The invention relates to a locking device with a cylinder core rotatable in a housing and a key that can be inserted into a key channel. Such locking devices have long been known as cylinder locks. The known designs of such cylinder locks have the disadvantage, however, that they no longer fully meet today's requirements with regard to unlocking security and possible variations. This applies in particular to the production of large locking systems, in the preparation of which many possible variations that theoretically exist do not apply in practice. Under certain conditions, this also applies to cylinder locks that work on the basis of magnetic rotary locks.
With the previous magnetic locks it was e.g. For reasons of space, it is not possible to increase the number of magnetic pills from 3 to 4 without significantly changing the dimensions customary for cylinder locks and their keys.
The disadvantages of previously known constructions are eliminated according to the invention in that the key has ribs and / or recesses lying transversely to the direction of insertion on two surfaces, by means of which ribs or recesses are controlled locking elements which can be displaced transversely to the direction of insertion of the key and which, in the locked position, into a recess in the housing protrude and are arranged in the release position within the interface between the cylinder core and the housing. According to a further embodiment, the surfaces are the key longitudinal edges and the locking elements balls guided in bores in the cylinder core. There is also the possibility that the arrangement of a ball in the cylinder core corresponds to the arrangement of a recess on the key and that if a rib is arranged at this point, the ball will be omitted.
A ball is preferably assigned to at least one of the ribs and is guided in a circumferential groove on the inner surface of the housing. Thus, a rotation of the cylinder core is possible and in the same plane on the opposite longitudinal edge of the key a multi-part key retaining pin cooperating with a recess can be arranged, the division of which is arranged at the correct depth of the recess in the separating surface between the cylinder core and the housing and the housing pin under the pressure a spring after a rotation of the key around 1800 slides over the ball held by the rib in the groove, or in the event of an incorrect arrangement of a recess at this point in the key (FIG. 1, dashed) snaps into the bore of the ball, thereby blocking the cylinder core is.
Further preferred configurations of the locking device according to the invention are characterized in further dependent claims.
The invention is described in more detail below, for example, with reference to the drawings. Fig. List is an axial longitudinal section through the left half of a double cylinder lock according to the invention, with some of the parts lying above the section plane are also included for better understanding. Fig. 2 is a section through the cylinder core along the line II-II in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 shows partially a section along the line III-III in Fig. 1. Fig. 4 is a plan view of the cylinder core according to arrow IV in Fig. 1, wherein the cylinder housing is not shown. Fig. 5 is a section along the line V-V in Fig. 1. Fig. 6 shows a second embodiment of the construction according to the invention.
FIG. 7 shows a key according to the invention in a side view and FIGS. 8 to 17 further exemplary embodiments.
The constructions shown in the figures are based on magnetic cylinder locks as have been previously proposed and described (e.g. DE-OS 2905 941). The relevant design elements and their mode of operation are therefore only briefly discussed below.
In the cylinder housing, a cylinder core 2 is rotatably mounted, which has a key channel 3, into which a key 4 is fully inserted. The key channel is arranged in the center of the cylinder core, i.e. that the upper longitudinal edge 5 of the key (in the case of conventional keys, the back of the key) is enclosed by the material of the cylinder core and is not flush with the outer surface of the cylinder core (see FIG. 5). The key 4 has four continuous magnetic pills 25, which can be magnetized differently on both sides. In the cylinder core 2, parallel to the magnetic pills of the key, magnetic rotors 26 are arranged which, depending on the magnetization of the key pill, assume a certain rotational position.
In a known manner, with all magnetic rotors in the correct position on one side of the core, an axial displacement of an axial locking bar 30 is made possible. On the side facing the housing, the axial locking bar 30 carries locking pieces 31 which engage in an axial groove 32 of the cylinder housing.
The innermost locking piece 31 is located in a recess 33 of a locking ring 34 which is guided around the outside of the cylinder core 2 and is freely rotatable against the latter. The position of the locking ring relative to the housing is releasably fixed by means of a ball catch 35. In Fig. 1, the parts 30, 31, 34 are drawn phantom-like in the middle section.
If the cylinder core 2 is rotated with the key 4, the innermost locking piece 31 runs onto an oblique flank of the recess 33 of the locking ring 34 and the axial one
Lock bar is moved to the left. As a result, all locking pieces 31 come into such an axial position that they are aligned with annular grooves 50 on the inner surface of the housing and are guided in these grooves when the cylinder core is rotated.
