Abstract

The case is closed in a removable manner by a hard metal bezel (13) which has an approximately constant thickness and which carries the glass, which is also hard (made of a tempered mineral or of sapphire) (14). This bezel is held flat against the upper surface (17) of a steel, and hence easily machinable, body (1), while compressing a gasket (12) by the head (18) of studs whose shaft (19) passes through a drilling (21) in the bezel (13) and engages in a bore (20) in the body (1) where it is locked by a screw (22). The bezel (13) thus constitutes a shield for protecting the case and which can be machined and optionally coloured independently of the body of the case. <IMAGE>
