Fig. 3).
The present invention relates to a device for additional marking of pedestrian strips formed from a plurality of parallel color bars.
Today's pedestrian stripes, so-called zebra stripes, are difficult to recognize for motorists despite the usually yellow color of the color bars at night and when it is raining or even snowing.
The object of the present invention was to remedy this disadvantage by developing a suitable device and for the motorist to optimally recognize the pedestrian strip or. To allow pedestrian crossing.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a device of the type defined in the introduction by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.
Particular embodiments of the device according to the invention are defined in the dependent claims.
The invention also relates to a method for assembling devices according to the invention, which is characterized according to the invention by the features of the characterizing part of claim 8.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the embodiments shown in the drawing. 1 shows a cross section through a device according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a view similar to Fig. 1, in the installed state, and Fig. 3 purely schematically, a pedestrian strip with built-in devices according to the invention.
Fig. 1 of the drawing shows a device according to the invention in cross section. It consists of an elongated base body 1 made of plastic, preferably colored yellow, in which a gable-roof-like structure 1 '' protrudes upward from a base plate 1 '. On the underside of the base plate 1 'there are recesses 2 for receiving adhesive in order to stick the device onto a roadway (other types of fastening are also conceivable).
The devices are intended to be in the direction of travel of automobiles, viewed in the transverse direction to the lane 3, at the head, i.e. at the narrow end of the color bar 4 of the pedestrian strip to be attached to the road surface (see Fig. 3).
Thanks to the gable roof-like shape of the structure of the device, the latter can easily be driven over by automobiles and other road users.
The device has a front inclined surface 5 and a rear, flat inclined surface 6, which merge into the base plate 1 '. In the front inclined surface 5, a groove 7, which is approximately perpendicular to the inclined surface, is provided, in which reflector body 8 e.g. are held in the form of glass reflectors.
These reflector bodies 8 ensure optimal detection of the start of the color bars when the light of a vehicle strikes them. Thanks to the reflector bodies 8 arranged in the groove of the front inclined surface, they are protected against unintentional breaking out of the groove even when driving over them: they are securely held in place.
The reflector bodies 8 are lined up next to one another. Over the length (approx. 500 mm) of the device or the groove 7 are e.g. 60 glass reflectors 8 used, e.g. in six segments, which are preferably separated from one another by deflectors 9 (see FIG. 2) in the form of protruding plates made of metal or abrasion-resistant plastic (six segments between deflectors 9). The deflectors serve to deflect the blades of snow clearing machines.
Since the front inclined surface 5 is relatively steep, the optimal placement of the reflector body 8 is ensured.
The base plate 1 'preferably projects on both sides over the base of the inclined surfaces 5, 6, with the extensions 10, 11.
This allows the device to be embedded in the paint application 12 of the color bars and thus to make it easy to drive over.
The installation takes place e.g. as follows: The devices 1 are attached (glued on, screwed on) to the existing or provided head positions of the color bars on the road surface. At least the grooves with inserted reflector bodies are covered with a tear-off protective film.
The color bars are then painted on, the paint being applied via the devices (the color of the paint application may also contain reflective material, such as sprinkled glass beads), and the transition between the roadway and the device is filled with color material. After the application of paint and drying has ended, the protective film is removed and the pedestrian strip is additionally optimally protected thanks to the reflectors (optimal recognition by motorists in the direction of travel).