In the case of a key with the wrong magnetic coding, as a result of which the axial locking bar cannot be moved to the left, the innermost locking piece 31 remains in engagement with the recess 33 of the locking ring, and the force of the ball locking 35 is overcome when force is applied. The cylinder core can then be rotated a short distance until the locking pieces 31 abut the boundary surfaces 36 of the axial groove 32. A further rotation of the cylinder core and thus a locking of the locking device is subsequently impossible.
In the cylinder core 2 along the longitudinal edges of the key channel bores 11 are arranged, which extend from the key channel to the separating surface between the cylinder housing and the cylinder core. Balls 10, 14, 39 are arranged displaceably in the bores 11. As can be seen in particular in FIG. 3, the bores 11 are blind bores which allow the balls 10 to penetrate into the key channel only to the extent necessary for the balls to be released. The key 4 has ribs 8 and recesses 9 located on its longitudinal edges 5, 6 transversely to the insertion direction 7. Each ball 10 is assigned a recess 9.
As a result of these recesses 9, when the key and the cylinder core are turned, the balls 10 can assume a position in which they lie entirely within the cylinder core 2 (see FIG. 3). The mobility of the balls transversely to the insertion direction 7 of the key is made possible by the fact that the cylinder housing has a recess (groove) 12 in the axial direction. If a wrong key has a rib 8 instead of the recess 9 at a point where a ball 10 abuts, then the corresponding ball 10 abuts the run-up surface 37 and further rotation of the cylinder core is blocked. If the correct key is intended to carry a rib at such a location as intended, no ball may be contained in the associated bore 11 at this location.
To further increase the security against unlocking, the ball 14 is arranged in a bore 11, which, however, only allows the cylinder core to be rotated if the key has a rib 8 at the corresponding point and not a recess 9 as in the case of the balls 10. The effect of Ball 14 results in cooperation with the multi-part key retaining pin 17 arranged in the same rotational plane and the circumferential annular groove 15 in the housing 1.
The key holding pin 17 consists of a housing pin 18 and a core pin formed by two balls 21. In a known manner, the key holding pin 18 is held in division by the depth of the recess 16 of the key, so that the core pin can be displaced with respect to the housing pin. Due to the funnel-shaped design (funnel 38) of the housing pin 18, there is a certain latching effect, by means of which the cylinder core is given a defined central position in relation to the housing. When the cylinder core is rotated, the lower of the two balls 21 runs in the annular groove 15, as does the ball 14, which is held in position by the rib 8. After turning the key 4 around 1800, the ball 14 arrives at the housing pin 18 and slides over it, the locking effect by the funnel 38 being negligible.
The cylinder core can thus be rotated further and the locking or unlocking process can be carried out. However, if instead of the rib 8 there is a recess 9, as shown in broken lines, the ball 14 is pushed inward after rotation by 180 through the housing pin 18 under the pressure of the spring 19, as a result of which the funnel-shaped end of the housing pin 18 into the bore 11 of the ball 14 arrives and thereby prevents further rotation of the cylinder core.
The ball 39 lying furthest inside also cooperates with a rib 8 of the key and a housing pin 40 which is under the pressure of the spring 41.
If a wrong key is inserted, which has a recess instead of the rib 8, the ball 39 is pressed into the recess by the spring 41 and the housing pin 40, the housing pin 40 engaging in the bore 11 and blocking the cylinder core relative to the housing. When the cylinder core is turned with a correct key, the opposite point of the core shell in the form of a tongue 20 reaches the ball 39 (see FIG. 4, arrow 51). The tongue 20 is designed such that the ball 39 rolls on the surface of the cylinder core and does not snap into the slot 28 for the coupling element 27. Otherwise the housing pin would catch in the slot 28 and prevent the cylinder core from rotating further.
The shape of the coupling element can be clearly seen in FIGS. 1, 2 and 4. The coupling element 27 can be moved in the slot 28 in the axial direction and can snap into a coupling disc 42 connected to a locking nose ring 29. For this purpose, the clutch disc has a locking groove 43. The end of the coupling element which dips into the locking groove 43 carries a permanent magnet 44, by means of which a second coupling element 45 of the second right cylinder core of the double cylinder lock, which is constructed in the same way, is detachably held (FIG. 4). At the other end, the coupling element 27 is provided with a recess 46 for the tongue 20 and has a stop 47 by means of which the coupling element 27 is removed from the key tip or
the foremost rib 8 is displaced in the direction of the clutch disc.
