PATENT CLAIMS
1. A method for producing ring-shaped components wound from wooden strips on a core, characterized in that the wooden strip is pre-tensioned by application of a counterforce before winding and wound in the pre-tensioned state.
2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that between the individual wood layers of each wound component adhesive is introduced and the finished wound component is cured.
3. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the counterforce applied to pretension the wooden band is adjustable.
4. The method according to claim 1 or claim 3, characterized in that the counterforce is generated by applying a force acting oppositely to the winding force on the wooden strip, the winding force itself being applied by the drive of the winding core.
5. The method according to claim 1 or claim 3, characterized in that the counterforce is generated by braking the wound tape.
The present invention relates to a novel method for producing annular components wound from wooden strips on a core.
It is known to consist of several layers of wood annular or cylindrical components for different purposes, e.g. B. as wheel rims or as rigid, but not load-bearing partitions. In general, such elements have so far been relatively little polluted (on pressure).
A short time ago, actual carriers with high loads, e.g. B. supports for hall roofs and similar structures made of wood and partially using ring-shaped wooden components.
However, it has been shown that such conventional, i.e. ring-shaped components built by normal gluing of wooden strips can only be subjected to pressure to a limited extent.
It has also been shown that, surprisingly, the load capacity of the components could be significantly increased if they were manufactured using a new process.
This method forms the subject of the present invention and is characterized in that the wooden strip, from which a ring-shaped component is wound on a core, is pretensioned before the winding by applying a counterforce and is wound in the pretensioned state.
The preload or the counterforce mentioned is adjustable or regulatable.
The individual wooden layers forming a component are usually glued together over the entire length, for which purpose an adhesive is preferably built up on the corresponding strip surface before winding.
The implementation of the method according to the invention is briefly explained below:
Wooden rings or wooden cylinders with a ring width of up to 30 cm and a diameter between e.g.
20 cm and 80 cm can be wrapped.
Ribbons, e.g. B. endless belts of wood or wood veneer are used. All types of wood such as B. beech, spruce, fir, tropical woods, etc. in question.
The winding core made of metal is selected according to the desired inner diameter of the ring to be produced and used in a suitable machine with the associated drive for the core.
The wooden tape is unwound from a tape roll and attached to the core. The wooden tape is retained with a predetermined force before winding and the winding process is carried out, with glue being applied to the appropriate side of the tape. After the desired ring thickness has been reached, the band is cut off and the end is temporarily attached to the ring. Then the curing takes place, namely z. B. by means of heat, high frequency, normal curing, etc.
