The present invention relates to a closure cap for a container, in particular for a tube, with a casing part and a cover part and with a mandrel which is arranged on the cover part in the interior of that part of the casing part which is provided with a thread for screwing the closure cap onto the container is.
Closure caps of this type are already known which are screwed onto the neck of a tube, which is also provided with a thread. To prevent. that the mandrel pierces the partition earlier than desired, which initially covers the outlet opening of the tube neck, there is a spacer ring between the tube body and the edge of the closure cap facing the tube body. The spacer ring surrounds the tube neck, and its inner diameter is selected so that the spacer ring can be moved unhindered along the tube neck. This spacer ring is usually placed on the tube neck by hand, namely before the closure cap is screwed onto the tube neck. The screw cap is usually also screwed on by hand.
If the tube user wants to open the tube, he must first unscrew the cap, remove the spacer ring, put the cap back on the tube neck and then screw it down on the tube neck against the tube body until the spike pierces the partition. The user then has to unscrew the cap again in order to be able to remove the contents from the tube.
This way in which a tube is closed or opened is, as can be seen, cumbersome, not only for the user of the same, but also for the manufacturer of such packaging. This is for the reason that two components are required to close a tube, which moreover can practically only be applied to the tube neck by hand. The work operations that can only be carried out by hand are known to cause certain difficulties, particularly in the series production of packaging.
Another tube closure cap of the type mentioned at the outset is also known, which should obviously eliminate the disadvantages mentioned above.
At the lower end of the casing part of this closure cap, a band-shaped spacer that can be torn off from the casing part along a perforated line of weakness is arranged.
The spacer extends almost along the entire order of the shell part. The two ends of the spacer are at a small distance from each other and a grip tab is attached to one end of the spacer.
The threaded neck of the tube is closed at the top by a partition. The spacer is in contact with the conical tube shoulder located between the neck and body of the tube. so that the cap cannot be screwed further down against the tube. In this position the tip of the mandrel lies over the partition.
To cut into the partition, the spacer is first separated from the casing part. To do this, the handle will lap the spacer along the line of weakness
Part of the jacket torn off. The closure cap is then screwed down. until the lower edge of the jacket part hits the shoulder of the tube. The tip of the spike first presses in the partition a little and then separates the partition from the tube neck. The tube is now ready for use.
However, such a closure cap cannot completely eliminate the disadvantages mentioned above. This is for the reason that the production costs of a closure cap with such a complicated design exceed the production costs of the closure cap and the spacer ring described first. In addition, the user still has to make two movements to open such a tube; first of all he has to tear away the spacer and only then can he screw down the closure cap until the partition is cut into the tube neck or separated from the tube neck. The sorting in the sorting drum for automatic screwing in the tube factories also causes great difficulties for the tube manufacturer.
It is the object of the present invention to provide a closure cap for a container, in particular for a tube, which allows the spacer ring to be removed with just a single actuation and to pierce the partition in the neck of the container, and which also connects with a can be produced with little effort.
This object is achieved by the closure cap according to the invention, which is characterized in that a shearable spacer ring is arranged on the lower edge of the casing part facing the container, and that the inner diameter of this spacer ring is greater than the diameter of the outer contour line of said lower edge of the mentioned Shell part.
Exemplary embodiments of the present invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It shows:
1 shows in longitudinal section one of the exemplary embodiments of the closure cap according to the invention together with the part of a tube that interacts with the closure cap,
FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the closure cap according to FIG. 1, which is only partially screwed onto the tube neck, and FIG
FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the closure cap according to FIG. 1 when the closure cap is completely screwed onto the tube neck.
The closure cap shown in the drawing has a casing part 1 which contains a cover part 2. The jacket part 1 extends downwards with respect to the cover part 2 and also slightly upwards and is provided on its outside with a corrugation 3 (FIGS. 2 and 3) running in the vertical direction. The section 4 of the casing part 1 lying below the cover part 2 is provided with a thread 5 on its inside. On the side of the cover part 2 facing the thread 5, an axially arranged mandrel 6 is attached. The mandrel 6 has a cylindrical body 61 which is connected to the cover part 2 via a conical foot section 62 serving as a sealing cone.
The other end of the mandrel body 61 is provided with a conical or pyramid-shaped tip 63, which can optionally also carry a pricking tip 64.
The closure cap is screwed onto the neck 7 of a tube 8 by means of the thread 5, of which only its conical shoulder 9 is shown in FIG. 1.
A spacer ring 11 adjoins the edge 10 facing the tube 3 and is connected to this edge 10 via webs 12.
Instead of the webs 12, the spacer ring 11 can also be connected to the lower edge 10 of the casing part 1 by means of a membrane (not shown). Like the webs 12, this membrane then represents a predetermined breaking point, but at the same time protects the space delimited by the ring 11, tube shoulder 9, tube neck 7 and edge 10 against the ingress of dust or other contamination. The membrane can advantageously be made of the same material as the other components of the closure cap.
The spacer ring 11 has an inside diameter which is larger than the diameter of the circle which touches the outwardly protruding parts of the corrugation 3 in the area of the lower edge 10. The difference between the size of the inner diameter of the spacer ring and the circle mentioned can be up to 1 mm, for example.
The lower edge part of the ring 11 has a bevel 13, the angle of inclination of which is practically the same as the angle of inclination of the shoulder 9 of the tube 8.
The outlet opening 14 provided in the tube neck 7 is initially covered by a partition 15 which is made of the same material as the other parts of the tube 8, for example aluminum.
If the user wants to open the tube 8 provided with this closure cap, he simply screws the closure cap, which is already partially screwed onto the tube neck 7, further downwards. Then the material of the webs 12 or
the membrane already described above, more and more stressed on clarification until they break off or break off.
From this moment on, the spacer ring no longer counteracts the further screwing down of the casing part 1, so that the tip of the mandrel 6 initially comes into contact with the partition 15, after which it pierces this partition 15 and exposes the outlet opening 14 in the tube neck 7.
The closure cap, which has now been freed from the spacer ring 11, can then be unscrewed again, the spacer ring 11 is thrown away, and the tube contents can be removed from the tube 8.
If the diameter of the base area of the mandrel 6 is chosen to be somewhat larger than the diameter of the outlet opening 14 in the tube neck 7, the mandrel 6 acts as a seal with a conical seat after the closure cap is screwed on again on the tube neck 7, which is now open, without a special sealing element in the Requiring cap.
