AB. Borkovec und A.B. DeMilo (J. Med. Chem. wo (5), 457 (1967) sowie G.C. LaBrecque, R.L. Fye, A.B. DeMilo und A.B. Borkovec (J. Econ. Entomol.
a) ein gegebenenfalls N-substituiertes 2,4-Diamino-6-halogen-s-triazin der Formel II
EMI2.1

Feste Aufarbeitungsformen:
Stäubemittel, Streumittel, Granulate, Umhüllungsgranulate, Imprägnierungsgranulate und Homogengranulate, Premix (Futterzusatz)
Flüssige Aufarbeitungsformen: a) in Wasser dispergierbare Wirkstoffkonzentrate: Spritz pulver (wettable powder) Pasten, Emulsionen; b) Lösungen: Sprühmittel (Aerosole)
In Wasser dispergierbare Wirkstoffkonzentrate, d. h.

No. 3,189,521 describes N-alkyl-melamine derivatives as chemosterilants for adult male and female houseflies.
The insect chemosterilizing effect of N-alkylmelamine derivatives is also described by S. Nagasawa et al., Bo tyu-Kagaku 39 (4), 105 (1974). FROM. Borkovec and A.B. DeMilo (J. Med. Chem. Wo (5), 457 (1967) and GC LaBrecque, RL Fye, AB DeMilo and AB Borkovec (J. Econ. Entomol. 61 (6>, 1621 (1968) further describe the chemosterilizing Effect of, inter alia, N ÄthyI-melamine and other N-alkyl-melamine derivatives and their hydrochlorides on adult houseflies.
The above-mentioned insect chemosterilants are substances which are administered to the adult insects, i.e. the stages of reproduction and propagation in the development cycle of the insects, in order to reduce or completely prevent the insect's ability to reproduce. The control of harmful insect populations by using sterilized but fertile insects with the ultimate goal of self-destruction is an indirect method of controlling insects.
Under practical conditions, in which the sterilized, fertile insects meet with reproductive populations, the thinning of the total population extends over several to numerous generations. For insects that act as transmitters of pathogens, this means that the pathogens can continue to spread over a long period of time.
In addition, insects may gradually become resistant to the chemosterilans used.
It is therefore necessary to have, in addition to long-term control measures, practical options for quicker control of the insects. Surprisingly, it has now been found that indirect treatment of juvenile insect stages, namely the feeding and growth stages in the development cycle of the insects, with compounds of the formula I results in the death of the egg larvae or a prevention of the hatching of adults from the pupae.
The mode of action of the compounds of the formula cannot be compared with the mode of action of classic insecticides, chemosterilants or juvenile hormone analogs.
The active ingredients of the formula I can be used above all to combat hygiene pests and animal ectoparasites from the Diptera order and the families
Culicidae
Simuliidae
Tipulidae
Muscidae and Calliphoridae are used.

wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 have the meaning given for the formula I and X is halogen, preferably chlorine, with ammonia or a primary or secondary amine of the formula III
EMI2.2
wherein R5 and R6 have the meaning given for formula I, or b) an optionally N-substituted one for the preparation of those compounds of formula 1 in which R3 has the same meaning as R5 and R4 has the same meaning as R6 2-Amino-4,6-dihalogen-s-triazine of the formula IV

The substitution of the halogen atoms X in the compounds of the formulas II and IV with ammonia, primary and / or secondary amines of the formulas III and V can be carried out by using the starting materials indicated under formula II or formula IV in inert solvents, such as acetone, Acetone / water mixtures, methyl ethyl ketone, dioxane or dioxane / water mixtures dissolves and these mixtures at normal or possibly elevated pressure and at temperatures of 2> 180 "C, preferably at 50-150" C, with ammonia, primary and / or secondary amines. If necessary, excess, primary or secondary amine can also be used as the solvent.
Most of the starting materials of formulas II, III, IV and V are known or can be prepared analogously to known processes.
Example 1 2-Dimethylamino-4-ethylamino-6-amino-s4riazine
A mixture of 21.9 g of 2-dimethylamino-4-ethylamino6-chloro-s-triazine, 32.4 g of 25% conc. aqueous ammonia and 50 ml of dioxane is heated in an autoclave for 3 hours at 150 ° C. After cooling, the reaction mixture is poured onto water. The crude product precipitates out. After drying, it is recrystallized from benzene, mp 127-129 C.