In the area of the clutch just described, the cylinder core is held in the cylinder core by means of a circlip 48. This circlip must of course be shaped so that the axial movements of the coupling elements 27 arranged on the surface of the cylinder core and the axial locking strips 30 are not impeded.
The coupling construction described above is particularly advantageous within the lock construction according to FIG. 1, since this coupling makes it possible to mount a fourth magnetic rotor on each side of the key 4 in the vicinity of the coupling. With coupling designs described earlier, this space was required for the arrangement of another coupling.
In Fig. 7, a key is shown in side view, as it is also shown in Fig. 1. It can be seen that four magnetic pills 25 are arranged along the center line 24 of the key 4, grooves 22 and ribs 23 being arranged on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the key. The ribs 8 and recesses 9 on the
Longitudinal edges 5, 6 of the key are arranged transversely to the direction of insertion of the key. With 16 the recess for the key pin 17 is designated. In the key according to the invention, the conventional longitudinal ribs and grooves missing due to the magnetic pills 25 along the flat sides of the key are practically on the narrow ones
Longitudinal edges 5,6 arranged, namely transversely to the direction of insertion of the key.
Such ribs and recesses transverse to the direction of insertion of the key could also be on the flat sides of the key, e.g. be arranged between the magnetic pills. However, the production of such a key and the associated lock construction would be complex and prone to failure.
In Fig. 6, a so-called short cylinder is shown as a further embodiment of the inven tion, as e.g. used in low-strength doors. There is only space for three magnetic rotors on each side of the key, as well as a smaller number of bores 11 and associated balls 10. However, it can be seen that the remaining locking elements are arranged analogously to the construction in FIG. 1. The key according to FIG. 1 locks the lock according to FIG. 6, but the key from FIG. Not the lock according to FIG. 1. The possibility of using a long key even in a short cylinder is of particular advantage for the production of locking systems. The inside variation elements of the key 4 are of no importance and could also be omitted to lock the lock according to FIG. 6.
A key shortened in this way is indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 6. The length of the key 4 extends into the clutch disc 42, so that it must have a slot for receiving the key tip. With regard to the possible variations in the lock according to the invention, it should be said that each ball or the associated groove or rib on the longitudinal edge of the key provides two additional variations similar to the known longitudinal profiles. The fourth magnetic pill in the tip of the key provides eight possible magnetic vector positions per key side 82 = 64 additional variations.
In some cases it will not be necessary to equip the key with the maximum number of four magnetic pills in this case and the lock with the associated 8 magnetic rotors. To save costs, and if not too many variations are required, it may be sufficient to provide only three magnetic pills or 6 magnetic rotors despite the sufficient length of the key and the cylinder core. Even there are more possible variations than with conventional magnetic locks with 3 magnetic pills, since the arrangement of the 3 magnetic pills and analogous to the magnetic rotors can be chosen differently on the four or eight places available. To make it difficult to imitate a key, the free space in the key can be occupied by an uncoded or in any way coded (dummy-coded) magnetic pill.
The magnetic rotors in the lock would have to be omitted at this point. This applies not only to lock designs of the type described above, but to all magnetic locks with magnetic pills in the key and magnetic rotors in the lock.
9 to 14, an exemplary embodiment is shown in several variations, for example, the inventive concept described above being further developed by this exemplary embodiment. FIG. 8 shows a cross section which is guided radially through the cylinder and corresponds approximately to FIG. 3. For the sake of simplicity, e.g. the axially displaceable locking bars 30 or any magnetic rotors are omitted, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. The upper half of the section corresponds approximately to a section VIIIa-VIIIa in FIG. 1, and the lower half of the section corresponds approximately to a section line VIIIb-VIIIb in FIG. 1.
The core bears the reference number 101 and the housing 102. A key 104 with a magnetic pill 105 is inserted in the centrally arranged key channel 103. Blind holes 106 to 109 are arranged in the core 101, but not in the longitudinal center plane 110 of the key as in the construction described above lie, but are guided obliquely to the longitudinal edges of the key channel and the key. Balls 111 to 114 are arranged in the bores 106 to 109. In the construction according to FIG. 1, these balls correspond to balls 10, 14 and 39. The oblique arrangement of two bores 106, 107 and 108, 109 lying next to one another makes it possible to double the number of balls compared to the construction according to FIG to accommodate along the key channel, which also increases the possible number of variations accordingly.
