The invention relates to a bicycle pants set, consisting of at least two bicycle pants with provided on the side of a bicycle saddle seat side seat cushion.
Such bicycle pants are well known in practice. It is mostly tight-fitting short or long pants, where on the inside of a seat cushion is sewn. This seat pad usually has a waisted shape and extends from the area of the sit bones beyond the genital area into the front seating area. These seat cushions are used to avoid bruising when riding a bicycle as far as possible or to distribute the pressure load over a larger area.
In conventional bicycle pants, the seat cushions usually have a uniform padding strength, regardless of what pressure is actually there.
This is where the invention, which has made it its mission to provide a set of bicycle pants available, which takes into account the actual pressure loads occurring.
This object is achieved in that the seat cushion of the bicycle pants are designed differently depending on a predetermined seat angle of the cyclist by the bicycle pants for a flat seat angle next to a padding for the sit bone and a padding in the front pants area is provided
while in the cycling pants for a steep seat angle, the padding in the seat bones is reinforced.
The invention is based on the finding that, depending on the seat angle of the cyclist, the pressure load in the area of the buttocks is different at different locations. For example, the seat angle during racing or mountain biking is very shallow, which, in conjunction with the narrow racing calipers, results in a relatively high pressure load in the front seating area while the pressure load is lower in the area of the sitting bones. By contrast, when riding upright, for example in city bicycles, the pressure load is almost exclusively absorbed by the sitting bones.
In the front pants area, therefore, the padding may be reduced accordingly, while it must be reinforced in the area of the seat bones.
In this context, it is advantageous if a bicycle pants, the seat cushion at a predetermined seat angle of 0-30 deg. extends substantially uniform thickness from the area of the seat bone to the front seat area and consists of a relatively solid material. Such a design is intended especially for racing and mountain biking.
For bicycle pants, for a seat angle of 30-60 deg. are determined, it is advantageous if the seat cushion extends from the front to the rear seating area, wherein in the region of the seat bones shock-absorbing additional padding are provided. The seat angle range of 30-60 deg. concerns so-called trekking bikes.
While the pressure loads also occur in the front area, pressure loads in the area of the sit bones also occur and intensify.
Both in road cycling and trekking cycling, the seat angle is still so flat that it can come to bruises in the genital area. For this reason, padding recesses for the genital area of the cyclist are preferably provided in the region of the longitudinal center of the seat cushion.
At a predetermined seat angle of 60-90, as he predominantly occurs in upright cycling in the city, the seat cushion extends from a relatively soft material throughout from the front to the rear seating area, wherein in the seat bone shock-absorbing reinforcing pads from a contrast are provided firmer material.
In the area of the greatest pressure load, the pressure due to this material combination is distributed over a larger area, which results in a noticeable pressure relief.
For attaching the different seat cushion in a pair of cycling pants, it is advantageous if the seat cushion are provided with a surrounding the padding areas, circumferential flat edge for sewing into the cycling pants.
In preferred embodiments, the seat cushion on a respective bicycle saddle adapted waisted shape, wherein in the region of the sidecut aprons are mounted from a relative to the padding material more flexible material.
These aprons cushion the inner thighs against the sides of the bicycle saddle and thus reduce any chafe marks.
Preferably, the various padding areas are constructed as a multilayer laminate, which is covered with a tricot and connected. The various upholstery are connected together in this way non-slip, so that even after repeated use of each pad sits in the right place.
It is also preferred if the side facing the pants fabric side of the seat cushion is covered with a nonwoven fabric which is connected to the laminate. Such a nonwoven fabric prevents slipping of the pants fabric against the seat cushion, which further improves the pleasant wearing properties.
Embodiments of the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to drawings.
Show it:

<Tb> FIG. 8 <sep> the top view of a seat pad of a cycling pants; and
<Tb> FIG. 9 <sep> a longitudinal section through a seat upholstery.
In Fig. 1, a racing cyclist is shown schematically, wherein it can be seen that the seat angle range alpha between 0 and 30 deg. is
From the seat cushion shown in Fig. 2 in plan view can be seen that the seat cushion is substantially continuous in uniform thickness from the front seat area 2 to the rear seating area. In the area of the longitudinal center, the seat upholstery is excluded (reference numeral 3) in order to avoid that pressure points in the genital area of the cyclist arise.
Around the padding the area of the seat cushion is flattened. At this edge 5, the seat cushion can be sewn into the pants. The seat cushion is, as shown in FIG. 2 can be seen, formed waisted and adapted to the shape of a bicycle saddle.
In the area of sidecut aprons 6 and 7 are attached, which consist of a relative to the seat cushion more flexible material. These side skirts are on the bicycle saddle on the side of the bicycle saddle and prevent chafing of the inner sides of the legs on the bicycle saddle.
The longitudinal section acc. Fig. 3 shows that the seat cushion is constructed multi-layered. The upper layer forms a tricot fabric 8, the middle layer, which represents the actual upholstery, is a shock-absorbing, denser foamed plastic 9. Below a thin foam layer 10 is provided, which is covered by a nonwoven fabric 11 down.
The padding and tricot fabric are bonded together by a thermal bonding process.
The embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 corresponds in principle to the embodiment shown above. However, it can be seen that the seat cushion is intended for a different seat angle range, namely 30-60. Due to the different compressive load, which now also participates the sitting bones, additional shock-absorbing seat pads 12 are provided in the rear seating area, ie in the area of the seat bones. In contrast to the embodiment described above, the continuous seat padding 9 is somewhat softer, the seat pads (pad pads) 12, however, are made of a stronger foam material.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 7 to 9 differs from the previously described exemplary embodiments in that no recess is provided in the area of the genitals, because there is no pressure load due to the steep and upright sitting position. The shock absorbing pad pads 12 are formed of a stronger foam material, as in the embodiment described above. FIGS. 4 to 6.
The advantage of the above-described and depending on the seat angle differently shaped seat padding for the bicycle pants is that even with different seat angles, the pressure loads can be distributed evenly, so that the cyclist can drive fatigue-free.