A mixture of 120 g of 2,4-diamino-6-chloro-s-triazine and 480 g of morpholine is boiled under reflux for 15 hours. The mixture is then concentrated to about 1/4 of the amount present under reduced pressure and the residue is poured onto 1 liter of water. The raw product fails. After drying, it is recrystallized from water / ethanol 4: 1, mp. 245 "C.
The following active compounds of the formula I are also prepared in a manner analogous to that in the abovementioned examples: No. ) -s triazine 168-170 3 2,4-diamino-6- (dimethylamino) -s triazine 314-316 4 2,4-diamino-6- (1-pyrrolidinyl) -s triazine 295-297 5 2,4 -Diamino-6-piperidino-s-triazine 218-219 6 2,4-diamino-6- (4-methylpiperazin 1 -yl) -s-triazine monohydrate 207-209 7 2-amino-4,6-bis- (ethylamino) -s triazine 150-153 8 2-isopropylamino-4 methoxymethylamino-6 piperidino-s-triazine 121-123 9 2-methylamino-4,6-bis (dimethylamino) -s-triazine 100-102
The compounds of formula I can be used alone or together with suitable carriers and / or additives.
Suitable carriers and additives can be solid or liquid and correspond to the substances commonly used in formulation technology, e.g. B. natural or regenerated substances, solvents and / or dispersants.
Agents according to the invention are prepared in a manner known per se by intimately mixing and / or grinding active ingredients of the formula I with the suitable carriers, optionally with the addition of dispersing agents or solvents which are inert to the active ingredients.
The active ingredients can be present and used in the following processing forms:
Fixed processing forms:
Dusts, grit, granules, coating granules, impregnation granules and homogeneous granules, premix (feed additive)
Liquid processing forms: a) water-dispersible active ingredient concentrates: wettable powder pastes, emulsions; b) Solutions: spray agents (aerosols)
The active ingredients are mixed with solid carriers to produce solid processing forms (dusts, scattering agents).
Carriers include, for example, kaolin, talc, bolus, loess, chalk, limestone, lime semolina, ataclay, dolomite, diatomaceous earth, precipitated silica, alkaline earth metal silicates, sodium and potassium aluminum silicates (feldspar and mica), calcium and magnesium sulfates, magnesium oxide, ground plastics, Ground vegetable products such as corn flour, tree bark flour, wood flour, nutshell flour, cellulose powder, residues from plant extracts, activated carbon, etc., each individually or as a mixture with each other in question.
Granules can be produced very easily by dissolving an active ingredient of the formula I in an organic solvent and the resulting solution on a granulated mineral, e.g. Apply attapulgite, SiO2, granicalcium, bentonite, etc. and then evaporate the organic solvent again.
Polymer granules can also be prepared by mixing the active compounds of the formula I with polymerizable compounds, whereupon a gentle polymerization is carried out, the active substances remain unaffected, and the granulation is still carried out during the gel formation. It is cheaper to use finished, porous polymer granules (urea / formaldehyde, polyacrylonitrile, polyester and others) with a specific surface and favorable, predeterminable adsorption / desorption ratio with the active ingredients e.g.
to impregnate in the form of their solutions (in a low-boiling solvent) and to remove the solvent. Such polymer granules can also be applied in the form of microgranules with bulk densities of preferably 300 to 600 g / liter with the aid of atomizers.
Granules are also available by compacting the carrier material with the active ingredients and additives and then crushing them.
These mixtures can also be admixed with additives which stabilize the active ingredient and / or nonionic, anionic and cationic substances which ensure, for example, better wettability (wetting agents) and dispersibility (dispersants).
For example, the following substances are suitable: Olein / lime mixture, cellulose derivatives (methyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose), hydroxyethylene glycol ether of mono- and dialkylphenols with 5-15 ethylene oxide residues per molecule and 8-9 carbon atoms in the alkyl residue, lignin sulfonic acid, its alkali and alkaline earth metal salts, poly ethylene glycol ether (carbowax), fatty alcohol polyglycol ether with 5-20 ethylene oxide residues per molecule and 8-18 carbon atoms in the fatty alcohol part, condensation products of ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, polyvinylpyrrolidones, polyvinyl alcohols, condensation products of urea / formaldehyde and latex products.
Active ingredient concentrates dispersible in water, i.e. H.
Wettable powders, pastes and emulsion concentrates are agents that can be diluted with water to any desired concentration. They consist of active ingredient, carrier, optionally additives stabilizing the active ingredient, surface-active substances and anti-foaming agents and optionally solvents. The wettable powders and pastes are obtained by mixing and grinding the active ingredients with dispersants and powdered carriers in suitable devices until homogeneous. Suitable carriers are, for example, those mentioned above for the solid processing forms. In some cases it is advantageous to use mixtures of different carriers.
The following can be used as dispersants, for example: condensation products of sulfonated naphthalene and sulfonated naphthalene derivatives with formaldehyde, condensation products of naphthalene or naphthalene sulfonic acids with phenol and formaldehyde and alkali metal, ammonium and alkaline earth metal salts of lignin sulfonic acid, further alkylarylsulfonates, alkali metal and alkaline earth metal sulfate, and alkali metal alkali metal sulfate such as salts of sulfated hexadecanols, heptadecanols, octadecanols and salts of sulfated fatty alcohol glycol ethers, the sodium salt of oleyl methyl tauride, ditertiary ethylene glycols, dialkyldilauryl ammonium chloride and fatty acid alkali and alkaline earth metal salts.
For example, silicone oils can be used as anti-foaming agents. The active ingredients are mixed, ground, sieved and passed with the additives listed above in such a way that the solid fraction in the wettable powders does not exceed a grain size of 0.02 to 0.04 and in the pastes it does not exceed 0.03 mm. Dispersants such as those listed in the previous sections, organic solvents and water are used to prepare emulsion concentrates and pastes. Examples of suitable solvents are alcohols, dimethyl sulfoxide and mineral oil fractions boiling in the range from 120 to 350 ° C.
The solvents should be practically odorless and inert to the active ingredients.
Furthermore, the agents according to the invention can be used in the form of solutions. For this purpose, the active ingredient or several active ingredients of the general formula I are admixed with suitable organic solvents or solvent mixtures. Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, their chlorinated derivatives, alkylnaphthalenes, mineral oils can be used alone or as a mixture with one another as organic solvents.

The following ingredients are used to make a 2% spray:
2 parts of active ingredient
98 parts of kerosene.
Other biocidal agents or agents can be added to the agents described. Thus, in addition to the compounds of the general formula I mentioned, the new compositions can contain, for example, insecticides to broaden the spectrum of action.
The agents or the active ingredients contained therefore develop their development-inhibiting effect primarily on larvae or pupae of insects, preferably of the order Diptera.
