BESCHREIBUNG
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a fifth wheel coupling arrangement with a coupling plate, which has an insertion slot through which a kingpin can be inserted, with a first and a second locking part which are movably mounted, the kingpin abutting in a recess in the first closing part.
Since both the kingpin and the closure parts are subject to wear during driving due to pulsating power transmissions, the kingpin and / or the closure part can be worn in the force-transmitting areas. Such wear leads to the fact that an optimal loop system between the kingpin and the closure part is no longer possible. The driver of the truck, on which a fifth wheel coupling is mounted, notices the wear that has occurred due to the shaking movements of the vehicle. He will check the play between the king pin and the locking part and adjust it as necessary.
There are already several suggestions for realizing the play between the kingpin and the locking part.
For example, an eccentric bolt has been proposed that first has to be pulled out in order to eliminate play in the locking system, then has to be turned and reinserted. The closure is thereby tightened.
The main disadvantage of this arrangement is that the entire bolt has to be dismantled. The game of the eccentric bearing pin is also removed. It is time consuming.
In addition, only gradual adjustment is possible with this system.
Another type of locking adjustment is possible with the help of a locking wedge. The kingpin is in the coupling lock on the one hand on the interchangeable wear ring and on the other hand it is encompassed by the coupling hook. The locking wedge, which is under spring pressure, presses inwards and locks the coupling hook. The striker can only push in until it is against the adjusting screw rod. In this way, the kingpin is held in the clutch lock without play.
With this solution, problems can be expected due to the coupling hook geometry. A jamming of the lock when opening the clutch cannot be excluded. In addition, this system is exposed to the ingress of contaminants and damage. The closure is not self-locking.
The object of the present invention is to provide a stepless, easily accessible play compensation device between the kingpin and the closure part in a fifth wheel arrangement, while avoiding the disadvantages described.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of the first claim.
Further advantageous refinements emerge from the dependent claims.
A preferred exemplary embodiment is intended to explain the invention in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing.
The single figure shows a plan view of an arrangement according to the invention.
The figure shows a fifth wheel plate 1 with an insertion slot la. The insertion slot la is arranged along the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. A king pin 6 is inserted into the fifth wheel plate along the arrow and held in position by the closure part 2. A second closure part 3, which is movably mounted, is used to lock the closure part 2 in the retracted state of the kingpin 6.
The closure part 3 has an extension 3a, the outer contour of which corresponds to the contour of the recess 2a in the closure part 2. In the illustrated locking position of the closure parts, the projection 3a engages in the recess 2a more or less positively.
A bore, the central axis of which is indicated by 7, is arranged in the extension 3a. An imaginary extension of the central axis 7 passes through the fulcrum 4 of the closure part 3. The central axis 7 of the bore, and correspondingly the effective force of the screw to be fitted in the bore, is oriented perpendicularly to the region of the closure part 2 to which the edge 3b of the extension 3a is in the locked position.
The arrangement works as follows:
If there is play between the kingpin 6 and the closure part 1, the easily accessible screw 8 can be adjusted from the outside. By turning the screw 8, an effective pressure is exerted on the closure part 2 along the central axis 7. Due to the pressure that the extension 3a exerts on the region of the recess 2a in the closure part 2, the closure part 2 is moved slightly. The play between the kingpin 6 and the closure part 2 is thus compensated for, so that the kingpin 6 in the closure part 2 again lies optimally.
The screw arrangement 8 is easily accessible from the outside. For the purposes of adjustment, no disassembly is required. The adjustment can be carried out continuously and precisely.
