rotated slightly in the opening direction. A guarantee that the container will be sold unopened is therefore reliably given. The first shrink film therefore fulfills two tasks at the same time, on the one hand a holding function and on the other hand a display function.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the first shrink film is free of side by side perforations and intervening webs and the first and second areas of the first shrink film are only through the first and the second end of the retaining strap before opening the cap for the first time connected with each other. In this embodiment, the retaining strap is already formed on the first shrink film before it is opened for the first time and is not released from the first shrink film when it is twisted.

In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a second shrink film is arranged over the first shrink film, which is shrunk onto the closure cap with a third area and at least onto the container neck area with a fourth area. In this embodiment, the required tasks can be divided between the first and the second shrink film. The first shrink film fulfills the holding function of the unscrewed closure cap. The second shrink film holds and protects the first shrink film. In particular, it protects the retaining strap. In addition, the second shrink film serves as an indication of whether the container is originally closed or not.

It is preferred if the retaining strap has a first portion which extends from the first end in the axial direction along the container neck and has a second portion adjoining the first portion, which extends in the circumferential direction along the container neck region to the second end . This ensures a sufficient length of the retaining strap, which does not prevent the closure cap from being unscrewed. The second section can also be easily pulled out from under the second shrink film, since the second section lies in the area of the second perforations and is not or only slightly held by the second shrink film. A retaining strap arranged at an angle on the container neck is also conceivable. The less steep the holding strap is arranged between the first and the second area, the longer it is. It is useful to give the retaining strap a shape and length so that the container is user-friendly and at the same time the retaining strap can be manufactured with little bulk. It is preferably cut out of the first shrink film. However, it is also conceivable that it is fastened between the first and second area, for example, is glued with its first and second end.

As already stated above, it is useful if the second shrink film has the function of an opening indicator, in that the second shrink film has adjacent second perforations and intermediate second webs and the second webs break when the cap is opened for the first time. Such shrink films are known from the prior art and their display function is therefore fully developed. However, a combination with a first shrink film and the associated reliable solution to the problem is surprising.

It proves expedient if the second perforations are arranged in a circle on the second shrink film and after unscrewing the closure cap, the third area is separated from the fourth area by breaking the second webs. As a result, the closure cap is only held on the retaining strap after it has been unscrewed.

In a further preferred embodiment, the container body has a shoulder area and a jacket area adjoining the shoulder area and the fourth area of the second shrink film encloses at least the shoulder area and optionally the shoulder area and the jacket area. This allows the fourth area to reliably hold the second area. In addition, the fourth area can fulfill a label function.

So that the third webs already break when the tether is pulled slightly, it is preferred if the third perforations are provided on the second area in such a way that they adjoin the second end of the tether.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the first shrink film has a fifth area which is shrunk onto the container body and is arranged under the second shrink film at the lower end of the fourth region of the second shrink film on the container body, a securing band with a third end is inextricably connected to the second area and with a fourth end inextricably linked to the fifth area. The securing band enables the fourth area of the second shrink film to be torn open in a simplified manner along the entire height of the fourth area by pulling the retaining band away from the container body. Nevertheless, the closure cap is still held on the container body, since it is connected to the fifth area via the retaining strap and the securing strap. The fifth area is preferably designed as a ring.

It proves to be advantageous if the second end of the retaining strap and the third end of the securing strap are aligned with one another. As a result, the pull of the retaining strap is transferred directly to the safety strap. The securing band is preferably a linear extension of the retaining band.

It proves expedient if the second shrink film has fourth perforations and fourth webs in between, which extend from the upper edge to the lower edge of the fourth area, the securing tape being arranged under the fourth perforations. The fourth webs can be torn off in a targeted manner by the securing tape, since the securing tape is arranged directly under the fourth webs. The securing band is therefore preferably covered by the second shrink film or the fourth webs.

