Die Erfindung betrifft ein medizinisches Abdecktuch mit einer an seiner Unterseite vorgesehenen Klebeschicht zum Verhaften des Tuches mit dem Körper eines Patienten und einer Aussparung zur Freilegung einer Eingriffsstelle. Bei bekannten Abdecktüchern dieser Art ist die Aussparung in Form eines von einem in sich geschlossenen Rand umgebenen Loches etwa in der Tuchmitte angeordnet. Da das durch das Loch bestimmte Operationsfeld je nach Art des vorzunehmenden Eingriffes verschieden gross sein kann, müssen Abdecktücher mit verschiedenen Lochgrössen auf Lager gehalten werden, was einen erhöhten Platzbedarf und ständige Kontrolle des noch vorhandenen Vorrats bedeutet. Es ist ferner bekannt, vier einzelne, rechteckige Abdecktücher einander überlappend unter Freilassung eines Operationsfeldes auf den Körper eines Patienten aufzukleben oder dort mit Klemmen zu befestigen. Dabei lassen sich aber nur Eingriffsstellen ausbilden, deren Begrenzungsränder Ecken aufweisen, was im Hinblick auf die Keimfreihaltung nachteilig sein kann. Ausserdem ist das Aufbringen und Befestigen von vier Tüchern umständlich und zeitraubend, ganz abgesehen davon, dass auf diese Weise an bestimmten Körperstellen die Befestigung und Einstellung von vier Tüchern auf Schwierigkeiten stösst. Bei der in Fig. 1 dargestellten, ersten Ausführungsform eines medizinischen Abdecktuches gemäss der Erfindung sind zwei rechteckige Tuchteile 1 und 2 vorgesehen, von denen der Teil 1 an seinem einen geradlinigen Rand 3 eine halbovale, nach der einen Seite hin offene Aussparung 4 aufweist. Die Aussparung 4 könnte bei dieser und den weiter unten noch zu besprechenden Ausführungsformen der Erfindung auch halbkreisförmig, halbelliptisch oder auch - wie in Fig. 1 gestrichelt angedeutet — von geraden Linien 5 begrenzt und beispielsweise dreieckig gestaltet sein. Der rechteckige Teil 2 des Tuches, welcher im Gegensatz zum Teil 1 keine Aussparung 4 aufweist, ist so über den Teil 1 geschoben, dass die Aussparung 4 teilweise überdeckt ist und eine Eingriffsstelle 6 bestimmter Grösse auf dem Patientenkörper freibleibt.
