Abstract
The supporting frame consists of a base frame (1) on which two support yokes (2) are removably fitted. The support beams (4) of the yokes are extensible (5) so that sacks of seed potatoes started thereon can be pushed apart for pregermination (chitting) in such a way that access of air and light is maintained. The sacks can be emptied whilst remaining on the frame through the base frame (1) or outside the latter from the pulled-out extensions (5). When not in use, the base frames (1) can be stacked and the associated yokes (2) can be suspended over them in a pushed-together state. <IMAGE>
Description
The invention relates to a support frame for manipulating sacks for agricultural products, in particular for seed potatoes, according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
The use of such bags, also called "pre-germ bags", is already widespread; they are permeable to light and air, which is a prerequisite for pre-germinating seed potatoes.
In order to understand the invention, it must be said that the manipulation of such bags for seed potatoes in the course of the year comprises the following processes in succession:
In autumn: filling and delivery of the filled sacks; in winter: store in a cool and dark room; in spring: bring the sacks outside with large gaps so that light and air have access to pre-germinate the potatoes; Later: transport to the field or to other companies and emptying the sacks into the setting machine for placing the potatoes.
Up until now, each of these processes had to be relocated or reloaded, which is always a lot of work.
For the temporary reception of such filled bags, a frame has become known which has two parallel horizontal support bars for placing the support rods of the bags. Such racks are extensive and heavy and in no way suitable for moving or even transporting. For this reason, the bags have to be relocated to a different frame for each work step.
From CH-A-609 631 a support frame with two parallel horizontal support bars is previously known, the frame having a base frame on which two support yokes are detachably placed, each of which consists of two columns and a support bar connecting them, and the base frame is designed to be stackable .
The aim of the invention is to enable all of the above-mentioned processes up to and with the emptying of the sacks to be carried out on one and the same supporting frame without having to reposition the sacks once.
The invention achieves these aims by the characterizing features of patent claim 1.
The frame can be easily dismantled in such a way that when not in use, e.g. can be stowed in a confined space during the summer.
The support bars are preferably provided on both ends of the yokes with support rods which can be pushed in and out or folded in and out. This ensures a simple lengthening or shortening of the support arms to reduce (store) or enlarge (pre-germinate) the sack spacing. In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown.
Fig. 1 shows the assembled support frame in the oblique view and
Fig. 2 shows a plurality of support frames in disassembled and stacked condition for non-use.
The support frame has a base frame 1, on which two support yokes 2 are detachably placed.
Each support yoke consists of two columns 3 and a support beam 4 connecting them. Each support beam is provided at both ends with support rods 5 which can be pushed in and pushed out, which here are square extension tubes with end stops 6. The extension tubes can be clamped in each extension position using set screws 7. Instead of the extension tubes 5, folding and unfolding support rods could also be provided.
The base frame 1 has four vertical base pipe sockets 8, which are connected to one another by cross members 9 to form a square. The corresponding columns 3 of the yokes 2 are inserted into the base pipe socket 8, so that the supporting frame can be easily dismantled by pulling out the yokes. A foot (10) is provided at each corner of the base frame and consists of an angled band. The feet are dimensioned and arranged so that the fork of a forklift can be inserted between two feet. In addition to the standing surface 11, the feet have a channel-shaped section 12 and a downwardly curved end flange 13. With this design, a multiplicity of base frames 1 can be stacked on top of one another alone, in that the channels 12 are placed on the base tube supports 8.
To secure the position, position pins 14 attached to the connecting piece 8 engage in corresponding holes 15 on the foot edges (FIG. 2).
Whole, i.e. assembled and loaded with sacks are stacked on top of each other. The support bars 4 engage in the foot channels 12 of a support frame stacked above them, so that the mutual position is also secured.
As is apparent from Fig. 1, the base frame 1 includes a square open area 16, which is important for emptying the bags.
With the support frame described, all of the processes described at the beginning can be carried out without having to reposition the bags; this is briefly explained: by means of their supporting rods, the sacks for filling in the fresh seed potatoes are hung on the bars 4. The carrying frame with all the filled bags is loaded onto a transport vehicle by forklift and deposited in the same way at the delivery location. Over the winter, the sacks are pushed together, e.g. stored in the basement. In spring, the support frame is brought outside with a forklift, the support rods 5 are pushed out and the sacks are pushed apart, so that air and light have access to pre-germinating. Several support frames can be stacked on top of each other.
To set the seed potatoes, the support frame is either loaded onto the trolley bridge of a transport vehicle or it can be brought directly to the field using a forklift. In the first case, the front sack is pushed over the edge of the loading bridge and emptied directly into the filling opening of the setting machine. In the second case, the entire supporting frame can be brought by the forklift through the filling opening of the setting machine and all bags can be emptied directly through the space 16 which remains free.
Once all of the seed potatoes have been set, the task is to supply the supporting frames in a space-saving manner. For this purpose, the following can be done: e.g. seven base frames 1 stacked on top of each other and all of their support yokes 2 are hung from above over the frame. All the supporting frames then take up no larger area than a single one. However, it is also possible to put together a supporting frame and to hang a large number of supporting yokes over the supporting bars 4.
The support frame also has the advantage that the sacks can be pushed together for all transport processes and the extension tubes 5 can be pushed in to save space, regardless of whether it is transport to the field or to a decreasing company.
As can be seen, the use of the support frame according to the invention leads to a substantial saving of time and personnel. The frame can of course also be used for other similar sacks with agricultural products etc. such as use to dry onions.
Another advantage of the described support frame is that all dimensions correspond to the new European standards.