The effect of the balls 111, 112 corresponds to that of the ball 14 from FIG. 1. This means that these balls must be held in the housing 102 by arranging a corresponding rib on the key 105 within the annular groove 15. If this is not the case and the key has chamfer cuts 115 or 116 indicated by dashed lines at these points, one of the balls 111 or 112 would be pressed into the bore by the housing pin 18 shown in FIG. 1 after rotation of the cylinder core by 180, as a result of which the housing pin 18 also enters the bore 107 or 106 and blocks the cylinder core 101 relative to the housing 102. The balls 111, 112 can be referred to as control balls.
The balls 113 and 114 correspond to the balls 10 in FIG. 1, and the chamfer cut 117 corresponds to the recess 9. In contrast to the control balls, these balls, which can be referred to as variation balls, have to disappear within the circumferential surface 118 of the cylinder core. The mobility of the balls in the rest position of the cylinder core is ensured by the axially guided recesses 119 and 120. The ball 114 shown at the bottom left in FIG. 8 is opposite the chamfer cut 117 of the key, which enables the ball 114 to move into the bore 109 when the cylinder core is rotated and to assume the position shown in the drawing.
The ball 113 shown on the right in FIG. 8 is not opposite a chamfer cut on the key, cannot dip into the bore 108 when the cylinder core is rotated, and thus blocks the lock. The key shown in cross section in FIG. 8 is thus incorrectly coded, and the lock can be locked with such a key due to the absence of the chamfer incision 121 shown in broken lines in FIG. 8.
9 and 10 show the key 104 according to the invention associated with the construction according to FIG. 8 in mutually assigned cracks. In this embodiment, the key carries magnetic pills 122 and the longitudinal grooves 123, 124 on the flat side visible in FIG. 9. The key cord 125 is indicated as broken off.
The longitudinal edges of the key 104 are broken by bevels 126, 127 and 128. The fourth longitudinal edge of the key, not shown in FIGS. 9, 10, is also beveled. These bevels 126 to 128 serve as a running surface for the balls 111 to 109 when the key is inserted into the key channel, whereby wear of these edges is reduced compared to sharp edges.
The chamfer cuts 129, 130 are drawn in at points A and B along the bevel 126. There are no chamfer cuts at points C and D. On the other longitudinal edge of the key (bevel 128), the chamfer cuts 131 and 132 are located at points A, C. On the bar side of the key (bevel 127), no bevel cuts are drawn in for the sake of simplicity. A ball, which is assigned to the chamfer incision 130, is indicated by dashed lines at 133. If the key is a correctly coded key, the ball 133 must correspond in function to the ball 114 in FIG. 8. At point D, a ball 134 is also indicated by dashed lines, which is opposite the bevel 126 of the key edge as a web.
If, as I said, the key is correctly coded, the ball 134 must correspond to a control ball according to the balls 111 or 112 in FIG. 8.
The chamfer cuts are made so deep that they extend into the longitudinal groove 123. This is advantageous in that it avoids the formation of sharp edges along the flat side of the key.
Various key cross sections are shown in FIGS. 11 to 14, which essentially illustrate all possible variations at positions A, B, C and D. Fig. 11 corresponds to position C in Figs. 9, 10, Fig. 12 corresponds to position B, Fig. 13 corresponds to position A and Fig. 14 corresponds to position D. The same variations are of course also on the lower edge, the beard side of the key, possible.
A further variation possibility is given in FIGS. 11 to 14 at the upper edge of the key in that the key also has a groove 135 along the narrow side or also a groove 136 on the lower narrow side. The grooves 135, 136 must be assigned protrusions 137 in the core, which is no longer difficult with the central arrangement of the key channel in the cylinder core.
The lock and key system shown can also be carried out without the arrangement of magnetic pills 122 and the associated rotor magnets. In this case, the annular grooves 15 and 50 are not available in the housing.
Therefore, if control balls are arranged according to balls 111 and 112, ring grooves must be milled on the inside wall of the housing. Otherwise, the housing material can remain completely, whereby the diameter for the core bore can correspond to the diameter of the core.
8 to 14, a variation in the arrangement of magnetic pills is also possible in that e.g. with four possible digits (i.e.
eight codable areas), only three of these places are provided with coded pills.
