5. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the screw coil (3) consists of rigid plastic of 2 to 5 mm thickness.
6. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the coupling part (2) has a screw thread.
The present invention relates to a device for rodent control, in particular using rodenticides.
Rodenticides are often highly toxic substances for humans. Known rodenticides based on aluminum phosphide, magnesium phosphide or calcium phosphide form toxic and malodorous phosphine vapors in the air, which makes their handling even more difficult. Great care must therefore be taken when using such rodenticides. So far, rodenticides, which are commercially available as powders or tablets in tin cans or metal bottles and the like, have been distributed by hand at the sites infested with rodents such as voles or moles. It was hardly avoidable that the user came into contact with the toxin and inhaled its harmful vapors. Another application in which contact is avoided is pouring directly out of the packaging into the rodent burrows dug by the rodents.
This application by carefully pouring out the pellet requires a great deal of skill on the part of the user, so that not many pellets fall out at the same time, but one after the other and can be dosed well, so that an even distribution is guaranteed; In addition, this application method has the disadvantage that the poison can be distributed very poorly in flat and long shafts. With this form of application, the user is still exposed to the harmful gases that form the rodenticide. There was therefore a need for an application device that enables the toxins to be distributed in the caves dug by the rodents without the person involved coming into contact with the nuisance or being bothered by it.
It is therefore the object of the invention to avoid the disadvantages in the previous use of highly toxic substances for rodent control and to provide a device with which rodenticides, in particular, can be safely brought to locations affected by rodents.
To achieve the object, the rodent control device according to the invention comprises a tube with a coupling part and has a helix inside with at least three turns, each turn being firmly connected to the inner wall of the tube, and the tube being connected to a rodenticide tablet via the coupling part filled vessel with an opening matching the coupling part.
The coupling part preferably has a screw thread for connection to the vessel filled with rodenticide tablets.
The invention is explained in more detail below in an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing. Show it:
Figure 1 shows a device for rodent control in the oblique crack and
Figure 2 shows the device of Fig. 1 ready for use connected to a vessel filled with rodenticide tablets in elevation.
The tube 1 of the device is at least 20 cm, preferably 40 to 60 cm long and is preferably made of transparent material, such as plastic or glass; however, it can also consist of light metal or iron, for example. The pipe diameter is suitably 1 to 5 cm.
At one end, the tube 1 has a coupling part 2, preferably with a screw thread as a connection. The coupling part 2, via which the tube 1 can be firmly placed on a vessel, can also be, for example, a cork or rubber ring surrounding the tube 1. In the tube 1 there is a helix 3, which consists of e.g.
rigid plastic and is 2 to 5 mm thick. The helical coil 3 has at least three turns, each turn of which is firmly connected to the inner wall of the tube 1. According to a preferred embodiment, the helical coil 3 has 5 to 10 turns over a length of 20 to 30 cm.
For use, the dosing and application device for rodenticides is placed on a container filled with rodenticide pellets or tablets, e.g. B. a bottle, which has an opening with a fitting to the coupling part 2 of the tube 1, counterpart (Fig. 2). When the vessel is tilted so that the tube 1 is directed towards the floor, the poison tablets can be easily metered, i.e. H. one after the other from the vessel through the pipe to the earth or into the earth caves. For dosing with the new device according to the invention, a circular movement of the vessel with the tube sitting thereon is carried out until the next tablet or the next pellet falls. In this way, several tablets or pellets can be introduced into the passages dug by rodents.
With the aid of the device according to the invention, the user can also distribute the rodenticides into deeper, poorly accessible soil holes without coming into contact with them or being bothered by the harmful and malodorous phosphine vapors. With the device according to the invention, a convenient and substantially safe application of rodenticides is possible.
