Die Erfindung betrifft ein Spannbettuch aus elastischem Material mit einem Oberteil, bei dem an Rändern nach innen und gegeneinander umgeschlagene, mit dem Oberteil zwei Taschen bildende Lappen angeordnet sind, wobei die gegeneinandergekehrten spannzuglosen Längsränder der Lappen eine Öffnung für das Überziehen einer Matratze bilden und die Lappen in Funktionsstellung die Unterseite der Matratze bereichsweise untergreifen, sowie ein Verfahren zu dessen Herstellung.
