Description
The invention relates to a device for removing liquid material from a storage container according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such devices are used, for example, when it comes to fill the liquid material in small containers such as syringes or supply a processing device.
A device referred to in the preamble of claim 1 is known from EP-A1-1 331 072. The promotion of the material here is a scoop pump, which is arranged above a follower plate on a storage container. The scoop pump sucks the material to be conveyed, located in the storage container.
From DE-A1-10 2007 003 972 a device with follower plate and barrel pump is known which is suitable for the removal of highly viscous materials. The pump is not specified, but it can be seen from the drawing that it could be a screw conveyor.
If the liquid material to be conveyed is very highly viscous, there is a risk that the delivery stream will rupture on the suction side of the pump. The promotion is thus disturbed. This applies to the two aforementioned devices.
The invention has for its object to provide a device in which the tearing off of the flow does not occur.
The above object is achieved by the features of claim 1 according to the invention. Advantageous developments emerge from the dependent claims.
An embodiment of the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. Show it:
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> is a diagram of an arrangement with a follower plate and a pump,
<Tb> FIG. 2 <sep> a horizontal section through the pump and
<Tb> FIG. 3 <sep> a partially sectioned view of the pump.
In Fig. 1, 1 means a follower plate. The follower plate 1 has on its underside an indentation 2, in which a gear pump 3 is arranged. Shown is a driven by a shaft 4 first gear 5. A non-driven second gear is not visible in this illustration. In a housing 6 of the gear pump 3 extends a delivery line 7, at the outlet 8, the subsidized high-viscosity material can be removed. The housing 6 of the gear pump 3 according to the invention has an opening 9, so that the driven first gear 5 and the non-driven second gear are partially exposed.
If the follower plate 1 placed in a storage container on the surface of the material contained and further down, that fills the indentation 2 with the material contained, so are the two gears in direct contact with the material. Now, when the gear pump 3 is set in motion, it is impossible for the delivery flow to break off. The material is conveyed by means of the gears into the delivery line 7 into the outlet 8.
Thus, when inserting the follower plate 1 in the hopper and the indentation 2 can fill completely with the material to be conveyed, the housing 6 advantageously has a closable with a valve 10 vent hole 11.
2, a horizontal section through the gear pump 3 is shown. The sectional plane is in the height of the center of the horizontal part of the conveyor line 7. Visible here is the driven first gear 5 and here now also the non-driven second gear, which is provided with the reference numeral 12. The direction of rotation of the gears 5, 12 is marked with arrows. The gear 5 rotates counterclockwise, the gear 12 in a clockwise direction. Accordingly, the material to be conveyed is conveyed in a known manner into the delivery line 7.
In Fig. 3 is a partially sectioned view of the gear pump 3 is shown. The same reference numerals denote the same parts as in Figs. 1 and 2. Here it is visible that a considerable part of the peripheral surfaces of the gears 5, 12 are not enclosed by the housing 6, so that they have direct contact with the material to be conveyed. This is ruled out that the flow breaks.
The inventive device is advantageously applicable when it comes to promote material very high viscosity.
