Description

The present invention relates to plastic mesh, namely openwork structures obtained directly and completely by extrusion of thermoplastic synthetic resins.

Such gratings are now well known, and generally comprise a perforated and flat strip of plastic material, having a plurality of orifices distributed in the longitudinal direction of the strip, and in at least one transverse direction, for example perpendicular, of the same band. These orifices or perforations are therefore delimited in the sheet by longitudinal solid areas and transverse solid areas.

The use of such fencing has become common and applies to all kinds of circumstances such as:

- the delimitation of temporary sites and works, both on public roads and on private land,

- the marking of ski slopes,

- guiding the public to access various events.

- the materialization of certain dangerous passages, in particular in sporting events such as rallies.

Often, different signs, such as information panels, signposts, signs, advertising messages accompany the installation of these fences, to inform, warn, or warn the public or users.

The establishment of such panels, additional to that of the fence, and on the place of erection of the latter, has various drawbacks.

First of all, the area covered by the mesh can be such that no residual space remains for the installation of an indicator panel.

Then, this installation represents an expense and an additional time to those relating to the layout of the fence.

Finally, the presence of the grid can mask, in whole or in part, or interfere with the readability of the messages to be communicated to the public or to users.

The present invention aims to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks.

More particularly, the invention relates to a plastic mesh compatible with signaling at the place of its erection or establishment.

According to the invention, and generally, in at least one direction of extension of the strip constituting the mesh, for example longitudinal, at least one solid area hereinafter called signaling strip, located or at the edge of the plastic strip perforated, or intermediate between its borders, has a greater width than that of the adjacent solid areas. And, this signaling strip comprises, in an integrated manner with the material of the plastic strip, a signaling support.

This signaling support can then be coated or impregnated, in particular by printing such as ink jet, with a material of color and / or appearance different from those of the material constituting the strip forming a mesh, and the localized and controlled deposition of this material materializes the message or signaling information, which we want to reproduce or print.

By message or signaling information, we mean all kinds of messages or signs such as:

- advertising or commercial messages, such as logos, signs, slogans, brands and acronyms.

- signs or messages visible at night, by using fluorescent or retro-reflective materials.

- warnings, cautions, prohibitions,

- information, advice.

These messages can be reproduced or printed in any color or shade.

In addition to integrating an informative function into a plastic grid, the invention also makes it possible to significantly improve the mechanical resistance of the plastic grid, in the direction of extension of the signaling strip. Such reinforcement can be of interest in the uses for which the grating can receive a shock or a significant force, for example the push of an audience to channel.

The present invention also presents the following variants:

- The signaling strip can be located in a middle zone of the perforated plastic strip, between its two longitudinal edges for example;

- Preferably, the signaling strip extends in the longitudinal direction of the plastic strip, but of course the extension of the same strip can be obtained in other directions, for example a direction perpendicular to the direction of unwinding of the strip;

- The solid area forming a signal strip has at least one outer face, arranged to serve directly as a signaling support, for example treated appropriately to receive an inkjet print;

- The signaling support can also consist of a ribbon of a plastic material, identical or different from the material of the mesh, co-extruded with that of the tape constituting the mesh; this co-extrusion also reinforces in significant proportions the mechanical resistance of the plastic mesh, in the direction of extension of the same tape;

- the signaling support can be arranged continuously or discontinuously; the message can be printed or reproduced without interruption on the warning banner, or be reproduced discontinuously along the same banner.

A grid, according to the invention, comprises a perforated and flat strip 1, generally obtained by extrusion of a plastic material. This strip has a plurality of orifices 2, distributed in the longitudinal direction of the strip, shown in FIG. 1 by arrow A, and in a transverse direction, and more precisely perpendicular to direction A, shown in FIG. 1 by arrow B. In accordance with fig. 3, the signaling support 4 is different from the solid areas 3 of the plastic mesh, and consists of a tape 5, always made of identical or different plastic material, co-extruded with the material of the strip 1.