The following variation options are thus available in the inventive key according to FIGS. 8 to 14: a) longitudinal grooves and / or ribs (123, 124); b) the arrangement of longitudinal grooves or ribs on the key back and / or on the key base (135, 136, 137); c) the arrangement or non-arrangement of chamfer cuts at the possible locations of the key, with a variation both at the individual locations A, B, C or D being given by different individual or simultaneous arrangement of the chamfer incisions on the four key longitudinal edges, as well as by the variation these incisions with the various possible locations A, B, C, D along the key; d) Finally, there is also the option of varying the magnetic pills used on the key.
15 to 17 show a lock and an associated key, which can have advantages over the construction according to the embodiment of FIGS. 8 to 14.
In the construction according to FIGS. 8 to 14, with all other advantages in practice, the possibility of the optional arrangement of the variation balls, which interact with the corresponding chamfer cuts of the key, and of the control balls, which interact with the ribs and control pins, is limited. The control balls can only be arranged where the housing has an annular groove on the interface between the core and the housing. However, the position of the ring grooves is predetermined by the entire lock construction, in particular by the position of the locking elements 31. When working out locking systems, it is therefore not possible to choose the position of the control and variation balls as required.
This disadvantage is eliminated in the embodiment according to FIGS. 15 to 17. Regarding these figures, it should be said that the parts that are important for the explanation are shown only schematically in order to make the drawings clear.
The parts not shown or not described here, in particular with regard to a magnetic lock construction that may be provided, can e.g. 1 to 7 are removed. According to this embodiment, the diameter of the variation balls 201 is approximately equal to or less than the distance between the chamfer cut base 203 and the separating surface 204 between the core 205 and the housing 206. The diameter of the control balls 202 is approximately equal to or smaller than the distance between the chamfer 207 of the key 208 and the mentioned parting plane. The control and variation balls 201, 202 thus each have different diameters. The control and variation balls are preferably guided in bores 209, 210 which each correspond approximately to the diameters of the associated balls.
When designing locking systems and arranging the variation and control balls, the arrangement of the corresponding holes must therefore be taken into account when manufacturing the core. The control pins 211 cooperating with the control balls 202 are under spring pressure (spring 212) and have an area of reduced diameter at the head end 213, this diameter corresponding to that of the bore 210 for the control ball (s) 202, so that the head end of the control pin is not at inserted key or a wrong key, which has a chamfer cut 214 at this point, engages in the bore 210 and blocks rotation of the cylinder core. The control and variation balls and also the control pins are each arranged in the area of the annular webs 215 already described above (see FIG.
15).
A particular advantage of this exemplary embodiment lies in the fact that different balls, i.e. control and variation balls, can be provided together in that plane (e.g. according to line 216) in which a control pin and up to four balls can optionally be arranged. According to the previously described exemplary embodiments, this was not possible; only either control or variation balls could be arranged in a radial plane.
17 shows the cross section through a key in a particularly preferred embodiment. On both flat sides 217, 218 of the key, two longitudinal grooves 220 to 223 which are variable in width are provided above and below the magnetic pills 219. The grooves 221, 223 have full width in this figure, the remaining two grooves 220, 222 are only milled out half. The flanks 226 of the grooves closest to the key edges 224,225 are at an angle of about 15 to the vertical 227 to the key center plane 228. The other flanks 229,230 directed towards the key interior are arranged steeper and are approximately between 5 (229) and 0 ( 230) to the perpendicular to the key middle level.
The arrangement and design of the grooves shown here results in particularly good guidance of the key, which can be essential for such complicated, magnet-based locks.
The number of variations of the key is considerably increased by the variation possibilities of the grooves.
The key shown is asymmetrical in its cross-sectional shape, in that the bevels 207 converge at the back of the key 225, while the key face 224 is flat or frustoconical. This arrangement prevents the key from being inserted incorrectly into the key channel, namely rotated by 1800. This is particularly important with the present lock construction, as the key inserted incorrectly at the point of a control ball may then can have a chamfer cut, whereby the small control ball can be pushed into the core by the control pin and the core can be caught by the control pin.
Catching an incorrectly coded key with control balls and control pins mentioned above can be used in some
Cases can also be disadvantageous. When working out locking systems, this can be taken into account by always providing the control pins in the same places in all locks of this system. However, it is also possible to remove the bores for the control balls after a direction of rotation up to the parting plane between the core and the housing, as is indicated by the broken line in FIG. 16 (line 225). If the pin catches in the bore when turning in one direction, the pin can be lifted out of the bore when the screw is turned back and the key can then be removed. By appropriately dimensioning all parts, care must be taken to ensure that the balls do not jam in their careers when the core is twisted.
