Description

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Stricken eines elastischen Randes einer Strickware auf einer Kleindurchmesser-Rundstrickmaschine. The present invention relates to a method for knitting an elastic edge of a knitted fabric on a small diameter circular knitting machine.

Es ist bekannt, dass auf Kleindurchmesser-Rundstrickmaschinen zur Herstellung von Strickware, wie insbesondere Socken oder Kniestrümpfe, ein elastischer Rand so gestrickt wird, dass in einem Stricksystem mit einem Garn Maschen mit sämtlichen Nadeln gebildet werden und in einem weiteren Stricksystem lediglich mit den geraden Nadeln gestrickt wird, wobei die ungeraden Nadeln das Garn nur auffangen und Fangmaschen bilden. Im nachfolgenden Stricksystem wird dann elastisches Garn in die Nadeln in einer Fangstellung eingelegt, und zwar entweder in die geraden oder in die ungeraden Nadeln. Dabei wird die notwendige Randbreite nur mit Hilfe eines stark gespannten elastischen Garns erreicht, was jedoch dessen Dehnungsver-mögen begrenzt. Das unerwünschte Einrollen kann teilweise dadurch begrenzt werden, dass die Anfangsmaschenreihe des Randes durch Einlegen einer grösseren Zahl von Reihen aus elastischem Garn verstärkt wird. Diese Lösung begrenzt jedoch noch mehr die Elastizität des Randes, und nur durch die Verwendung hochqualitativer elastischer Garne kann das verlangte Dehnungsvermögen erreicht werden.
