Abstract

The equipment prevents theft of a pair of skis. A first lock half is fixed to one ski, while on the other is a rope-coiling mechanism, with the other half on the free end of the rope. The lock can be formed by male and female halves, with a combination mechanism using letters or numbers, or alternatively key-operated, while the coiling mechanism can incorporate a retraction spring, and can be mounted on the ski top surface. Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zum Sichern eines Skipaares gegen Diebstahl. Seitdem der Skisport einerseits zu einem Massensport geworden ist, während anderseits die Skis und Bindungen immer weiter perfektioniert und damit auch verteuert wurden, kommen leider auch immer öfters Diebstähle vor. Bei Raststätten oder Restaurants werden die Skis in spezielle Halter untergebracht oder nur in den Schnee gesteckt, da sie meist nicht in das Lokal mitgenommen werden dürfen. So sind die teuren Skis mit den teuren Bindungen oft längere Zeit unbeobachtet und verleiten zum Diebstahl. Statt einem Diebstahl kann auch eine unbeabsichtigte Verwechslung stattfinden, sofern die Ski und die Bindung von der gleichen Marke sind und die Bindung auf dieselbe Schuhgrösse eingestellt ist.
