<tb>3 .<sep>Herstellung reproduzierbarer Transferzeiten.

The invention relates to a method and apparatus for heating electrically conductive uncoated or coated metallic circuit boards, wherein the boards are heated by means of at least two electrical contact elements due to the flowing electric current. The blanks are optionally formed in subsequent manufacturing stages and / or heat treated for curing.
In today's process of hot forming or press hardening of uncoated or coated metal circuit boards, these are heated in an induction furnace or a gas-fired furnace and kept for a certain time at a certain temperature, then removed from the oven and by means of a mostly manual Zuführstation inserted "by hand" using pliers in the forming tool. The tool assumes the function of forming and hardening the material (tempering). The temperature range and holding time are generally recommended by the steel manufacturer. During the transfer time, the heated uncoated or coated metal circuit boards cool down. On the one hand, transfer times are currently too long due to the process.
In this case, the metallic circuit board cools to a value below the critical temperature proposed by the steel supplier, so that desired target properties can not be set. On the other hand, the transfer times are not reproducible. Individual personal transfers and the susceptibility of the systems during the transfer lead to different transfer times and thus to different cooling during the transfer. This results in different strengths in components of the same type, since the hardening or compensation should take place at fixed temperatures if possible.
In a direct heating, for example by means of induction furnace is a geometrieabhängig poor efficiency of 10-65%. In addition, temperature differences caused by the skin effect occur over the surface of the boards.
In an indirect heating by means of gas-fired stoves or electrically operated radiator efficiency is technically limited to about 40%. In particular, the poor transferability of the heat is disadvantageous here.
DE 4 126 175 A1 shows a heating device of two, for example, to be rolled endless workpieces, such as wire, rods, tubes, profiles or strips, arranged roller as contact elements. The heating takes place by means of current flow transversely to the material conveying direction via contact elements.
The known device is suitable for homogeneous endless workpieces, but not for workpieces with inhomogeneous mass distribution, such as blanks.
The invention has for its object to provide a method and apparatus for uniform heating of inhomogeneous, asymmetrical metal circuit boards. According to the invention, the stated object is achieved in a method of the type mentioned above in that distributed over the board a plurality of contact elements for large-scale uniform heating of the material is arranged. A device of the type mentioned above is to solve the problem by a plurality of different to be positioned on the sheet metal plate contact elements for heating the board.
The invention provides a plurality of contact elements, that is at least more than two contact elements. Preferably, the number of contact elements is four and more, these are preferably provided in pairs, so that the invention preferably includes more than one pair of contact elements.
The invention has the following advantages:
<tb> 1. <sep> Achieving high heating efficiency.
<tb> 2. <sep> Prevention or best possible reduction of cooling during the transfer.
<tb> 3. <sep> Production of reproducible transfer times.
In the inventive device as a heating station is carried out over a certain holding time, the crystallization of the metallic material. In a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the boards are held on both sides via contact elements having contact terminals, in particular, the boards are received under a certain pressure of the contact terminals. Accordingly, the device is preferably formed in that the contact elements are designed as contact terminals, which receive the uncoated or coated metal circuit boards on both sides, wherein in particular the contact terminals are closed with a certain pressure and further initially a part of the contact terminals movably mounted with respect to the base frame are.
In particular, the invention involves controlled heating of sheet metal blanks (thin-walled body) and holding them at the austenitizing temperature. The heat treatment takes place in the transfer. The board is held at the edge of the sheet. There is no relative movement between the board and the terminals during the transfer.
In this way, the device according to the invention for heating the workpieces is at the same time designed as a transfer device, via which the boards are fed to a forming station under the flow of current. In the apparatus, the uncoated or coated metallic board is heated to the temperature recommended by the steel manufacturer and kept at that temperature during the transfer to the hot forming tool so that the heated uncoated or coated metallic board does not undergo cooling in this way. The largely uniformly heated uncoated or coated metallic circuit board is inserted into the hot forming tool at the temperature prescribed by the steel manufacturer. This ensures that the board only minimally cools down until the tool is closed.
The forming takes place in the temperature range specified by the material manufacturer at a forming rate and at a minimum cooling rate, so that the material properties of the component are optimized.
The board to be heated is fed to the heating device manually or automatically. Several contact elements pick up the uncoated or coated metal circuit board at suitable locations - the circuit is thus closed. As a result of the internal resistance, the uncoated or coated metallic circuit board is uniformly heated to a certain temperature and / or kept at a certain temperature. High power density between pairs of contact elements ensures high efficiency. In order to be able to record different board shapes in one and the same heating station, it is advisable to make the contact elements displaceable.
Due to the formation of the contact elements as contact terminals, such as jaws, which receive the sheet under a certain pressure and so realize a two-sided recording, even sparking is avoided. In order to be able to control the pressure in a targeted manner, a pneumatic (possibly hydraulic) design of the closing mechanism of the contact elements is recommended.
Another advantage is the usability of direct current, whereby a skin effect can be excluded in induction heating. If necessary, the use of alternating current is possible.
In order to control the current flow targeted, the use of a power regulator in the circuit is recommended.
For measuring the temperature, it is useful to provide a temperature measuring device as in the form of temperature detectors.
