The invention relates to a strength training device with a padded counter pressure bar which can be actuated by the knees with the thighs against resistance.
In a known device of the aforementioned type, a cushion plate is pushed up against weights. Since the forces reached can be more than 2000 N, large weights must be used even with a lever transmission, which makes the handling of such devices impractical. In another known device, the practicing person stands with the front half of his foot on a board while he has a waist belt strapped to which a downward force is exerted. This downward pull not only results in a load on the ankle with the calf muscles, but also on the thigh and hip muscles, which can cause these parts to tire prematurely.
The present invention is based on the objective that such an easy-to-build device have a simple, continuous force setting, the angular position of the counter-pressure bar not to be changed when the resistance is set, the body ratios of each practitioner are easily adapted and the Participate in the movement of the knee without the pad being moved in the longitudinal direction of the thigh.
To achieve the above object, the device according to the invention is characterized in that a frame has a seat and at a lateral and vertical distance obliquely above the seat a cushioned counter pressure bar. which is intended for pushing up through the thighs from an initial position at an angle of approx. 60 to the vertical and which is arranged in an articulated manner at the end of a pivoting lever which is pivotably mounted on the frame by means of a pivoting axis and can be pivoted against the action of a resistance element which is connected to its one end at one to the
The pivot axis of the arcuate part of the pivot lever is adjustably fastened along the same and is articulated with its other end at a distance from the pivot axis on the frame.
The resistance force is preferably generated by a gas spring consisting of a piston / cylinder unit, which has the advantage that it allows adjustment due to the existing length limitation in the unloaded state, during which the pressure force has approximately zero value.
Further details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description and the drawings, in which embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown purely by way of example.
Show it:
Fig. 1 is a diagrammatic representation of the training device.

Fig. 4 is a side view of another embodiment.
A height-adjustable and lockable fastening part (8) is arranged on a frame (10, 13, 14) and carries the pivot axis (4) with the pivot lever (1, 3)
3, a padded counter pressure bar (2) is directly articulated to one end of an arcuate pivot lever (3). This arcuate pivot lever (3) is in turn articulated with the other end on the displaceable frame part (8). This curved pivot lever (3) carries a sliding part (5) with a locking device (6) for articulated reception of one end of a gas spring (7), while the other end of this gas spring is attached to the displaceable frame part (8). This displaceable frame part (8) can be adjusted in height in order to adapt to the size of the practitioner's lower leg. A skirting board (12) is used to support the feet.
1, 2 and 4, the padded counter pressure bar (2) for the thighs is articulated to a swivel lever (1, 3), which is in the bearing (4) on a displaceable frame part (8) in the middle part of this swivel lever (1, 3) is articulated. An arcuate part (3) of the pivoting lever extends on the side of the frame opposite the pivoting axis (4) and the padded counter pressure beam. This curved swivel lever part (3) receives a sliding part (5) with a locking device (6). One end of a gas spring (7) is articulated on this sliding part (5), while the other end of this gas spring (7) is articulated on the displaceable frame part (8). A skirting board (12) is used to support the feet.
In summary, the advantages of the above be
Written device compared to known exercise possibilities to see that in this device, the resistance can be continuously adjusted without changing the angular position of the pivot lever with the counter pressure bar, that by using springs instead of weights on the total weight can be saved considerably, the device on simple How the body size can be adjusted and the counter pressure bar follows the movement of the knee with the thigh as accurately as possible.