Because the securing band and the fourth perforations preferably extend in the axial direction of the container, the fourth webs can be broken particularly easily by pulling the securing band away from the container body. The torn fourth area detaches itself from the container body and can be disposed of separately therefrom.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, a support ring is formed on the container neck and the second area has at least one diameter which is smaller than the diameter of the support ring. As a result, the second area is not only held on the surface with a frictional fit but also with a form fit. Even if the second area should become detached from the container surface, it is held on this by the support ring.

A further aspect of the invention relates to a first shrink film in the form of a tube, the shrink film having first perforations arranged next to one another at the transition from the first region to the second region and first webs in between, which first perforations are arranged in a spiral in the circumferential direction on the shrink film and when the closure cap is unscrewed from the container neck, the first webs can break and a retaining strap in the form of a spiral can thereby be detached from the shrink film. The first embodiment of the first shrink film, already described above, can be shrunk onto containers and preferably onto bottles with a screwed-on closure cap. As a result, almost every container can be supplemented by the shrink film with a holding function, by means of which the unscrewed closure cap is held captive on the container neck.

Another aspect of the invention relates to a first shrink film in the form of a tube, wherein the shrink film is free of perforations and the first area and the second area of the shrink film are only connected to a first and a second end of a retaining strap. The second embodiment of the first shrink film, already described above, can also be shrunk onto containers and preferably onto bottles with a screwed-on closure cap and enables the closure cap to be held captive on the container neck after unscrewing. In this second embodiment, the retaining strap is already formed on the shrink film and is not released from the shrink film by twisting it after it has been shrunk onto the container.

In a further particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the retaining band is formed from the first shrink film or the first area, the second area and the retaining band are formed in one piece, the retaining band having a first section which extends from the first end in extends in the axial direction along the container neck and has a second section which adjoins the first section and which extends in the circumferential direction along the container neck region to the second end. Since the second section is arranged at the open edge of the third area of the second shrink film, the second section can easily be pulled out between the closure cap and the third area. As a result, unscrewing the closure cap is not hindered by the retaining strap. The longer the second section, the greater the distance between the container neck and the unscrewed closure cap.

Another aspect of the invention relates to a set of the first shrink film, which is free of perforations, and a second shrink film, which can be shrunk onto the closure cap with a third area and at least onto the container neck area with a fourth area, and the second shrink film side by side having arranged perforations and intervening webs, the second perforations being arranged in a circle on the second shrink film and after unscrewing the closure cap, the third area can be separated from the fourth area by breaking the second webs. The second shrink film can be shrunk onto the container and the closure cap via the first shrink film. The second shrink film fulfills the function of indicating whether or not the sealing cap has already been opened. In addition, it holds the first shrink film on the container neck and the closure cap and protects the first shrink film, in particular the retaining strap, from mechanical damage. The set can be shrunk onto almost any container or almost any bottle with a closure cap, whereby the closure cap is held captive on the container neck after it has been unscrewed. The retaining function of the unscrewed closure cap can therefore also be retrofitted in the second embodiment by providing the first shrink film in containers in which the envelope is provided with a second shrink film from the start. For example, because a label and / or an opening indicator is required on the container.

In FIGS. 1 to 7, a container is shown which is designated as a whole by the reference numeral 11. The container 11, in particular a bottle 11, comprises a container body 13, a container neck 15 adjoining the container body 13, and a closure cap 17. The container body 15 is partially shown in FIGS. 1 to 7. The closure cap 17 comprises a base 19 and a first cylindrical jacket 21 with an open edge 39. An internal thread 23 is formed on the inside of the jacket 21. The container neck 15 is designed as a second cylindrical jacket. An external thread 25, which cooperates with the internal thread 23, is formed on the container neck 15. In this way, the closure cap 17 can be screwed onto and unscrewed from the container neck 15. The closure cap 11 closes the pouring opening 27, which is provided inside the container neck 15.

The closure cap 17 is held captive on the container neck 15 in that the container has a specially designed first shrink film. In a first embodiment, the first shrink film is designated with the reference number 29 and in a second embodiment the first shrink film is designated with the reference number 31. In the context of this application, a shrink film is to be understood as a plastic film which shrinks under the action of heat and takes on the shape of the container body 13 and the closure cap 17 onto which it is shrunk. Such a shrink film is also referred to as a “sleeve”. The shrink film is mostly tubular and printable. The printability of the shrink film means that it can also be used as a label. For this purpose it is preferred if the corresponding shrink film surrounds the entire jacket of the container body.

