The present invention relates to a device for holding a cutting device for cutting insulation plates on a scaffolding, the cutting device having a solid, elongated worktop with means for cutting the insulation plate mounted on its surface.
Devices for cutting insulation panels have been known for many years. Such devices are used to cut insulation panels made of heat-insulating material for the insulation of facades. Depending on the type of material from which the insulation plate is made, the plate is cut with a knife-like or saw-like element or is separated using a heating wire. The first version is particularly suitable for mineral fiber boards or glass fiber boards, while the second version is particularly suitable for insulation boards made of foamed plastic.
Initially, devices were offered that could stick directly to the facade on the already attached insulation panels. An example of such a device can be found, for example, in EP-A-0 168 345. The trend is towards increasingly thick insulation plates. Accordingly, the devices for cutting the insulation plates are also getting bigger. The latter applies in particular to the foamed plastic sheets. These ever larger cutting devices were no longer used to hold the facade, but were increasingly standing on the scaffolding and leaning against the building wall. This is already shown in EP-A-0 391 844. Even with cutting devices that are not used for foamed plastics, but for mineral fiber boards, this design has imposed itself for reasons of space.
Accordingly, EP-A-0 931 632 shows a device equipped with a stand.
As is well known, the space available on scaffolding is extremely limited. The actual running surface is narrow and the distance between the scaffolding and the insulating wall is more or less large depending on the thickness of the insulation plate to be applied. The applicant has therefore already proposed a solution in which the space between the wall of the building and the scaffolding can be used by an appropriately designed angled support. In this regard, reference is made to DE-A-4 435 252.
As is well known, you sometimes need a work surface similar to a table top to carry out the facade insulation work of interest here. However, since there is no space on the scaffolding itself to set up such a work surface, the applicant has created a work surface that can be attached to the scaffolding railing and can be pivoted outward beyond the construction railing, so that the passage is not hindered on the scaffolding itself. In this regard, reference is made to DE-U-29 704 946.1.
This solution has proven extremely positive and the inventor has therefore set itself the task of creating a device for holding a cutting device for cutting insulation panels on a scaffolding, in which the cutting device can be kept largely outside the accessible area of the scaffolding.
This object is achieved by a device for holding a cutting device with the features of patent claim 1. The extremely unusual solution does not simply consist of clamping a device to a scaffolding railing, but works with an unusual combination of tensile and compressive forces, resulting in a particularly inexpensive solution arises, which also has the great advantage that the inclination of the worktop is practically adjustable.
Further advantageous embodiments emerge from the dependent claims and their meaning and mode of operation is explained in the following description with reference to the attached drawing.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in simplified form as a whole, and two details are shown on a larger scale. 1 shows an embodiment variant of the device according to the invention for holding with a flexible tension member in the form of a belt; FIG. 2 shows in detail a fastening means on which the pulling element according to FIG. 1 acts, while FIG. 3 shows a fastening means on which a rigid pulling element is fastened, as shown in FIG. 4; FIG. 4 shows a second embodiment of the device according to the invention for holding a cutting device, in which the pulling element is designed as a rigid rod, while FIG. 5 shows the same solution when used in a conventional manner, leaning against a building wall.
1 shows a first embodiment of the subject of the invention in the position of use. L is the running surface of the scaffolding. The scaffolding railing G is arranged on the side remote from the wall. The scaffolding railing G has an upper strut 0 and a lower strut U. Between the upper and lower struts of the scaffolding railing, cross struts run in a zigzag shape, which are not particularly marked here. The cutting device, which is shown here as a device for cutting foamed plastic sheets, is designated here as a whole by 1. This device comprises a worktop 2, on which the means for cutting are firmly arranged. These means 3 comprise lateral guide struts 4 on which a guillotine-like cutting element 5 with an electric heating wire 6 can be moved up and down.
The insulation plate P to be cut is cut by means of the electrical heating wire 6. During cutting, the insulation plate P bears against a stop guide 7 of the cutting device 1. With 8 the narrow end face of the worktop and with 9 the underside of the worktop 2 is designated.
On the underside 9 of the worktop 2 mentioned, an abutment 10 is mounted in the area relatively close to the one narrow end face 8. The distance of the abutment 10 from the narrow end face 8 can be, for example, between 10 and 30 cm. In the simplest case, this abutment 10 consists of a profile section 11. This profile section can have an L, C, V or U shape. In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the abutment 10 is formed from two L-shaped profile sections, which together form a U-shaped profile section. The second L-shaped profile is designed as a fuse 12. The two L-shaped profile sections 11, 12 of the abutment 10 are displaceable relative to one another and thus adaptable to the cross section of the upper strut O of the railing G.
In addition, a counter element 13 can be provided to ensure that the upper strut O cannot slip out of the abutment 10 unintentionally.
