BESCHREIBUNG
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a compressed air source or a spray device according to the preambles of claims 1 and 6, respectively.
Spray devices for flowable media, such as plaster, mortar and paint, work with high-pressure air sources, which has the advantage that a thin and long air line can be used between the pressure medium source and the spray gun, which means that the operator of the spray gun has a comparatively large radius around the compressed air source is able to act. The disadvantage, however, is that all parts of the spraying device have to be dimensioned according to the high pressure load and are therefore expensive.
The present invention has for its object to provide a compressed air source and a sprayer, which che works with low-tension air and therefore very easily, i.e. H. is effortlessly portable and inexpensive to manufacture. According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of claims 1 and 6.
The small volume and the equally low weight of the compressed air source make it easy to carry, which is why the comparatively large cross-section of the low-pressure hose to the spray gun can not only be thin-walled and flexible but also very short, without the operator's radius of action or the easy handling of the spray gun to affect. The low-pressure version of the spraying device also enables it to be made completely (with the exception of the nozzles) from commercially available profiles, blowers, funnels, pipe elbows, etc.
and therefore extremely inexpensive to manufacture. The invention is explained, for example, with the aid of the attached schematic drawing.
The compressed air source 1 has a housing, consisting of a ring-cylindrical casing 2 and a base 3 and a cover 4. The base 3 and the cover 4 are inserted into the casing 2 with a friction fit by means of lamellae 5 and 6 on the edge. The bottom 3 is provided on the outside with feet 7 and around its center with air inlet openings 8, which are surrounded on the inside of the cover with a concentric rib 9, which can be continuous or interrupted. A blower 10 with an electric motor 11 is combined within the jacket to form a structural unit, the outside of which forms a shoulder 12 and a circular sealing surface 13. An elastic ring seal 14 seals off the space between the sealing surface 13 and the inner wall of the casing, as a result of which a pressure chamber 15 is separated inside the casing 2.
The air inlet opening 16 of the blower 10 faces the air inlet openings 8 in the base 3, whereas the air outlet openings 17 are directed into the pressure chamber 15. A control device 18 with a rotary knob 19 is also attached to the cover 4, the rotation of which controls the speed of the motor 11 and thus the amount of air conveyed. A pipe socket 21 connects to the air outlet opening 20 of the cover 4 and is connected to the cover 4 by a swivel joint 22. A bellows-shaped, thin-walled hose 23 is connected to the pipe socket 21 and leads to the spray gun 24. When the fan is assembled, the base 3 is first pressed into the casing 2 and then an air filter 25 is placed behind the air inlet openings 8.
The ring seal 14 is then inserted into the casing 2 and the structural unit, consisting of the fan 10 and the motor 11, is pressed axially into the casing until the fan 10 is in contact with the rib 9. The ring seal 14 is pushed down with the insertion of the fan 10 and motor 11 and clamps tightly between the sealing surface 13 and the inner wall of the casing. At the same time, it centers the structural unit 10, 11, which is also supported downwards by the rib 9. Then, after connecting the motor 11 to the control device 18, the cover 4 is pressed onto the jacket 2.
The spray gun consists of a turning tube 26 connected to the hose 23, at the free end of which a replaceable nozzle 27 is screwed on for the discharge of the compressed air. A material nozzle 28 is inserted coaxially in the nozzle 27, leaving an annular space surrounding it, which is screwed onto an angled pipe section 29. This is led through the turning tube wall. On the outside of the pipe section 29, a ball valve 30 is connected with a turning handle 31, on which a funnel 32 is placed. Clamping closures are attached on the outside to opposite sides of the funnel, which press a removable cover 33 with a press fit onto the funnel. The funnel 32 serves to receive the spray material 38.
In the cover 33 on the one hand and in the turning tube 26 on the other hand, a connecting sleeve 34 or 35 is attached, which are connected with a hose 36, so that the head space 37 in the funnel 33 is acted upon by compressed air.
When the spray device is in operation, the filling material 38 is first filled into the funnel 32 when the ball slide 30 is closed, and the funnel 32 is then sealed with the cover 33 and the clamp closures. The motor 11 is then brought to the desired speed by means of the rotary knob 19. The compressed air emerges from the nozzle 27 on the one hand and builds up an excess pressure in the head space 37 of the funnel 32, which presses the spray material 38 downward and prevents bridging in the funnel 32. Then the ball valve 31 is opened and the spray material is fed to the nozzle 28 in the desired dosage.
The use of low-tension air has the advantage that the material to be sprayed is not atomized but only crushed up to the size of the droplets, which means that no extensive covers have to be made around the surfaces to be coated.
