DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a drain device for sanitary installations comprising a lower part fixedly mounted on the bottom of a bathtub and cooperating with a mobile drain.
In a presently known emptying device, contained in the description of the Swiss patent N "520 234, it is a question of a emptying body composed of an upper grid coming to freely adjust in a circular collar which is released in its central part so as to allow a drain plug to pass axially which closes a conical orifice located in the lower part of the drain body which is still provided radially with a passage allowing connection of a secondary drain pipe. gives the whole device a rigidity which pfovoque the seal necessary for the proper functioning of the device.
The main disadvantage of the execution described above resides in the closure principle which closes only one outlet, namely the main evacuation pipe. The orifice of the secondary pipe remaining permanently open in the present case, which can cause a backflow through the upper grid. In addition, the fixing of the entire emptying device, by flanges, is particularly complicated to install due mainly to the space available for the various assembly and adjustment operations on the centering plane.
In another description of Swiss Patent No. 526 688, a drain device is described comprising a threaded sleeve which is connected to a drain body provided with a fixing ring which is screwed onto the sleeve by performing axial compression on the drain body by means of several seals serving as a seal and constant pressure.
The threaded sleeve being machined so as to receive radially a secondary evacuation pipe connected by known means and therefore not described.
The disadvantage of this embodiment is that the distance between the secondary pipe and the upper inlet of the main pipe is far too great. Because of the space currently available in sanitary appliances in general, it becomes imperative to have the smallest possible mechanisms, which can be pre-assembled in the workshop, and requiring only a quick connection on site which generates a significant reduction in assembly costs.
The object of the present invention is to provide an extremely simple device, having a distance between the upper edge of the main flow and the secondary pipe or pipes as short as possible, so, for example in the case of a bathtub double bottom, quickly drain the double bottom in a single operation, and with the absolute guarantee that water residues no longer remain in places lower than the exhaust port.
In addition, by this device, odors due to impurities are eliminated and it is also possible, since the pipe is normally closed, to breathe either water or air directly into the secondary circuit for applications. medical or sports.
According to the invention, the emptying device is characterized in. that the bung is actuated by a mechanism positioned axially in the lower part, and simultaneously opening, on the one hand, at least one lateral passage being in correspondence between a seat and a tube and allowing the flow of a parked liquid in the double bottom of the bath and, on the other hand, a vertical main passage for rapid emptying of the bath
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of nonlimiting example. a mode of evacuation device, object of the invention, as well as a variant of execution and use in accordance with; the invention.
In this drawing:
Fig. 1 shows an axial vertical section of the basic execution of the emptying device.
Fig. 2 shows a radial schematic section of the lower part of the device along line II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 shows an axial section of an alternative embodiment of the emptying device.
The device forming the subject of the invention is now described with reference to FIG. 1 which comprises a lower part 1 composed of a tube 2 provided with an internal thread 3 receiving a seat 4 which has the particularity of having an internal cone 5 provided with lateral passage holes 6-7 opening into recesses 8- 9 which are at the same level as the threaded holes 10-11 located in the pipe 2.
In the upper part 14 of the emptying device, an annular flange 15, by means of an external thread 16, serves as a junction between the bottom 17 of a bathtub not shown and the lower part 1 of the tubing 2.
To obtain an adequate seal, an O-ring 20 is placed between the enlarged upper edge 21 of the tube 2 and the lower surface 22 of the bottom 17 of the bathtub.
The tubing 2 is also provided with holes 25-26 serving as anchoring points for the cylindrical pins of a fixing key.
The seat 4 is blocked by means of a ring 30 which has an internal bore 31 serving to position a bush 32 which allows the guiding of a rod 33 actuating a plug 34 coming to fit in the internal cone 5 of the seat 4 .
The rod 33 being further provided at its lower part with a fixing screw 35 cooperating with a lever mechanism serving for opening or closing the bung 34.
As can be seen explicitly in FIG. 2, the ring 30 is pierced with several holes 37 which facilitate the rapid flow of the emptying which is done through a sleeve 38 which is connected to the emptying pipe not shown.
The sleeve 38 also serving as a locking nut for the final maintenance of the seat 4 and of the ring 30.
In an alternative embodiment referring to FIG. 3, the tubing 40 is positioned directly on the bottom 41 of a bathtub and passes through the double bottom 42 which thus allows the assembly of the entire emptying device by screwing the nut 43.
As can be seen, the plug 44 is located approximately at the bottom 41 and is actuated by a mechanism 45 identical to that described in FIG. 1.
Secondary lateral pipes 47-48, fixedly mounted on the pipe 40 to allow the liquid to be discharged, are located between the double bottom 42 and the bottom 41.
A ring 30 acts as a guide for the mechanism 45 and as a blocking device for the seat 49 which is provided with lateral bores 50-51 communicating with the lateral conduits 47-48.
When the plug 44 is actuated in the direction of arrow A, it releases the lateral openings and also the main vertical drain passage.
This device being very compact in terms of height, it is possible to adapt it to all the funds currently existing on the market.
In another variant not shown, the drain may have a flat surface in place of a cone, coming into contact with a seat provided with a corresponding surface covered with a film or a film of material. plastic for a perfect seal. In addition, in a simplified variant, the tubing and the seat form a single piece with a conical or flat central part serving as a flow opening.
It should also be understood that the foregoing description has been given only by way of example, and that it in no way limits the field of the invention from which one would not depart by replacing the details of execution described by all other equivalent means.
It is understood in particular that the positioning of the lateral passages can be made as high as possible from the visible base surface of the flow.
