The subject of the present invention is a socket outlet,
comprising a bowl and a base carrying the terminals
connection.
Known sockets are fitted with spacers which, according to the
distance between the base mounted in a cavity provided for this purpose
and the bowl, must be exchanged. These spacers have
determined lengths and there is often unwanted play
between the socket and its fixing. In addition, the connection terminals
are molded or fixed in the base and therefore are not
accessible only on one side.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks
nients and the socket which is the subject of it is characterized in that a
terminal clamp is placed between the base and the bowl and retained by
latching on said base, in that the bowl carries, on its
face facing the base, two elastic tabs and a foot
rigid, the elastic tabs engaging in the portions
conical holes presented by the base and the rigid foot taking
support, on the one hand, against the terminal clamp and, on the other hand, against
the base, and in that two columns, adjustable in length and
telescopically engaging holes, are mounted on
a fixing plate and are retained by screws
in the shoulders they present.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, a shape
execution of the socket outlet object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a side view, the different parts being
separated from each other to allow better distinctions
war,
fig. 2 is a plan view of FIG. 1,
fig. 3 is a view of the socket mounted, the plate
cover being removed, and
fig. 4 is a view, along arrow X, of the base with the greenhouse
terminals mounted on it.
In the embodiment shown in Figs. 1 to 4, the socket is a three-pole socket with earth and neutral, but the same construction can be adapted to a two-pole socket with earth. This socket comprises a bowl 1, a greenhouse 2 and a base 3 made of an injected dielectric material. The face facing the bowl 1 of the terminal clamp 2 is arranged so that it can engage in the rear face of the bowl 1 so that the two lower guides 4 (fig. 1 and 4) of the terminals S, T intended to receive the corresponding pins of the plug (not shown) rest in tubular sleeves 5 of the bowl 1, while the three upper guides 6 of the terminals R, earth and neutral bear against the bottom of the bowl 1.
A rigid foot 7 at the bottom of the bowl 1 rests, on the one hand, partially on the terminal clamp 2 and, on the other hand, partially on the base 3.
The rear face of the terminal clamp 2 bears against the front face of the base 3 and is retained on the latter by a stud 8 which engages in a hole 9 in the clamp clamp 2. Said stud has, at its free end, a bulge 10 so that the terminal clamp 2 can snap into a groove 11 formed in the wall of the hole 9 (fig. 1) and firmly hold these two assembled parts.
To receive the pins of the plug, sockets 12 are provided connected by lugs 13 to terminals 14, these parts having the shape of a Z (fig. 1). For clarity of the drawing, only one of the terminals has been shown. The terminals 14 are cylindrical and tapped at 15 over their entire length. Furthermore, their two ends are provided with a ring of slots 16 so that the connection wire 17 can be introduced and retained firmly between the head of the screw 18 and the slots 16 (FIGS. 1 and 4).
The base 3 has cells 19 intended to receive the terminals 14 and also carries a ring of slots 16a.
On its two faces, the base 3 is provided with fixing means 20
which, on the side facing the bowl 1, serve as housings and guides for the balusters 21. The latter have, approximately halfway along their length, a shoulder 22 facing the inside of the socket. On the side facing the base 3, the balusters 21 end with rectangular tabs, the edges of which are rounded. These legs engage in guide holes 23 of the fixing means 20 of the base 3. Finally, the fixing means 20 have stepped holes 24 which, on the side facing the bowl 1, have a conical portion 25.
The two columns 21 are held telescopically by screws 26 threaded in the stepped holes 24 and which are screwed into the shoulders 22 (fig. 3). The columns 21 are, on the side facing the bowl 1, circular and are retained by screws 27 on a fixing plate 28. As can be seen in FIGS. 3 and 4, the terminal clamp 2 rests without lateral play between the fixing means 20, but the balusters 21 allow adjustment between the base 3 and the fixing plate 28 from one to six mm.
The bowl 1 carries, on its face turned towards the base 3, two elastic tongues 29, the ends of which bear against the conical portions 25 of the holes 24 and cause automatic plating of the various parts of the socket, since said conical portions push the tongues 29 against the screws 26. A screw (not shown), threaded into the hole 30 (fig. 1) of the bowl 1, engages in the lug 8 of the base 3, so that the terminals 14 are perfectly secured and that the three parts of the socket, namely the bowl 1, the terminal clamp 2 and the base 3, are assembled without play.
The screws 18 of the terminals 14 can be reversed, which makes it possible to establish the connections both of the front face and of the rear face of the base 3. The screws 26 can also be reversed, which makes it possible to fix the base 3 directly on a support.