Here, the use of an automated feedback between the temperature detector and power controller is recommended. The processed by a control signals of the temperature detector lead to a comparison to the temperature setpoint for increasing or decreasing the current flow. As sensors for temperature detection, for example, thermocouples or pyrometers can be used. For large-area temperature detection, the use of thermography (camera) is advantageous. For example, thyristors are recommended as power regulators.
According to the invention, the contact terminals are insulated from each other and designed for investment. To compensate for the material expansion a plurality of contact elements with respect to the base frame are movably mounted according to the expansion direction. In order to achieve an optimal current transition, it is advisable to carry out the contact elements made of a material adapted to the material to be heated or to coat them at least with such. This also has a positive influence on the life of the contacts. In order to achieve a homogeneous heating of the uncoated or coated molding board, it is advantageous to make a division of the circuit into a plurality of independent and independently controllable sections.
Thus, by means of different power supply in different subcircuits, any desired form of board can advantageously be heated homogeneously. Ideal, but not always necessary, would be an independent circuit for each pair of contact elements.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the board, including connected terminals with respect to the base frame as a type carriage or Greifarmeinrichtung method or moved. This is done appropriately manually or by motor.
To ensure reproducible heating, transfer and cooling a coupling of the controls of heating station and upstream or downstream stations makes sense.
To dissipate transmitted heat and to ensure constant temperature conditions, the onset of cooled contact elements is advantageous.
The contact terminals are thermally insulated from the guide elements, other machine elements and the base frame to prevent temperature influence on the function of the system, the personnel and machine environment.
To prevent scaling, edge decarburization or other microstructural changes, the use of inert gas may be necessary. This may suitably be partial, e.g. only at the contact terminals, or used extensively. In this case, for example, protective gas locks can be used. When using the protective gas according to the invention, the method and the device, no negative effects on the material are to be expected.
Fields of application of the invention are in particular:
- Warm or hot forming, in which the material is heated to a defined temperature and then formed. This is done appropriately, for example, in a press with a tempered forming tool.
- Material tempering / heat treatment, in which the material must first be heated to a certain temperature.
According to the invention, hot-working and, in addition, material hardening can be carried out by heating a non-coated board. The invention serves as a heating station and / or as a station for temperature maintenance and as a transfer station. A forming tool takes over after the heating, the forming and hardening of the material (hardening by quenching in the cooled mold), it is called press hardening. Before the electric heating device according to the invention, a further similar or different type of heating device may optionally be connected upstream, which takes over the heating and holding (for crystallization) of the sheets at a specific temperature.
In this case, the invention would constitute a board transfer device, which automatically removes boards from the upstream heating device, if necessary, and supplies them to the forming tool with the flow of current to prevent cooling. Thereby, a complete forming and heat treatment cycle can be performed, which proceeds with complete control of the board temperature. Disadvantages, such as the reproducibility of the transfer times or the cooling during the transfer, are minimized or excluded.
Advantageous solution examples of the inventive embodiment are illustrated and explained below with reference to drawings. Show it:
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> is a front view of a heating station according to the invention for uncoated or coated metallic circuit boards; and
<Tb> FIG. 2 <sep> is a plan view of a heating station according to the invention for uncoated or coated metallic circuit boards.
Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of an inventive heating device with a base frame 10 and a first guide frame 8 and a second guide frame 9, which are movable on rails 12 via corresponding wheels 11. These form a substructure of the device. Uncoated or coated boards 1 are received by contact terminals 2 in the heating device. The boards 1 are clamped between two contact elements 2. There is such a surface contact between terminals and board. The contact terminals 2 close pneumatically (hydraulically, if necessary) 3 via a corresponding device 4. This device 4 together with Schliesspneumatik 3 and contact terminals 2 for adjusting various board shapes via a rail 5 adjustable. The Schliesspneumatik 3 allows the recording of different sheet thicknesses.
Furthermore, a motor control of the rail 5 space for receiving boards, for example, created by a blank stack or "dropping" in a downstream processing station. For coarse adjustment of the board width is a superstructure O of the device relative to the substructure U in the transverse direction. To compensate for the expansion of the length of the board 1 as a result of heating the rail 5 is movably mounted. To dissipate heat loss arising a cooling device 13 is installed for the contact elements 2 in the form of a cooling water circuit. For moving the board 1 together with the connecting parts 2-5 in the longitudinal direction, a telescopic guide 7 is mounted, which is positioned between the rail guide 6 and the first guide frame 8.
The travel is adjusted appropriately, but usefully at least as large as the length of the board. It is used to record the board at upstream or downstream stations or deliver.
Fig. 2 is a plan view divided into the areas A-A, B-B and C-C. These are shown as sections in FIG. 1. The same components or assemblies are only partially mentioned. Due to the extensive similarity only excerpts are considered. Due to the applied voltage at terminals 15-20 and the contact between the contact elements 2 and the circuit board 1 current flows between the contact element pairs 2a, 2b, ..., 2e. Due to the electrical resistance, the circuit board 1 is heated. To achieve homogeneous heating, the current flows through independent and separately controllable circuits 15-16, 17-18, 19-20.
