   BESCHREIBUNG

   DESCRIPTION

The invention relates to a window cover, in particular for covering the front and / or rear window of road vehicles.

It is known that when the sun shines, especially in summer, the inside of street vehicles and airplanes parked outdoors for hours or days is heated to an uncomfortably high degree, which is important for the well-being of the users and for the material, e.g. Dashboard, steering wheel, seals etc. and the instruments of such heated street vehicles or aircraft is very detrimental.

Storage vehicles parked outdoors are also negatively influenced in strong sunlight.

It is also known that in the case of road vehicles located outdoors in winter, the windows of the same are very often covered with a layer of ice or snow, which requires laborious cleaning of the windows covered in this way.

The object of the present invention is, in particular, to provide a flexible cover which, in the case of snow or ice formation, is a laborious cleaning of the vehicle windows, prevents excessive heating of the interior of the vehicle in summer and is easy to use.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a cover of the type mentioned at the outset in that it has a first film made of polyvinyl chloride which is self-adhesive on glass and a protective film which is connected to the latter and is made of plastic.

In order to avoid excessive heating of the interior of the car by incident light rays, it may be expedient for the protective film to be designed to be light and / or heat reflecting. It is advantageous if the protective film is made of colored, e.g. white, pigmented or metallized polyethylene or polyester.

For this purpose, it may also be expedient that an intermediate layer, which is connected to both and reflects heat rays and is preferably made of an aluminum or tin foil, is arranged between the first foil and the protective foil.

Further advantageous further developments are the subject of claims 4 to 10.

The invention is described in more detail below with reference to two exemplary embodiments shown enlarged in the drawing. It shows:
1 shows a section through a first exemplary embodiment according to the invention; and
Fig. 2 shows a section through a second embodiment of the invention.

In the first exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the self-adhesive pane cover 2, which is detachably arranged on a glass pane 1, has a first film 3 consisting of 30 to 42% by weight, preferably 37% by weight, plasticizer-containing polyvinyl chloride, which has glass-adhesive properties on which an intermediate layer 4 consisting of aluminum or tin reflecting heat radiation is evaporated.

For mechanical protection of the very thin intermediate layer 4 against damage, a flexible plastic, e.g. Polyethylene or polyester, existing protective layer 5 laminated.

In this way it is achieved that the intermediate layer 4 comes to lie absolutely free of torsion between the two foils 3 and 5.

The plasticizer used in the adhesive film 3 suitably consists of dioctyl phthalate, didecyl phthalate or dibutyl phthalate.

In this way it is achieved that the cover 2 adheres releasably to the pane surface to be covered without adhesive or mechanical fastening means only on the basis of the material properties (adhesion) of the first film 3. The cover 2 formed in this way can be used as many times as desired and does not lose its adherence even after it has been washed.

Since no fastening elements are required for fastening this cover 2 on a pane surface to be covered, the handling of this cover 2 for covering the front and / or rear window of road vehicles is extremely simple.

The light and heat reflecting formation on the side of the cover 2 facing the sun also serves to ensure that a) the adhesive power of the side of the cover coming into contact with the pane surface to be covered can be set so strongly that it still adheres sufficiently even in cold weather , on the other hand, it does not become too soft (and therefore easily damaged!) in strong sunlight thanks to the strong reflection of the heat rays, and b) the self-adhesive properties are not irretrievably destroyed by long-term sun exposure (e.g. UV radiation).

Of course, the cover 2 designed according to the invention can also be used in winter to avoid laborious cleaning of windows covered with a layer of snow and / or ice from street vehicles parked outdoors. It is advantageous that this cover can be attached easily and easily, can be reused without restrictions and can be supplied extremely easily in the vehicle.

Furthermore, it is also possible to temporarily arrange the cover according to the invention as heat protection on window panes of houses or shop windows. It is not absolutely necessary to cover the entire window area by means of this cover 2. In order to avoid that it becomes too dark in the rooms protected against undesired solar radiation, it can also be expedient to measure the layer thickness of the intermediate layer 4 in such a way that the latter has a transparent effect.

The protective film 5 can also be slightly colored to avoid any undesirable glare.

Of course, it is also possible that the self-adhesive pane cover consists only of a polyvinyl chloride film 3 that is self-adhesive on glass 1 and is colored for reflection or absorption of heat rays. This film 3 can also be used in winter to prevent icing of the pane surfaces.

In order to avoid that the self-adhesive pane cover according to the invention is stolen, it is also possible to choose its dimensions such that it can be clamped on the vehicle between the door and the door frame.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, a protective film 5 made of white-colored polyethylene is laminated directly onto the self-adhesive polyvinyl chloride film 3 and thus forms the cover 2.

The protective film 5 also largely prevents contamination of the outside of the cover 2, which is directly exposed to the weather, and enables the latter to be rolled up and supplied without problems after use.