In Figures 1 to 3, the first embodiment of the first shrink film 29 is shown. The first shrink film 29 has a first area 33 and a second area 35. The first area 33 is shrunk onto the closure cap 17 and the second area 35 is shrunk onto at least one container neck area 37. The container neck area 37 is located below the open edge 39 of the closure cap or below a support ring 41 formed on the container neck 15. As a result, the first area 33 is held on the closure cap 17 and the second area 35 is held on the container neck 15.

Between the first and second areas 33, 35, first adjacent perforations 43 are provided on the first shrink film 29 and are separated from one another by first webs 45. The first perforations 43 and thus also the first webs 45 run spirally in the circumferential direction on the first shrink film 29. As a result, a retaining band 47 is formed on the shrink film 29.

When the closure cap 17 is unscrewed, it is transferred from a closure position in which it is screwed onto the container neck 15 into an open position in which it releases the pouring opening 27. When the closure cap is unscrewed, the first webs 45 break, as a result of which the retaining band 47 is detached from the first shrink film 29. The retaining strap 47 has a first end 49, with which it is permanently held on the first area 33, and a second end 51, with which it is permanently held on the second area 35. As FIG. 3 shows, the retaining strap 47 assumes the shape of a spiral when all of the first webs 45 are broken and the closure cap 17 is in the open position. In the open position, the closure cap 17 is held captive with the first and second ends 49, 51 of the retaining strap 47 on the container neck 15 or the container body 13. The first area 33, the second area 35 and the retaining strap 47 are formed in one piece from the first shrink film 29.

The distance between the first perforations 43 lying one above the other corresponds to the width of the retaining strap 47. So that the retaining strap 47 can completely form from the first shrink film 29 when the cap 17 is opened, the sum of the length of the first perforations and the length of the first webs have a length which corresponds to twice the length of the retaining strap. The length and number of the first perforations 43 and first webs 45 is to be dimensioned such that the retaining strap 47 is sufficiently long so that the closure cap 17 can be removed from the container neck 15.

The first shrink film 29 also has the function of an opening indicator and can ensure the first opening guarantee. As soon as the closure cap is rotated in the opening direction, at least one of the first webs 45 breaks. The further the closure cap 17 is rotated in the opening direction, the more the first webs 45 break.

According to the second embodiment, a first shrink film 31 and a second shrink film 53 are shrunk onto the closure cap 17 and at least onto the container neck region 37.

The first shrink film 31 according to the second embodiment has no first perforations 43 and no first webs 45 before the closure cap 17 is opened for the first time, but only the first and second areas 33,35 and the retaining strap 47. In the second embodiment the first area 33 is preferably designed as a first ring and the second area 35 is preferably designed as a second ring. The retaining strap 47 is already in place before the closure cap 17 is opened for the first time and is not released from the first shrink film 31 when the closure cap 17 is rotated. The retaining strap 47 connects the first and second areas 33, 35 with its first and second ends 49, 51. In the second embodiment, the retaining strap 47 can have a first section 55 which extends from the first end 49 in the axial direction along the container neck 15. A second section 57 adjoining the first section 55 can extend in the circumferential direction along the container neck area 37 to the second end 51. As a result, the retaining strap 47 has a sufficient length so that it does not hinder the unscrewing of the closure cap 17. The second section 57 can be particularly easily pulled out between the closure cap 17 and the second shrink film 53 when the closure cap 17 is opened and therefore does not hinder the screwing off of the closure cap 17. The retaining strap 47 can also extend obliquely along the container neck 15. It is important that the retaining strap 47 does not hinder the unscrewing process by being too short and that the closure cap 17 is reliably held on the container neck 15 after unscrewing.

The second shrink film 53 is shrunk on over the first shrink film 31. The second shrink film 53 is shrunk with a third area 59 onto the closure cap 17 and with a fourth area 61 at least onto the container neck area 37.