A connecting piece 15 is provided in the area of the narrow end face 8 of the worktop 2 or adjoining it from the worktop 2 to the outside beyond the guide strut 4. The exact design of the connector 15 will be discussed again in the description of FIGS. 2 and 3. In the simplest design, as shown here in Fig. 1, it can be a simple angle. A tension member 20 engages the mentioned connector 15. In the example shown here, this tension member 20 is realized as a tension belt 21. The length of the tension belt 21 is adjusted by means of a tension ratchet 22. A fixed tension hook 23 is provided on the connector 15. The other end of the tension member 20 or the tension belt 21 is formed by a hanging member 24, which is designed here as a hook 25.
As already mentioned, the length of the tension belt 21 can be lengthened or shortened by the tensioning ratchet 22, as indicated by a corresponding double arrow. If the traction element 20 is shortened, the worktop 2 and thus the entire cutting device 1 swings upwards into a steeper position. However, if the traction element 20 is extended, the worktop 2 correspondingly pivots into a less steep position. The choice of inclination essentially depends on the desire of the worker.
4 shows a second embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. The tread of the scaffolding is again designated with the letter L, while G represents the scaffolding. The wall W shown here is on the right in the drawing. The cutting device 1 is in turn attached to the scaffolding railing G. The worktop of the cutting device 1 in turn has an abutment 10 on its underside. In the embodiment shown here, this abutment is designed as a semicircular, C-shaped profile. The abutment 10 engages around the upper strut of the railing. At the end, a connector 15 is in turn attached to the worktop 2. This connector 15 is connected to the tension member 20, which is designed here as a tension rod 26 with a c-shaped cross section.
The pull rod 26 is connected to the connector 15 via a joint 36. In the C-profile of the tension rod 26, a slot nut 29 is supported, on which a hollow retaining pin 27 rests, which can be locked in any position by means of a clamping lever 30. A disk 28 is arranged between the clamping lever 30 and the retaining pin 27. The elements 27-30 together form a suspension element 24, the length between the abutment 10 and the suspension element 24 being adjustable here as well. Tension rod 26, retaining pin 27 and plate washer 28 encompass the lower strut U of the scaffolding railing G. In addition, a perpendicular cross strut 31 is arranged at the lower end of the tension rod 26, to which two feet 32 are screwed.
5 shows how the rigid tension member 20 can be used here as a support leg. The support leg, which is formed by the tension rod 26, is now pivoted so far about the joint 36 that the locking screw 18 forms a stop for the tension rod 26. The feet 32 are now on the tread L of the scaffolding. At the same time, the worktop 2 abuts the building wall W with its upper end. In this way, the holding device according to the invention can also be used in the traditional way as a mainstay. However, it can be seen that the space available on the scaffolding is severely limited by the cutting device 1. However, such an application is still mandatory if there is a network on the outside of the scaffolding.
In such a case, the preferred use of the device for holding the cutting device cannot be used.
It is a further advantage of the device according to the invention that the two variants of the traction element 21, 26 can be used optionally. This is due to the special design of the connection between the tension member and the worktop. 2 shows the worktop 2 with the narrow end face 8 and the guide strut 4 of the cutting device fastened to the surface of the worktop 2. The electrical heating wire is also indicated. On the bottom 9, the counter element 13 is fixed. A connector 15 in the form of a clamping web 16 is fastened to this by means of screws. A fastening means in the form of a C-profile section 17 can be attached to this clamping web 16. The fastening means 17 can be fastened on the clamping web 16 by means of the locking screw 18.
2, an L-profile section 19 is attached to the fastening means 17, to which a fixed pull hook 23 is attached, which is connected to the pull belt 21. If this type of tension member is not desired, the tension rod 26 can also be used as the tension member, which in turn is connected to the fastening means 17 via the joint 36. The joint 36 has two hinge strap sections 35, one of which is connected to the fastening means 17, while the other hinge strap part is detachably screwed to the pull rod 26, for example. However, this connection can also be a welded connection. In both cases, however, the fastening means 17 is firmly connected to the tension member 20, regardless of whether the tension member 20 is a tension belt 21 or a tension rod 26.
To replace it, all that needs to be done is to loosen the locking screw 18 and to pull the tension member together with the fastening means from the clamping web 16. In the solution shown in FIG. 3 with the pull rod 26, it can also be seen that when the pull rod 26 is pivoted a further 90 degrees, the upper end face of the pull rod 26 comes to rest on the locking screw 18. Thus, the locking screw 18 has the additional function of serving as a stop.
It is easy to see that cutting devices already on the market can still be retrofitted with the device according to the invention. For this purpose, the abutment 10 and on the other hand the connecting piece 15 only have to be mounted on the worktop 2. The latter is done by also fastening the counter element 13 to the worktop 2 at the bottom and providing the connector 15 thereon, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