The second shrink film 53 fulfills the task of indicating the opening. It therefore has second perforations 63 arranged next to one another and second webs 65 in between. The second webs 65 break when the closure cap 17 is opened for the first time. The second perforations 63 and second webs 65 preferably extend along a circular path. The second perforations 63 and the second webs 65 form the transition from the third area 59 to the fourth area 61.

The container body 13 has a shoulder area 67 and a jacket area 69 adjoining the shoulder area. The second area 35 preferably encloses not only the container neck area 37 but also the shoulder area 67. For adequate retention and to fulfill a label function, it is particularly preferred in the first embodiment if the second area 35 encloses the shoulder area 67 and the jacket area 69 .

In the second embodiment it is preferred if the fourth region 61 encloses the shoulder region 67 in addition to the container neck region 37. The area of the second area 35 can be kept smaller because this area is covered by the fourth area and held on the container body 13. In order to fulfill the label function in the second embodiment, it is preferred if the fourth area 61 covers the shoulder area 67 and the jacket area 69.

In order to require as little material as possible from the first shrink tubing film 29, 31, the second area 31 can be made as small as possible and only extend over the container neck area 37 or over the container neck area and the shoulder area 67. For a reliable retention of the second area 35 on the container neck 15, the second area 35 must have at least a diameter which is smaller than the diameter of the support ring 41.

The first shrink film 29, 31 has the advantage that the closure cap 17 is held on the container neck 15 without the closure cap or the container in general having to be provided for it. The holding function is completely taken over by the first shrink film 29, 31. In addition, the first shrink film 29 or the second shrink film 53 fulfills the task of an opening indicator, which indicates the intactness of the closed container or whether the closure cap 17 has already been rotated relative to the container neck in the opening direction.

A third embodiment is shown in FIGS. 8 to 10. In this embodiment, third perforations 71 and intermediate third webs 73 are provided on the second region 35. If the second area 35 is pulled with the aid of the retaining strap 47, the third webs 73 break. In order for the third webs 73 to break reliably, it is useful if the third webs and perforations adjoin the second end 51 of the retaining strap 47.

The first shrink film 31 has a fifth region 75 which is shrunk onto the container body 13. The fifth area is preferably designed as a third ring. The fifth region 75 is arranged below the second shrink film 53 at the lower end of the fourth region 61 of the second shrink film 53 on the container body 13. A securing band 77 is permanently connected to the second area 35 by a third end 79 and to the fifth area 75 by a fourth end 81 in a non-detachable manner. The second end 51 of the retaining strap 47 and the third end 79 of the securing strap 77 are expediently aligned with one another so that the securing strap 77 represents a linear extension of the retaining strap 47. As a result, after the third webs 73 have broken, the securing band 77 can also be pulled away from the container body 13 by pulling the retaining band 47 away.

The purpose of the securing band 77 is to separate the fourth area 63 of the second shrink film 53 from the container body. For this purpose, the second shrink film 53 has fourth perforations 83 and fourth webs 85 in between. The fourth perforations or webs extend from the upper edge to the lower edge of the fourth area 63, the securing band 77 preferably being arranged below the fourth webs 85. The fourth webs 85 therefore cover the securing band 77.

The mode of operation of the third embodiment is shown in FIG. After the closure cap 17 has been unscrewed, it is held on the container neck 15 by the retaining strap 47 according to the second embodiment. After the final use of the container, it can be advantageous, in particular because of recycling aspects, to separate the fourth area 61 from the container body 13. This can be done in a particularly simple manner by providing the securing band 77: By pulling the retaining band 47 away from the container body 13, the third webs 73 break. With further pulling, the securing band 77 also receives tension, whereby it is also pulled away from the container body 13. As a result of the pull of the securing band 77, the fourth webs 85 break and the fourth area 61 is torn open along its entire height and can be disposed of separately. The closure cap 17 is still held on the container body 13, since it is suspended from the retaining strap 47 and the securing strap 77.
